That thread got “cluttered” with too many posts about All Things Trump and America 1st, so they started this one. My post below about Prop 50 in CA belongs on this thread because if CA is forced to (s)elect 52 Soros-backed Congressmen, Trump will be impeached on Day 1 of the new congressional session.

Just listened, sounds like basically what Secretary Bessent announced several days ago that: Xi had agreed to increased soy bean purchases, crack down on fentanyl precursors, 1 yr pause on rare earth restrictions, President Trump agreed to 10% reduction of the 20% tariff that he imposed bc of fentanyl, he’s going to allow Jensen Huang of Nividia to sell some versions of Nividia chips but not the Blackwell which is the latest version, overall tariffs will remain at about 47% on all Chinese imports.
In addition they did not discuss Taiwan at all. They discussed Ukraine extensively and Xi committed to help President Trump end that war. President Trump did say he did not ask Xi to stop buying Russian oil. When asked about why he tweeted abt. instructing Dept of War to begin testing nuclear weapons right before the meeting he said that was not intended for Xi but for other parties (obviously Russia and maybe North Korea). He said others have been testing so he thought we should be testing our nuclear weapons as well. He sounds pleased with the outcome of the Xi meeting and reiterated how successful the overall trip had been and the tremendous commitments from Japan and South Korea to invest in The United States.
Now it’s time to get home and concentrate on solving our domestic issues. Yay!

The best way through this is to define viewpoints, not people, because people will shift as they change position and velocity in Trump gravity.

Trump is Jupiter moving through the asteroid belt. He is going to pull people into his orbit.
A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 284 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

Jefferson was the driving force behind the language of the Declaration and much of the philosophical underpinnings of the constitution. Jefferson least trusted central government, which Adams believed in.
While he did have sympathy toward a monarchial rule for the presidency for limited terms and toyed with a “highness” title, I don’t believe his leanings were toward a king when he told George III that he represented an independent people and country four years before the Constitution was ratified. If you say that he was not the driving force for the writing of the Declaration, I agree to the extent that he did not write it, but he proposed the writer be Jefferson because of the self quotes I mentioned.
If Adams as you say was in strong favor of a strong central government, he certainly championed a peculiar attitude against it, and that executive branch leader be powerful and independent. Isn’t that what has been eroded over time and is badly needed from our current president in the best interest of this country?
He fought with Jefferson over a decentralized, people led government almost all of his life. Jefferson is still right and we keep getting it wrong every time we get away from our representative republic approach. Adams was a founding father and opposed the king, but not because he hated the governance structure.
Jefferson is right, no preceding discussion mentioned otherwise. Adams, however, could have railed against decentralized government, and he did not. If anything, he allowed himself to think through his conversations with Jefferson that other ways of governance could work despite his fears that it could lead to mob rule (Chicago, Portland, Minneapolis, et al) and lived long enough to see it through three other presidents after Jefferson including one who came from his loins.
A monarchy fears being overthrown of its power. Our president is trying to accomplish a presidency rule of taking back what he believes is the power of the presidency. Only the uniformed would call him a king. Adams never opposed checks and balances, certainly not a monarchial governance structure trait, otherwise the Massachusetts Constitution would not have been written the way it was. (How far off into another galaxy is the “fair” Commonwealth? Light years.)

“Part of what we’re going to have to do is to start experimenting with new forms of journalism and how we use social media in ways that reaffirm facts and separate facts from opinion. We want diversity of opinion. We don’t want diversity of facts. That, I think, is one of the big tasks of social media. By the way, it will require some government regulatory constraints…” Obama said.
He added that this should be done in a way “that’s consistent” with the First Amendment, while paradoxically arguing that platforms should crack down on speech “in the sense of inciting violence,” something already not protected under the First Amendment.
