It’s one thing to understand that Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was DEI nomination to the Supreme Court, and another thing entirely to listen to her own words as she proves it.

Callais’, a case before the high court considering whether Louisiana’s congressional map (which includes two majority-black districts), where plaintiffs in the case argue the congressional map is unconstitutionally gerrymandered based on race; Justice KBJ compares black people to disabled people. The comparison for the argument she is trying to make is ridiculous. Listen:

This isn’t funny. To many, this most definitely is. I remember long ago when people made the argument that requiring criminal background checks is racist, I was amazed and amused thinking “this isn’t going to go very well for those people” and assumed such collossal stupidity was going to set the kind of precedent such that no one would be able to make such claims in the future.

ADA was about public access building standards; if you operate a public access building there is a duty to accommodate to a standard that reasonably facilitates entry to all who come. ADA withdrew a right to exclude a particular class of Americans only for the purpose of construction cost savings resulting from an abandoned implied duty to accomodate all Americans who might wish to enjoy access to a public access building. This really has nothing whatsoever to do racial discrimination.
I think the more problematic issue may be the entire premise of victorian racialism. How many drops of what blood makes one what color? Is there simply a Hitlerian one drop rule? What to do with Mocha People who are not pure black, if indeed such a thing as skin color operates as a non-ordinary rather than an ordinary and mostly unremarkable normal variation in Homo Sapiens sapiens. These are important questions if we are to accept the science that there is only Homo Sapiens sapiens with its many ordinary variations. There is no other species; no Homo Sapiens hindi, no Homo Sapiens honkie, no Homo Sapiens chingchong, etc.

My husband was in high school when a federal judge ordered Oklahoma City schools be desegregated. In order to accomplish this some black students were bussed out of their neighborhood schools and placed in schools that had been deemed too white. The reverse was also ordered, white students bussed to schools deemed too black. For the first semester it was so chaotic no attempt was made to distribute textbooks. . A white student was knifed in the hallway and almost died. Once a premium public high school, it spiraled down into mediocrity. Parents of both races who could afford it moved out of the court-mandated bussing areas and into the expanding suburbs. The city public schools have never recovered. The moral of this story is people will self-segregate based on level of affluence, not necessarily race.

One of my hobbies is reading the transcripts of SCOTUS oral arguments, and in every transcript since she’s been on the court, she has the loudest mouth – but she is completely in the dark about the relevant arguments at issue. She simply doesn’t understand what is going on.
She latches onto the arguments of the other justices, and repeats their points, so she’s an expert in faking it. But she’s obviously lost. Just read the transcripts and it’s obvious.
Every single case is way over her head. She is simply incompetent as a lawyer – and forget about being a judge.

Does Justice Jackson really believe that people of her race are all handicapped; if so, what a very sad world she must be living in while at the same time achieving a seat on the highest judicial bench of the land.
I kind of feel sorry for her, proclaiming “her people” are incapable of successfully deciding for themselves whom to vote for because they are “handicapped” – is that her version of “too stupid to think for themselves”.
