We own a small Fencing company. have many people who are terrific. They’ve been here for years, pay taxes and contribute to our economy. These guys are not U.S. citizens, but all have green cards. I have many customers in similar businesses (Landscapers, etc.) and all are paranoid about ICE, While I get it that we want SUBs to be U.S. citizens, right now, even Green Card people are at risk for deportation. In our area ICE is aggressivey pulling over our trucks and checking these guys’ credentiials. People are afraid to work, what do we do?

My mother lost her father at 16. Her mother (my grandmother) was blind. She had to quite school and go to work with the phone Company. You had to depend on family not the govt.
My dad’s father walked out on his wife and three children, in the middle of the Depression, because providing for a family was cutting into his poker budget. My dad was the eldest and he was six! My grandmother got a job in a local bookstore, which she ended up managing for over a decade, while her mother and sister helped raise the kids. The states administer the programs. For SNAP they were paying 50% of the cost, the rest reimbursed but now it’s going to 75% state-paid. I don’t know to what extent USDA audits what the states do.

No benefits at all for illegal alien invaders. Instead, use that money to cover item 2.No taxes on income or property for any citizen over age 70.
There are people over 70 who truly need help. That is why Social Security and Medicaid were invented decades ago. The key is to not only stop fraudulent claims, but to punish the frauds themselves. Not only the penny-ante ghetto rats, but the wealthy business owners who use benefits programs to subsidize their low wages and lack of company benefits. THOSE assholes need to be reined-in. Poor business practices should NEVER be subsidized by government programs!
I always say that we should as *individuals*, *familes* and *churches* help the needy and the poor. The government, when it attempts to do this, fails miserably.
