“Time” magazine had to put Trump on the cover, no way to avoid it. So they used a photo shot from under, that is almost unrecognizable as being Trump. Really. No one would like a photo of themselves that was so unflattering.

On at least two occasions between very early Monday (PDT) and later in the day, I saw one photographer who evidently was given access to him on the red carpet after Trump reached the bottom of the plane’s stairs.
Each time that same photog was on his knees as Potus approached and then stopped to talk to someone. It’s very possible that was the Times photog who took the pic.
I, too, thought it was an attempt to show his strength.

I agree with you. I read a lot of symbolism in that photo. Trump looking upward to heaven as in Psalms 121 –
”1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
Then there is the ”halo effect” of the light streaming down onto his head which might symbolize that he is blessed by God as God’s messenger to bring peace to the world.
The shot from beneath his head might also symbolize that he is ”mighty among men”; that he towers above them in his great strength of purpose as the ”Peace President”
It shows the right side of his profile, and the ear that received the assassin’s bullet. That might symbolize that although he is scathed by his battle to right the wrong done to the nation, his tenacity to endure is unlimited.
The fact that his eyes are looking upwards and staring off into the distance surely can symbolize the vision that he has for the nation and for the world – one in which peace, love, and harmony blend together as one to save humanity from themselves.
President Trump should not feel too disappointed as many Americans will view this as the ”perfect” image of a man who will make the ultimate sacrifice of himself to make a difference for each and every one of us.

Hamas only returned four bodies yesterday. Until the remaining dead are returned, Israel will not open the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, and will restrict humanitarian aid.

President Trump has said he remembers the sermons of Norman Vincent Peale, who was minister at Marble Collegiate Church in Manhattan during Trump’s childhood. Votes have been happening in the Senate. That includes passing the NDAA on the 9th. The funding for the NDAA is wrapped up in the budget bill and stopgap CR that did not pass.
