The scripture reference is from Habakkuk 3:17-18.
Habakkuk is a great read! The prophet was asking the Lord why he would use the ungodly chaldeans to chastise his holy people. The Lord showed Habakkuk that he has built justice into the system – every system. And that even the unjust will be tools to bring about God’s righteous ends and their injustice has a time limit. So even when we look out on the landscape and see things that dumbfound and appall us, God is working, no matter how bad the situation looks. Case in point – the insanity of the illegal Biden regime, with transgenders feted in the White House (and baring breasts on its lawns), and drag shows taking place on military bases, and abortion raised to the status of a religious rite, and wholesale impoverishment of the American people via runaway inflation, led to Trump’s revanche and the most pro-American president we’ve seen in decades.
God is not asleep, no matter what our circumstances might lead us to believe. He loves His children, He cares about us, and in all things He is working for our good. So LET IT RAIN! 🙂

I can hear all your critters here as well. It is pouring rain and I’m having to slog around between lightening storms to feed Blue in his shelter as his food will turn to mush if it gets soaked (it has molasses in it). Same thing would happen to his alfalfa pellets.
Beau is not thrilled about the rain either as my yard is more mud than grass (tree is right by the fence and the roots and shade aren’t great for growing grass), so he has to get cleaned up each time he comes in from being out.
The trees are a type of oak that looses it’s leaves in the spring instead of the fall. I think they are known as “Live Oak”, much smaller leaves and acorns.
All the cats are sleeping at the moment. A small break from the chaotic playing and attacking!

They do sense things. Beau the morning I had my stroke would not leave my side after I came in from my chores and playing ball with him. Normally he will go lay down. That day he laid his head on my thigh and whimpered and shortly after that I knew I was having a stroke. Called my son and he came immediately (5 mins) away and called the ambulance.
I think that is one of the reasons I had no lasting problems and walked out of rehab 7 days later.

Hi zoom. It was a pleasure to watch that horse perform. They are such beautiful and graceful during certain competitions. I especially like watching dressage.
Years ago I watched a dressage video of a beautiful grey mare known as Matinee. If you get a chance, look up her videos. She is magnificent to watch. She actually is enjoying dancing to the music!
To my horses, it was a game for them to keep the cows from going back into the herd. They loved it!
One day after moving into my smaller place I saw my mare, Queenie, at the gate just watching and bouncing on her two front hooves. I went out to see what she was watching. Several of my neighbors cows had come on to my property. It was like she was saying, open the gate and let me go play with these cows, please. She was something!

Laughed about the horse that finished aftet the rider fell off.
My cutting mare Queenie did not need a rider and she would cut anything that ran in front of her! We would just laugh and laugh at her. My grand sons would run in front of her and she would mirror their actions and would not let them get past her. Probably one of the greatest thrills of my life was riding her and my other mare Candy.

Queenie was born to cut! What a thrill it must have been to ride her as she worked. Horses are just so incredibly special.
Oh yes, I’ve no doubt about it. She loved it! Yes, every one of my horses was unique in their own way and very special. Loved every one of them and so miss them and the foals every Spring.

Biography: Henry Draper was an American physician and amateur astronomer who made key contributions to astrophotography in the late 19th century. He is best known for capturing early photographs of celestial objects like the Orion Nebula and the spectrum of Jupiter.
Draper came from a family with a strong scientific background, as his father John William Draper was a respected doctor and professor at NYU who took the first photograph of the moon in 1840.
Henry initially followed in his father’s footsteps, graduating from NYU School of Medicine in 1857 and working as a physician. Like his father, however, Draper had an interest in astronomy and increasingly turned towards this in the 1870s.
He ultimately resigned from his medical position at NYU in 1873 to focus on astrophotography, capturing groundbreaking images like the first photograph of the Orion Nebula in 1880 using an 11-inch telescope at his private observatory in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
Draper’s photographs provided valuable new insights into stars and nebulae, and his work was widely recognized by the scientific community. I just watched a Fox News video clip of 3 hefty ICE agents in a footrace to apprehend a 20-yr-old illegal immigrant who was eluding them on foot
The illegal simply threw it in a higher gear and motored away from the agents … the illegal went uncaptured
If the agents had bolos, they could have thrown them at the escapee’s ankles to bring him down
Training gun ranges could be equipped with a small bolo-throwing range off to the side to give the ICE agents the necessary throwing skill
Training specialists are likely available for import from Argentina, keyword search for “gaucho“.
Couple of H1-B visas for “unique or specialized skill” should take care of it.

“The psalmist expresses his affection to the ordinances of God. (1-7) His desire towards the God of the ordinances.” (8-12)
(1-7) “The ordinances of God are the believer’s solace in this evil world; in them he enjoys the presence of the living God: this causes him to regret his absence from them. They are to his soul as the nest to the bird.”

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Years ago our mule, Maude, was attacked by a mountain lion and sustained serious injuries to one of her legs. Of course, we were advised to “put her down.” But, fortunately, we were able, because of her cooperative nature to cast her leg ourselves and change it weekly. (A big thank you to our OR co-workers for donating materials). Thankfully, she made a complete recovery.
We consider our farrier to be among the most essential people in our lives and call him Uncle Ray!
