Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

“…everywhere…”
Beautiful. 🤝
Sometimes, the corrections interest me more than the message. Preachers recycling their messages, but fine tuning them and leaving the changes clear for all to see. Including the reasons for the change.
This one little correction set my mind roaming free. “to every creature” VS “in all creation”. They can mean the same thing, but they definitely have different uses.
Are you preaching to your cat, dog and goldfish? ‘every creature’. Or are you preaching at home? “in all creation”
Preaching to your sheep about the Good Shepard? Preaching to the lions about lying down with the sheep? Or just preaching in your fields and at the zoo?
Flights of fancy aside, are we even preaching? Unfortunately, my answer is not very often.
Thanks for the message. Now can I motivate myself to preach the Word more than I do?
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7-10

Gooood CATURDAY morning, Garrison and Tink 😘☕😽 Well, tis the new month of November after the fasted October I can ever remember…my beloved mother in law said to me once (after a long night rocking my first sleepless daughter) don’t wish the time away, and I know what she meant. So cats a-plenty this week, including a few leftover Halloweenies. Hope nobody minds, but they won’t keep till next year…
Waste not, want not… just in case you’re wondering what to do with those leftover 🎃s.
Cat-classic entry for Caturday!
Two is better than one 😸
Ha!

He’s judging, nim 😼
It’s a mystery 😼
Perfect fit!! 😻
Shut up and deal 😼
Roll on November, “Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness” 🍁
Well now….💕 I know that cup is going to taste extra special this morning, Patience…
And I thank you very much, dear sis 😌☕
(You too, I’ll bet…and very probably most of us here 🤗)
Good morning Betsy. Love all the caturday images. You really had quite a few this caturday. Love the ginger boi as he reminds me of one of the little ones I lost, same markings and color. The cat playing poker and the cat squished up in the box made me LOL. Love the look on the cat’s face and also the little cat with the soldiers.
Thank you for all the work you put into getting these images every week.
Also loved your cursday images.
I’ve still got four cats here. I’m wondering if I am destined to have Momma and her three daughters. Who knows. Cleo is currently sitting watching the bird feeders and a squirrel, and she is chirping away on a pillow on my desk here in the office and Maizie is behind my computer chirping away also at the birds and squirrel. Percy and Pumpkin are sitting, one on top of a chair and one on a throw on the sofa. The kittens are still “flying projectiles” every day at some point. Most of the time after they’ve been napping for awhile. I’m am getting quite used to them hovering around my ankles most mornings.
Hope you and your family have a blessed and wonderful weekend.
I’ve got to get back to grading quizzes.
Good morn, dear Pat. Life in a house is never a bad thing, is it… 💕 It’s what makes a house a home I’ve always thought. There is a difference. I love the names you’ve given to each one. And I can well believe you’ve adapted to their mischievous and unpredictable hijinks, as a servant must learn to do 😂 I never tire of hearing about them….
Thank you for your kind words. Don’t know how it came to be that I would post a library of my finds for both our CATURDAYs and CURSDAYs. But I do take enormous pleasure in my treasure hunts each week for just the right ones, hoping that they will give a smike, a laugh, perhaps an “awwww!!”, and as you mention for yourself, a loving memory or two. Some weeks are not as bountiful as I would like…
Still, somehow I manage to find enough to make our branches resonate with “meows” and “woofs”. It’s so worth the weekly trawls. Blessed be your weekend as well, girl. Hope you can get quickly through your grading so that you’ll have some “you time”. If you are allowed that luxury… 😘 😻
Good afternoon Betsy. I’ve finished my grading so now I may try to do some quilting, although I may have to lock myself up somewhere to accomplish that, due to the cat/kittens wanting to play with my hand and the thread and needle, as I try to quilt, (I hand quilt not machine quilt).
I greatly appreciate all your time and effort you put forth to provide us all with smiles, Awwwws, giggles, snorts and memories of past pets who have “owned” us.
Thank you , I plan to have a blessed weekend and I am always looking forward to church on Sunday for the praising and worshiping and preaching strictly from the King James Version of the Bible.
Hugs and love coming your way.
“born to keep the old ways alive.” I’ve been going through some old boxes that have been in a closet since my grandma died back in ’86 and came across her aprons I had saved. She had aprons for all occasions. Fancy aprons, Christmas aprons, summer aprons and her daily use aprons.
I kept out 2 of her daily use aprons and am using them. Such memories they bring back.
Good afternoon Patty. I’ve kept all my Grandmother and Mother’s aprons and I use them They also had aprons for Christmas. I use them during the holidays.
I have a few from my great grandmother that she made out of her old calico dresses. I use them for every day as that is what they were made for, daily use.
Also, thank you for the videos the other day about the little foal. I enjoyed them.
Have a wonderful and blessed weekend Patty.
And a good early evening to you, dear Bet. I trust your Halloween was enjoyable, although in saying this, I also know that many neighborhood nowadays have fewer trick-or-treaters . . .
Haloween in our old historic neighborhood is a decades long tradition. Whole families drive across town to walk our streets because they know they’re safe . . . and their kids can *really load up on candy*!
Spent our evening with my friends, handing out gobs of candy to the literal herds of little kinds little kids who were having a first-order blast collecting goodies! We were open for business from 6:30 ’till almost 10:00 when the last cars showed up.
Tink sends you her customary, gentle good
evening purr. She performed her usual ‘climb on the boss’s shoulder’ where she slept comfortably until we both got up in late morning. I then went to my local taqueria for my usual chicken fajita brunch. Doing this has allowed me to stabilize at 175-180lbs without difficulty. Life is good . . . at the moment . . . Be well, love.
Morning Garrison, thank you for providing a lovely musical greeting to start my day
😎 good 🎼 tuff !
Thanks, my man Garrison.

I always use the time reset as a reminder to change the batteries in those clocks around the house that use them… instead of waiting until the clock stops.
♥️
( i’m busy halloween’n ) 🦉
How much candy did you get???
hahahahaha ! good morning benzy ! i still wear one of these every now and then, just for fun .. silly i know ♥️
but it is fun ♥️
I don’t change anymore, except on the microwave and the stove. I simply subtract…😎🍁

Got to see Pat at a small jazz club in Philly, on South Street or nearby, amazing bebop player
Also George Benson at the same club about a year before his singing career took off, he was a straight-ahead blower like Pat at the time, right up there in ability but differing styles in phrasing and approach between the two.
Also saw McCoy Tyner (Coltrane’s pianist), Sun Ra and his Arkestra, and George Duke (electric jazz/funk with synths) in that same neighborhood, all around 1975-77
Pat had some kind of stroke or aneurysm that disabled him for most of a decade, lost all ability to play. He eventually recovered and re-learned his playing style and repertoire (which are both quite complex and unusual), basically from scratch, an incredible achievement
Those photos and the u-tube clip are from his 2nd, resurrected career of later years

I was going to IU when they went undefeated NCAA champs. One morning heading to class I walked by the old stadium and Bobby had them running the lines on the football field.
I went to every home game that year. Though I only had tickets for 1/3rd of the games I managed to find a girl who wasn’t going that gave me their ticket every time. A couple were great seats. One at floor level right behind one of the hoops!

Even tho this one has a way different embedded tag line that fits perfectly, it was posted under a little saltier one that fits as well.
Had to save that.
LOL, thank you for these two images. Still laughing at both of them. Have a wonderful weekend.

They wrongly call him a “Right Wing Extremist” in the UK, but they are as extremist as can be, their progressive Government and Establishment media. An Israeli Minister invited him for a couple of weeks in Israel and he did some really good journalistic job, he is Tommy Robinson. This is a really good interview that you will never see on Main Stream Media.
yep, Tommy’s a brave man
🥲🇮🇱❤️ Thank you, David.
Very worthwhile.
WOW what a brave and heroic Israeli Policeman!
🎶🇮🇱💪 Am Israel CHAI! 💪🇮🇱🎶
The “progressive Government and Establishment media”, good intentions aside, are just an “angel of light” controlled by Lucifer, who is the father of lies. Israel was used by Yahweh to bring destruction upon ancient civilizations that had become corrupt to the core. Those ancient nations were influenced by unseen beings who were in opposition to the Creator. Those same “influencers” are becoming more active in the West today. This is the cause of grave dangers facing us in the groundswell of immorality and antisemitism. Israel is temporarily at odds with God’s gospel, but remain His beloved people because of their covenant with Him, which is protected by the promises made to their ancestors. ROMANS 11:28 The Church needs to be taught the literal understanding of the Truth as taught in the eleventh chapter of Romans in the Holy Bible. Yes, eternal salvation can only be obtained by faith in Yeshua, or Jesus, who has established the New Covenant spoken of by the ancient Hebrew prophets and the Jewish New Testament Apostles. The Apostle Paul reveals the mystery of Israel’s “enmity” versus their “election”. Jesus Christ has torn down the wall of partition and He is coming back to earth again. You can take that to the bank.
Can AI do something like this?

From Lifeline to Hammock: How Food Stamps Became a Way of Life
I grew up poor in a family where food stamps were part of survival. My grandparents, with whom I often stayed, used them carefully and well. They bought real food: flour, eggs, milk, pork chops, coffee, lunchmeat, bread. Every now and then my brothers and I each got a chocolate bar, which cost a quarter back then but later went up to thirty cents. They bought a few Cokes in glass bottles as a treat, but mostly we drank ice water dipped from a styrofoam bucket with a tin ladle. Later, when they could afford it, they bought an Igloo water dispenser with a spigot, which felt almost luxurious.
Every morning my grandmother made biscuits from scratch, with gravy, eggs, and sausage or pork chops. They also received commodities: powdered milk that nobody liked to drink but that worked fine for baking, and those ten-pound blocks of government cheese that melted into the best macaroni you ever tasted. They used every bit of it wisely. Nothing went to waste.
Finish reading the article at PJ Media by clicking the above link 🙂
great article title
Interesting dogsma.
Durign the last 45 years of grocery shopping for my family of seven every week I have seen the gamut ot EBT shoppers.
From the fifteen year old kid buying a big bag of candy and a pop to the elderly lady who shopped the same time I did.
I saw this elderly woman shopping very carefully with her food stamps buying each week a whole chicken, two dozen eggs, flour, sugar, 5 pounds of potatos, two pound bag of pinto beans and some canned goods and juice.
Every week the same thing she and her husband ate, I am pretty sure she did a lot of cooking.
There was also a hispanic family that bought a huge bag of corn tortillas, several pounds of tomatoes, hamburger, one whole chicken, onions and peppers, milk, eggs , rice and several pounds of pinto beans, crisco and a few other things.
Once the little boy, about ten, brought a big package of cookies to the cart, Mom said no.
Every single thing she bought for her family was nutritious and simple.
Now we have utube videos of nasty, ignorant women saying they are goig to loot, steal and tear up the store if they do not get their free stuff.
Thank you Dogsmaw. I read the entire article. I suggest everyone take the time to read the whole article. It is worth the time.
This horse is smarter than you think.🐎#horse #horses #farm #animals #funnyhorse #funnypet #funny
having spent decades with horses, i thought i’d seen most everything.
wrong!😁
that second clip of the horse giving his bareback rider a leg up is the COOLEST trick i have ever witnessed so far!!
just astounding – though i suspect there’s a weight limit on it’s success. 😂
nice find, Nim!
I agree zoom. I had a horse ranch for 22 years and I’ve never seen that before. The only tricks my one horse I have left, my old breeding stallion, is if my boots get stuck in the mud in his pasture and I fall down on my knees, he will come over hang his head and let me put my arms around his neck and he will pull me up out of the mud.
Also, he likes red and white soft peppermints and when I rattle the plastic wrapper and ask him to lick his lips, he will lick his lips. I’ve had him since he was four and he is twenty-nine now.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
IKR? that was a new one on me!
your stud sounds like a sweetheart, what a good boy to bail mom out of the mud! 🐎 😊
29 is fantastic, hopefully many more.
you’ve obviously done a great job.
might i ask his breed?
Good evening Zoom. He is an American Quarter Horse. He has about 95% foundation breeding. He is only 14 hands and built like a “bulldog”. Broad chest, big, beautiful hind quarters, very stout and will go after a cow for the shear game of it! He is flea bit grey (blue flea bits in his grey coat), white mane and tail. If I can ever figure out how to post a photo of him, I will.
Thank you for asking and showing interest. I love him and I am grateful to God for gifting him to me and to be able to have him for this amount of time. He has earned his retirement. He produced some of the most beautiful foals you could ask for and his daughters were just as stout and smart as he is. His sons were beautiful but I gelded all of them and they tended to be a little lazy, but were smart as well.
I pray you have a wonderful weekend. I am heading out to feed my boy some alfalfa now.
outstanding!
i’m pic posting challenged too,
but if you master it, would very much enjoy seeing your outstanding sire emetitus.😁
good care of those in our charge is hard work, but the rewards are great in so many ways.
remember that as you’re chucking alfalfa at this hour!😂
and thank you too, Pat – nice to “correspond” with someone who has truly done the work.
if you can muster up a carrot, tell him it’s from me!
p.s.: apologies, but my knowledge of the AQH as a breed is limited –
is grey pretty rare? sounds beautiful!
Good Sunday morning zoom. I do not think grey is rare. Normally the rare colors are what they call blue roan, grulla (tawny with a black stripe down their spine, black mane and tail and black on the bottom portion of their legs) are the more rare colors. My stallion has the gene and did produce a few grullas and one blue roan. Most were grey and many were born with the black stripe down their spine and depending on the mare’s coat color, had either blue flea bits or red flea bits on their coat by the time they were four and most lost their black stripe.
Most American Quarter Horses have a good temperment (unless ill-bred to begin with), and are easy to train. Normally most are very smooth to ride, not bouncy or bumpy when trotting. Blue, my stallion is the smoothest ride I’ve ever had on a horse, and fortunately, so were most of his foals that I kept and rode.
No need to apologize. If you get a chance to, read up on them. They have a fascinating history.
Blue never cared for carrots or apples but I did give him a mint last night and told him it was from you. Smiling. Thank you for responding as I enjoy tlking with the CTH “treepers”, and especially ones who show interest in horses.
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday. I’ve got to get ready for church.
Blessings to you.
thanks!
have seen the dorsal stripe on duns,
have only rarely seen a grulla, tho i like that coat color a lot.
will read up as coat color genetics and links to heritable diseases can be an issue in some breeds.
sounds like you have been meticulous in researching his breedings, genetic traits, performance characteristics, progeny, et al. ensuring a valuable contribution to his breed.
(and have a feeling you are deservedly renowned in the AQH world.😁)
wonderful job, and best regards to you both.
p.s.: mints are often a fav of Thoroughbreds coming off the track.
the European warmbloods don’t seem to have ever seen them.😂
eek, that should read “emeritis”.

Some surprising candy results tonight. Hershey’s bar is very popular. Skittles blew everyone away. Snickers is so far behind, they’re guaranteed dead last. Butterfinger lagging. Starburst lagging. But the real stunner: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Not even sniffing the lead.
