The FBI have given an extensive exclusive to Fox News Digital highlighting that President Trump’s attempted assassin Thomas Crooks acted alone in his efforts to target Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
It appears this information, from Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino, specifically comes after Tucker Carlson ran a 30-minute segment pointing out inconsistencies in the FBI investigation.
(VIA FOX) – EXCLUSIVE: The FBI came to the conclusion that Butler, Pennsylvania, would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks acted alone — after a massive team doggedly pursued interviews with thousands of foreign and domestic individuals as part of an unprecedented global investigation into the 2024 shooting of President Donald Trump, the bureau told Fox News Digital as part of a lengthy, behind-the-curtain rundown of the probe.
FBI Director Kash Patel, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and a senior official with direct involvement in the Butler, Pennsylvania, investigation sat down for an unprecedented interview with Fox News Digital for more than an hour Thursday afternoon at FBI headquarters. Patel told Fox News Digital that the investigation was a “Day One priority” for the bureau.
“Dan and I have been on this since we got here eight months ago. We not only had to maintain the chain of command to President Trump, but we had to remind the world that President Trump was the victim — one of the four victims — on that day,” Patel said. “There are victims’ rights rules that apply to him, and they don’t get erased because he is the president.”
“We fully briefed the president, as a victim of this case, at the White House, providing him with all of the details of our investigation, and the president was satisfied with the results and where we left it,” he said.
[…] “We have reviewed this case over and over — looked into every nugget. We have spoken to the families, the president — there is no cover-up here,” Bongino told Fox News Digital. “There is no motive for it, there is no reason for it.” (read more)

The only one ever possessed by Satan faster than Judas is Patel and Bongino.
They’ve been working for the devil since they got in there.
If Bondi is playing the role of Barr (the Bondo), then someone has to be spray paint.
Even if Patel entered his role with the best intentions, he began with the presumption that the institution could be reformed from within. It can’t. Even if it could be, he is clearly not capable of doing so. Even if he was, he seems to be to more interested in flying to see his girlfriend than putting in the work.
Those data points are all force multipliers of failure.
Hasn’t Patel claimed that the stank and vile are honorable?
When he refuses to admit the extent of the problem, he can never reform it.
I don’t think Trump would support tearing down the institution that is our DOJ/FBI.
Reform it and it doesn’t need tearing down.
Keep it evil and it will have to go.
Pretending it is not evil just keeps it evil.
That’s the democrats
Disgusted beyond belief by Dan especially.
As JJ Carrell noted, Dan nuked his brand and there is no coming back from that.
I’m with Tucker. These 2 can get bent.
Unless facts emerge that prove the two FBI leaders were forced to withhold all these missing answers, it seems likely that neither Dan nor Kash will ever again be able to command as large a supportive podcast audience in the future as they had prior to being appointed to their present positions. This entire episode has so far been a frustratingly huge disappointment to the MAGA Deplorables who are PDJT’s primary and largest supporters.
It’s not just the lack of “justice” delivery. The focus has been too much on putting out fires most people don’t care much about, and making other countries get along with each other. I want that promised $7,000 combo DOGE-TARIFF “dividend” deposit to my bank account. That would further stimulate the economy and generate tremendous good vibes for MAGA-GOP-TRUMP into 2026. I’m sick of these selfish leaders finding $500,000 for each of them in just 3 days, or $60 Billion for Zelenskyy in 10 days, but tell us we can’t get an American Appreciation check because of deficits, or inflation, or bad timing bullshi’t!
While I agree with your frustration based on the other Congressional handouts to foreign entities and to themselves, $7,000 per each of roughly 150M taxpayers is about $1.1 Trillion dollars.
THAT obviously gives the Administration and certainly the budget hawks some pause in going forward…..
But I thought the amount of the tax relief President Trump has been recently discussing is about $2,000 per taxpayer, not $7,000. However I could have missed the other discussions.
Yes, dear friend…$2000.
Too much opposition against it.
(Hope you haven’t ordered that spiffy new motor car on the hopes of it 😎)
Howdy Betsy, hope your family is “holding their own” at present….
We have not ordered any “spiffy new motorcars” since 2014; that one was needed to replace a 2005 car that was given on short notice to a beloved family member suddenly in need. Other than that we have a 2002 motorcar that runs fine and is in great condition. No big purchases for us, both being retired and on a fixed income, we have found that careful driving, diligent upkeep, and routine mechanical maintenance over the long term is far less expensive than periodic total replacement.
Plus, the motorcars we now own are relatively free of tech gadgetry, internet comms, and other devious devices designed for potentially nefarious remote control that plague most new auto industry products.
Don’t need the $2,000 although we would definitely pass on any such windfall to more needful and deserving offspring… 😎
Same here…same age. No geegaws. And an analog clock!! 😍
In fact your lives mirror ours, GB. Fixed income, cutting our cloth to our circs, helping our families where we can. Not complaining. Grateful.
It does flabbergast me, however, to listen to Thune et al talk about how really they should be applying this putative windfall to the debt which is beyond unsustainable. Virtue signalling at its most false and preposterous…as it was they in this Congress and previous spendthrift ones which have gotten us into this unholy mess.
I truly believe they cannot hear themselves.
They lie for a living.
Agree, agree, agree…. We are singing from the same hymnal!
It’s funny because my husband does social media and he’s always seeing ads about getting $2000 right now. I keep telling him stop believing it. Just recently I heard Trump, during one of his WH briefings (Sundance posted here) say that he’d like to do $2000 sometime next year and that he had to send it to Congress. I never heard $7000 and I don’t bank on Congress helping the American people unless it’s right before the midterms!
You shouldn’t bank on it. None should.
I believe that while President Trump’s big heart is in the right place, for many reasons it has no chance of getting through Congress.
The problem with his mentioning it is that he has now gotten the hopes of millions for whom $2000 would be a lifesaver, fighting as we all are with prices of essentials which keep climbing. I fear when this proposal doesn’t even make it to second base, the Dems will make hay out of it, casting it as a Trump broken promise.
150 million taxpayers??? 😆😆😆
1/4 of the country probably makes too little to even qualify to pay taxes.
I found various sources that indicated between 143M and 160+M taxpayers in recent years.
From the Duck Duck Go search assistant (an OpenAI private feature of that search engine)-
Number of U.S. Taxpayers
Total Tax Returns Filed
*In 2022, approximately 164.997 million individual tax returns were processed by the IRS.
*In 2021, about 166.898 million individual tax returns were filed.
Taxpayer Demographics
*The IRS expects more than 168 million individual tax returns to be filed in 2023.
*About two-thirds of these returns typically show some taxable income.
So I rounded down to $150M to keep it conservative. If you still disagree, please post source(s) that support your assertion.
Him giving away $2k to everyone makes him no different than Biden. Pay down the debt like you ran on.
I disagree. I won’t second guess PDJT’s motives. He has certainly long-established himself as being unusual compassionate and individually (AND anonymously in several cases) generous to people in desperate financial situations. This $2K rebate is consistent with all 3 of his campaigns’ platforms to lower taxes and bring jobs and prosperity to hard working Americans.
I see it as his way of using this rebate as a way to prevent the spendthrift Congress from using it in any way to enrich themselves via kickbacks from money laundering agencies foundations, foreign countries etc. Paying down any portion of the already corruptly created national debt only helps Congress’ campaign messages but leaves the taxpaying citizens out in the cold during this difficult moment of economic struggling.
Exactly, sometimes you may better observe the forest from far away and once inside get caught up in small details that does not serve better forest health. Likewise with an agency that needs major overhaul. After one joins the team, you support the team and frequently make amends to keep the agency the way it has been. Unfortunately the FBI may not have new leadership to cause the agency to rehabilitate for the better…bill
They knew what they were signing up for.
Mayor Rudy, Mike Lindell, Dan, Kash, and a whole host of others… Do you see the trend yet???
Have we been had?
I wouldn’t go that far just yet. Much of President Trumps strategy involves awakening increasing numbers of the population to the hard and ugly realities of the longstanding corruption throughout government, the media, and the globalist businesses and quasi-governmental agencies that dictate too much policy and taxpayer dollars while avoiding all accountability for their actions and failures.
The president’s priorities appear to be fluid, depending on the actions of his and the nation’s enemies.
Thomas Crooks is dead. PDJT may think that further expenditures and use of valuable resources on that matter doesn’t yield an optimal return. OTOH, his team may be executing a careful but very low key plan to capture the people behind the plots to eliminate him. I’m old but very patient……
It does not explain why CNN was there. It does not explain why there was such lax and egregious security lapses by Secret Service and why people’s cries, “There is someone up there with a gun!” went unheeded. Moreover, it does not explain why Jill Biden and Kamala Harris pulled so many personnel from the secret Service to leave President Trump with the “D” team. What of the extracurricular vehicles, drones and phones? What of the firing range? What of the scrubbed home w/no silverware and such weird and secretive parents lawyering up immediately? Why the leaving of the body on the roof overnight? What of the hosing down of the roof by FBI? What were the autopsy results and drug screening? What of his mental health records?
If it’s all BS, why would Trump go along with it?
PDJT has a larger set of objectives and IMHO has delegated this to Kash, Bongino, Bondi et all while he focuses on geopolitical and national economic issues. They are not serving him well from what we can see and understand but my guess is that we do not know the entire picture so it’s hard to condemn PDJT for his apparent muted reactions to the investigation’s development and this statement of Crooks being a lone shooter.
If PDJT feels that his protection detail is optimum and he is as safe as he can be, then although I’m disappointed, my red-pilled inner voice tells me to move past this for now and support POTUS’ primary focus elsewhere for larger MAGA objectives.
I agree with you that President Trump is and needs to be focused elsewhere. And he probably has as much confidence as he can have in his security, with what he can’t control in the lap of the gods. But it’s probably a mistake for the rest of us to “move in.” With one caveat: involving foreign actors is probably a red herring, no matter who suggests it.
TY JoAnn.
I agree that foreign actors should not be involved in any domestic policy or actions. As far as foreign issues, I think any involvement of foreign reps is judged on a case by case basis.
Hey! Move along.
Nothing to see here!
Why did the two leave the room with the window open to look for Crooks? So many other unanswered questions.
What of those who were personally encouraging him on the internet.
Who were the crooks that Crooks was talking to on his cellphone, while sitting on the wall DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH the LEO who took his picture?
The FBI used cellphone and credit card activity to track down the J6 “insurrectionists” all across our country, for nearly 3-1/2 years, but this brilliant lone gunman was just too clever for the “greatest criminal investigation force” in the entire world.
Patel, see ya. Wouldn’t wanna be ya.
Yes, another dot connector!
Apparently they think we the people are really dumb and unable to think for ourselves. If they call this an “investigation” they are not qualified to be criminal investigators for any organization. We want a REAL investigation, you know like on TV when they examine many elements of the crime. Tucker did a better job than they did – how embarrassing.
Hey now!! No tilting at windmills allowed…by order of a DS desperate to shut this down.
Not just CNN present. Every MSM outlet was given the heads up to be at this relatively small rally in Butler.
And they were.
This alone for me gives lie to the grotesque attempt by Patel & Co to shove this tragedy (Corey Camperatore killed and two more severely injured as well as the attempted assassination of President Trump), right to the inner most depths of wherever all truths are entombed by an immoral government.
Yep Ms. Betsy, I’m not getting dazzled here by the FBI, I’m getting baffled with BS!
Several encrypted phones.
He may have done it.
But…
Likely MKUlta’d
He did not work alone.
And his appearance in a Blackrock ad. The internet is forever.
Kinda like the FBI was interested in Trump going down, no? Don’t lose sight of the FBI had fore knowledge of quite a few incidents, yet did zero to stop them! Boston bomber, Vegas, Pulse night club, Ruby Ridge, the list is long!
They didn’t just fail to stop them. Oh, and it turns out the Oklahoma City bombing should be listed as well.
Doesn’t explain the stock shorting, either. Several well connected people knew what was planned. Someone from the deep state groomed this guy and prepared him.
Patel and Bongino are lying on behalf of the UniParty Deep State.
I don’t care why they are lying or what motivated them to lie. I just care that they are liars.
Every day that goes by with President Trump allowing Bondi, Patel and Bongino to keep their jobs is a day that lies are rewarded.
Mr. President, please fire these liars forthwith.
Why would Trump go along with their conclusion?
Picking his fights. Not going along.
Because the Senate won’t confirm any patriots, only scumbag foot soldiers of the order. The military is the only way…
Trump 2028!
MAGA!!
💯
Either they are lying or they are woefully ignorant and being kept in the dark/being played.
I think they are being played. I think everyone under them and aside them is running rings around them and laughing the whole while.
Maybe Bongino, he never seemed particularly bright.
“Either they are lying or they are woefully ignorant and being kept in the dark/being played.”
Maybe Dan can get some night vision goggles from his old buddies over at the SS so he can better see what’s going on around him.
If they are really this dumb, we need to get rid of them immediately and get Inspector Closeau on the job.
Inspector Gadget would be an upgrade
Great post. Appoint rolling temps for the next 3 years, it’s better than what we have now- GET RID OF THESE 3 ASSHOLES!
But the truth will come out after fifty years.
Or sixty or so…
We have the same opinion, so my post is unnecessary.
I would add that when Bongo started his podcast, then radio show, I was amazed at his poor communication skills. I can’t listen to him. Nonlinear thinking does not necessarily refer to circles. He is so beholden to the professional rank and file, I don’t think he has any capacity to act against their interest, let alone call them out.
Instead of saying what I actually think, I will just express hope that he benefits greatly from the work of RFK jr.
Patel just seems to be there to Kash in.
Todd Blanche, who is running the DOJ (Pam Bimbo is a tv talking head), is targeting Ed Martin, who is the only MAGA person at DOJ, and will fire him in the next few weeks. This thing is going sideways very rapidly.
They do seem pretty worthless but Idk what they’re doing behind the scenes. Then there’s a matter of getting someone else confirmed, with the exception of Bongino.
Crooks acted alone, so did Hitler.
Who radicalized whatever pronoun he went by? Must be another coverup for national security.
O.J. did it.
The furries did it. Or the furbies….whatever they call themselves.

FBI:
Fraud
Betrayal
Infidelity
Excellent!
Stasi.
But…but….they were only following orders!
Something isn’t right, but there’s nothing we can do. Very VERY few officials have the guts of Tulsi Gabbard. Her type of personality is what you need running the DOJ and FBI. Unfortunately, the available inventory of high-level integrity and bravery replacements is slim to none.
Sure, Jan …
I guess they feel that issuing these pathetic conclusions and looking like fools is favorable to shocking the nation with the true magnitude of corruption and treason against a former president and presidential candidate. I notice the local police aren’t allowed to hose down a crime scene the next morning, cremate the body within 10 days or so, get caught lying in public about the victim’s on-line footprint, and refuse to answer questions over a year after such an infamous presidential assassination attempt.
>> “…after a massive team doggedly pursued interviews with thousands of foreign and domestic individuals as part of an unprecedented global investigation into the 2024 shooting of President Donald Trump…”
Oh, Really? I do not care how many thousands of people the FBI interviewed, nor how many pounds the FBI “final” report is. My hunch is that the FBI [deliberately] did not ask the right questions of a small – perhaps very small – group of people.
…especially after the FBI washed Crook’s presence off of social media, and his blood off of the slightly sloped roof.
And how many of Tucker’s questions has the FBI answered in a convincing and compelling manner.
“…after a massive team doggedly pursued interviews with thousands of foreign and domestic individuals as part of an unprecedented global
investigationcoverup into the 2024 shooting of President Donald Trump…”Any truth to the rumor that a major alphabet news agency, that never attends Trump rallies, had a cameraman in the front of the audience gathering closeup footage of the President when the shooting began? Poised for the “action shot”?
I heard that CNN had a policy of NOT covering Trump’s rallies, but that they were tipped off that something big was going to happen at the Butler rally so they covered it,
Did the FBI find out who tipped off CNN? Did they follow that thread? I very much doubt it.
Yes, I’m sure they “interviewed thousands of foreign and domestic individuals.” And when did they do these many thousands of interviews? They really expect us to believe this drivel?
It’s never too late to correct a mistake.
“FBI Reaches Conclusion Butler, PA Attempted Assassin Thomas Crooks Acted Alone”
In some circles this is known as a foregone conclusion.
So……..someday…….will you be able to tell us what really happened?
Inquiring minds want to know…………
So did Lee Harvey Oswald. Now we know that was a conspiracy and coverup.
Perhaps Justice Jackson will head a commission and get the truth out.
I guess it depends on what they mean by “acted alone”. I want them to explain the quick cremation and washing off the roof.
emphasis on “acted”…
they did
Release the interrogation transcripts and you’ll find lot’s of “what is your favorite ice cream” type questions.
Which of course are relevant to an attempted assassination.
‘……….lot’s of “what is your favorite ice cream” type questions.”
Which of course are relevant to
an attempted assassination. a first date.Information may take more lawsuits.
“Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for “hidden” records from former FBI Director James Comey’s era that were referenced during a Fox News interview with Deputy Director Dan Bongino (Judicial Watch v U.S. Department of Justice (No.1:25-cv-04047)).
We know Comey was spying on Donald Trump. He was the Obama administration’s go-to guy, trying to set Trump up to be toppled from the campaign and then from office. These hidden-room documents may contain additional smoking guns.
Judicial Watch sued in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia after the FBI failed to respond to a June 2, 2025, FOIA request for:
Not buying it..,
But then, the conclusion was pretty foregone, wasn’t it? At this point, the script fairly writes itself. It’s too bad for the establishment that many Americans are showing an increasing distaste for fiction.
J
I looked up the protocol for crime scene clean up where there is blood when questions arose during Charlie Kirk’s murder.
The info would apply here also.
Any crime scene that leaves blood or bodily fluids is considered a biohazard and health risk to the public. Quick clean up is the normal protocol.
The standard protocol is to do biohazard clean up as soon as the evidence has been collected and the crime scene has bern cleared by forensic investigators. It is usually cleaned up within 4-6 hours for a small blood/bodily fluid area and 12-24 hours for a large crime scene.
That begs the question as to how many “members of the public” would be climbing on that roof in Pennsylvania?
My first question as well.
Does this mean that Crooks and Epstein are in the same witness protection program now!? 🧐 not trying to cover anything up here! 🤷🏼♂️
I’m very tired of hearing about the FBI interviewing “thousands” of people, following “massive” numbers of leads, and “unprecedented” investigations.
Lately there’s been much discussion here about problems with large language models amplifying biases of “authoritative” sources. Federal agencies have the same problem. The size of an investigation is irrelevant when the investigation is operating in a garbage-in, garbage-out environment.
When Patel and Bongino express trust in the investigation, what they are actually expressing is trust in the work output of an institution. What they fail to understand, acknowledge, or address is that most of us no longer trust the investigation because it is the work of an institution we consider to be compromised and incapable of conducting an authentic investigation.
It doesn’t matter how many hours FBI agents logged, how many interviews they conducted, how many leads they followed, or how many words their reports contain. The amount of work is irrelevant to those of us who have no faith the quality of the work being performed.
Patel and Bongino accept the determination, because they believe in the institution. We do not. Therein lies the disconnect when they ask us to accept their word.
Beautifully written!
Yeah, I’ve reached a conclusion, too.
Ok so far it seems there’s some MKULTRA-like program going on with the trannies and other similarly as mentally ill aligned groups. And who’s controlling them? And why is everything swept under the rug?
Every time there’s a shooter on a roof the same questions come up.
How did the shooter get on the roof with his rifle and nobody stopped him?
Why would the FBI guys let anyone on any roof, at anytime at public gatherings?
that roof was outside the Secret Service’s so-called “security perimeter
which was drawn ridiculously close in, considering elevated shooting vantages like roofs just a short distance from the speaker’s podium
and that’s even without considering the fishy-looking exclusion zone in Sundance’s Pac-Man sketch
It was aka.”Inky, Blinky, & Clyde”- in the building/windows below.
Shots came from ground level. Explains the rising trajectory of shots fired.
Let’s exclude the most obvious sniper location from the security perimeter!
I will withhold judgment on this until I hear directly from Bongino.
LIES LIES
What about Crooks digital footprint?
They think we are stupid.
Someone should text Bongino and challenge him
That’s a mighty convenient conclusion for the assassination plotters, dontcha think
…?
Maybe someone can explain why, if what Patel is declaring doesn’t compute, President Trump himself would not be demanding more info and answers?
Yeah … but no.
IMO COMPLETE B.S. …
Where are his parents .. ??
Why was the house scrubbed ASAP … ??
Why was Crooks cremated 10 days after Butler … ??
Why was the rooftop “sniper lair” scrubbed ASAP … ???
Who was he on a cell phone with shortly before the shooting … and that’s in a picture … ??
And that’s just a short list …
I don’t think too many are buying the Lee Harvey Oswald theory anymore …
If they want us to believe he “acted” alone, at least be honest about who and what influenced him to act. He did not do it in a vacuum. Not believable no one else is culpable.
Uh-oh….
How did the FBI miss this….
Is Willy Tepes any relation to Vlad Tepes?
I’ve had similar confusion between Willy Deville and Mink Deville
Patel and Bongino continue to believe anything the Deep State operatives put on their desk. Because they know everyone in the Bureau are fine upstanding patriots and there is absolutely no corruption or political partisanship.
Corey Comperatore, and his family, deserve better than this insulting deep state hustle.
RIP, Corey. God bless you.
“Patel and Bongino” … “acted alone” … “yada yada” …
ooh … ooh … now do Seth Rich …
Every mainstream media news outlet never covered a Trump event EXCEPT this one , that alone tells me Kash and Bongino are truly incompetent .
He acted alone. Until the F-I-B chipped in and hosed the roof down, destroying evidence as the whole world watched.
But….He. Acted. Alone.
I am NOT buying what they are selling. Yet another load of BullSpit !!
I wish all the naysayers, bitchers and moaners on this site would put together a list of what they feel are unanswered questions and (1) post it here, and (2) request Patel and Bongino to address the questions in detail.
I agree with Bongino, people are looking for someone to blame. If Trump was dissatisfied he would fire them; he has never been reluctant to fire incompetent or unloyal people in the past.
Many Americans today believe they have been fed a constant stream of lies from their own government, echoed in the mainstream media, since 1963.
That is because they have.
I don’t believe them. They may actually believe this but I 100% do not. And never will!
Period.
Just coincidence he appeared in a BR video?
Why did they do this? And why NOW? This reeks of misdirection.
In what direction do they really, really, REALLY not want us looking?
“Kash, you go out there wearing this big red nose and this funny hat, and juggle these rubber chickens, while Dan chases you around squirting you with this seltzer bottle.”
Something’s up. You can smell it in the air.
Kash Patel being at the hockey game(s) waiting for Ovechkin to break Gretzkys scoring record raised some eyebrows..at least for me
I don’t begrudge any one taking a break/time off but being the FBI director and fanboy of a professional athelete is not a combination that works.. especially when the fundamentally rotten core of the FIB has been exposed so darkly
“News” like this frankly tells me that Trump has made peace with those who tried to kill him…
This Substack analysis was written 10 days after the assassination attempt. It is very detailed and worth reading as a refresher on what happened at Butler. He concludes one shooter but not a lone wolf.
https://arngrimr.substack.com/p/butler-shooter-and-shooting-review
Of course he acted alone. That was his training.
So let me get this straight, going forward, all past illegal activities perpetrated by Alphabet agencies are NOW deemed legally acceptable by Kash and Bongino
but from NOW On all the activities of the C.E.O. of the Alphabet agencies is illegal until fully litigated as legal.
So, the perpetrators of the illegal but NOW Legal activities will now litigate the illegal activities of their C.E.O. until they are deemed legal by the Supreme Court.
FANTASTIC WORK $$$$ and Baloney
I haven’t watched the Carlson video. However, I have absolutely no faith in anything that Bongino or Patel will say. They are not, personally doing the investigation into this matter, but relying on the information from other FBI investigators. Ths wouldn’t e the first time that other members of the FBI give Patel bad info, that makes him look poorly informed, or causes him to retract public statements. There is such political ‘sabotage’ going on in the FBI….and yet, Patel continues to insist that the majority of the FBI is honorable. I wonder if he’ll ever wake up to whats going on in his department.
