Wanted to mention that I often have extreme difficulty voting up people when I am grateful for what they post.
Hmmmm my Macafee post disappeared. Yes I was having occasional severe MacaFee popups destroying my time here intermittently. I had to get a replacement phone for a different reason but in the 2 days I have had it so far no MacaFee popups! Just wanted to let you know you aren’t alone on that. COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 98
The glory of the Redeemer. (1-3) The joy of the Redeemer. (4-9)
1-3 A song of praise for redeeming love is a new song, a mystery hidden from ages and generations. Converts sing a new song, very different from what they had sung. If the grace of God put a new heart into our breasts, it will put a new song into our mouths. Let this new song be sung to the praise of God, in consideration of the wonders he has wrought. The Redeemer has overcome all difficulties in the way of our redemption, and was not discouraged by the services or sufferings appointed him. Let us praise him for the discoveries made to the world of the work of redemption; his salvation and his righteousness fulfilling the prophecies and promises of the Old Testament. In pursuance of this design, God raised up his Son Jesus to be not only a Light to lighten the Gentiles, but the glory of his people Israel. Surely it behoves us to inquire whether his holy arm hath gotten the victory in our hearts, over the power of Satan, unbelief, and sin? If this be our happy case, we shall exchange all light songs of vanity for songs of joy and thanksgiving; our lives will celebrate the Redeemer’s praise.
4-9 Let all the children of men rejoice in the setting up the kingdom of Christ, for all may benefit by it. The different orders of rational creatures in the universe, seem to be described in figurative language in the reign of the great Messiah. The kingdom of Christ will be a blessing to the whole creation. We expect his second coming to begin his glorious reign. Then shall heaven and earth rejoice, and the joy of the redeemed shall be full. But sin and its dreadful effects will not be utterly done away, till the Lord come to judge the world in righteousness. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

The manufacturers of PRE-FAB LIT CHRISTMAS TREES HATE US. I have a beautiful tree that I’ve been very fond of that has magnolia leaves and pine cones on it. It has been a great tree for years. It still has the traditional incandescent bulbs, but they are not the type that one goes out… the others stay lit. Two years ago, I purchased one of those voltage guns that you can use to go light – to light – to light to see which of the bulbs is burnt out. The gun also has a place for testing the fuses for each of the wire runs. Great, right?
Wrong.
These trees have those wires so tightly wound around the tree that it is hard to follow the “in series” path of the wire – so this year, I thought I would invest the time and unwrap the lights from the tree – so I could do my best “Clark Griswold” and stretch out the runs and check all the lights before mounting them on the tree. Sounds “smart”, right?
WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG
I have been at this sucker for about thirty minutes now, have cuts up my bleeding arms, and every FEW INCHES of this @#$%!^!^^!@^### tree – like every FOUR inches on this light run – there is floral wire tightly wound SEVERAL times in each place that your fingers have to search for it, feel to determine the direction of the winding, and unwind. Because of our cats, I have a fanny pack on to collect these monstrous floral wire pieces. Each floral wire is about three inches long and it’s not twisted once, not twice – but around ten or so times and then wound, wound, wound tightly on each limb.
No kidding – about 30 minutes and I’ve only freed 40 small lights and, gosh, there must be 300 or more lights on this tree. I really do not want to resort to WIRE CUTTERS to sacrificially free this tree from the restraints of the light wires, but I can absolutely see now why us “lazy Americans” just throw these trees away and get a new one rather than hassle with it.
Somewhere – there is sweat shop hiring these poor people (children?) with small hands to tie these lights on these “quality trees” and they hate their bosses, hate Christmas, hate the people that buy these trees – and they have so many cuts up and down their bleeding little arms that it is abhorrent. I can totally tell because those floral wires are so ridiculously wound – wound – wound. They have to have small hands, because the places where these floral wires are located are quite obscure and hard to get at and I have small hands.
This is so much worse than trying to free the Chinese made doll from the gift box she’s tied into.
Do yourselves a favor if you are in the market – BUY UNLIT ARTIFICIAL CHRISTMAS TREES.
Now where are those #$@^!@^&^&@# wire cutters?

I’ve just finished perusing yesterday’s OT. So much to take in: and so many emotions evoked – from tears of laughter to tears of sorrow.
Your kitty, Timmy, and my kitty, Ozzie are living parallel lives. Ozzie is 18y/o and has been living on the “precipice” for a few years. Thought he was going to heaven for sure last week, but, he recovered once again – to my relief. It is a temporary reprieve, I know, but still appreciated.
He and his sister, Harriet (also 18), often get lost in the house in the wee hours. Like you, I hear every hiss or cry, and go retrieve them. I will miss them soon enough.
So glad to hear you have landed in a good and comfortable place of employment. They will soon discover your many talents. ❤️
Corny – my whole heart to you, Sis. I’ve missed you and the gang here. But, I am buried. Flooded with emotion. Get yourself a stiff alcoholic beverage and there’s a big ol’ long post on the Prayer Thread responding to Della.
Warning – it’s not a happy one. It’s an update on kiddo and how my hands are tied.
Thus – on a POSITIVE, rational note…. we will cater to our Ozzies, Harriets, and Timmys and give them their very best lives. As that awesome meme so aptly states – for us, we think of many – for them, we are their “only” and they deserve no less than our very best.

Following penetration, and parallel with the forced disintegration of political and social institutions of the state, these tendencies may be detached and transferred to the political or ideological cause of the aggressor”
Rebellion against God’s Will using subversion as a tool to achieve political goals because it generally carries less risk, cost, and difficulty as opposed to open belligerency. Furthermore, it is a relatively cheap form of warfare that does not require large amounts of training. A subversive is something or someone carrying the potential for some degree of subversion.
In this context, a “subversive” is sometimes called a “traitor” with respect to (and usually by) the government in power. Subversion is also often a goal of comedians, artists and people in those careers. In this case, being subversive can mean questioning, poking fun at, and undermining the established order in general.
Are we not familiar with the Demoncrap’s arsenal of tricks? A coup d’état, or working through traditional means in a political system to bring about change, according to their wishes?

Healing Hand, as I lay in my bed this evening, I pray for Your restorative power to touch my life. Mend what has been broken, soothe what has been hurt, and heal what has been wounded. May I find in sleep the healing that my body and spirit need and wake to a day of renewed health and vitality. Amen.
