Amid all of this derision and division, a few people have asked for perspective. So here it is – my review in brutally drilled down simplicity.
Back in ’23/’24, the plan of Billionaire Larry Ellison and Elon Musk (w/collaboration, ie. K Griffin, R Bigelow etc.), was to divide the MAGA base through the promotion of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The Alligator Emoji base (evangelical conservatives) was the wedge.
They failed.
MAGA remained cohesive behind Donald J Trump. Ron DeSantis eventually quit the race, Ellison and Musk changed camps, Silicon Valley came along, and the rest is 2024 electoral history.
The point to remember is the key strategy was to divide the MAGA base.
Fast forward to 2025. Larry Ellison, David Ellison, Bill Ackman, Elon Musk, Rupert Murdoch, et al, are looking toward the political future and reverting back to their original objective – divide the MAGA base.
The wedge is the same, only the subject matter of emotional emphasis is Israel.
Look at the names. The wedge divide is identical.
In essence, MAGA is being played by billionaire games with the intent to politically divide in advance of the 2026 midterms. It also appears to be working swimmingly.
I’m pretty sure President Trump knew exactly what Ellison and crew were all about in 2024.

First off, Rubio is not a natural born citizen; so, he can never legally serve as president or vice president. And, if Vance IS teaming up with Rubio for the purpose of running for president, that is just one more reason to consider HIM as non-presidential material.

There are certainly differences in opinion within the MAGA contingent over Israel (and Ukraine), but it still seems to me that the MAGA faithful remain united behind the “America First” domestic agenda. I just don’t see the differences on specific foreign policy positions being all that effective as a political wedge. MAGA is much more focused on the return of blessed sanity here at home.

Someone had told the Thessalonican church the persecution their were suffering was actually the “day of the Lord”, a period when the Lord sends judgement onto the earth. The day of the Lord is not the rapture, but a very specific time when God judges the earth, as was prophesied in numerous OT texts. The Thessalonians were shaken because they were told they would be spared from the wrath of God.

Why was there no immediate full on military response?

Desantis will be an afterthought by the time the midterms pass. Marco and Vance will bury him. Disagreements destroy the Left. They split families, they create lifelong enemies – they lead the unhinged to catastrophic acts of violence. On the Right, it doesn’t have to be so and usually is not. We tend to be more grounded – the adults in the room.

The people mentioned, with the possible exception of Musk, are all pro-Israel. There is a division over Israel, but it has nothing to do with MAGA as such. Instead there has been a collapse of support for Israel across the political spectrum. The split or division is across age grounds … older people, especially older Republicans, remain largely supportive of Israel. Though even among them support has decreased. But among younger voters, including younger Republicans, support for Israel has declined dramatically.
The Democrats have managed for many years to be “the Jewish party” while also drawing the support of most of the anti-Jewish and anti-Israel voters. So perhaps the GOP can pull off the same trick. But this is a very real divide and it is “organic” in nature.

I’ve got a different take on this. With peace hopefully lasting in the Middle East at least for some years ahead, there will much less focus on Israel. It will become a nonissue, no matter what the elites think they can conjure up to divide MAGA.
The focus of attention going forward is going to be on China, and to a lesser extent on Russia/Ukraine. That is just the reality.
Seeing the mug of Karl Rove in that conglomeration, it occurs to me that it was never intended that Ron De Santis would actually win 2024 – he would be the Republican candidate, not President Trump – but De Santis would lose, giving more time for the next Bush phase which would be George Prescott Bush who SHOULD have been in the rotation by 2028, after serving as Texas AG and then Texas Governor. That would be cutting it pretty close, though they might have made it if Ken Paxton hadn’t gotten in the way of things.
So maybe they think 2032, that actually George P. would be taking on that patrician patina by then. Here’s the thing, the Bush camp seems oblivious to the damage done to our country during each Democratic Interregnum and each time a Bush comes up in the rotation, we as a country are undergoing damaging change with each time we have had a Democratic President since Bush #41 lost in 1992.
Clinton, Obama, Biden. The Democrats get blamed, rightfully so, for many things – meanwhile, it was under Republican President George W. Bush that 9/11 happened and then the Patriot Act and the FISA 702. Oh, going back further to Reagan, of course, you had his Amnesty for illegal aliens.
IMHO Ron De Santis may possibly be pushed again but it will not be with the intent that he will be elected but as a stall until Karl Rove and the Bush camp have George P. ready.
Karl Rove and his fellow Republicans of his ilk seem to think this can go on endlessly, interspersing Democratic Presidencies with Bushes and the country will still be here.

I guess I am still at a loss of understanding who is causing the wedge and what the “wedge” is…is the “wedge” Isreal and supporting or not supporting them? The causing of the wedge, is that the same people we saw with alligators who were pushing Haley and DeSantis? And are they trying to get us to support or not support Isreal? I do know that the younger generation has become very anti Israeli government.. I know campus and younger kids aren’t like the older generation who 100% support our dollars being sent. Major events are on his plate for 2025 – 2026 that will completely upend the players and structure of the political world around the MAGA / America First movement, aka the “we the people”.
President Trump’s actions will increase the width and depth of the MAGA / America First movement at the state level while bringing their three branches (Executive, Legislative, Judicial) of the federal government back into Constitutional compliance, insuring the survival of our Constitutional Republic for the next century.
The globalist / communist / elite forces of yore (both domestic and international), will see their power and influence significantly reduced.
Their “wedge” of 2025 will be as useful as France’s Maginot Line of the 1930s.
Begin by understanding President Trump’s reshaping of the 2025 battlefield ….. to understand what the battlefield will look like in America’s future for the next century …… hint, it will be known as the golden century of “we the people”, not the “globalist / communist / elite forces of yore (both domestic and international).”
President Trump has been very open as to his goals for his administration to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, using AMERIC FIRST policies in both domestic and foreign arenas. Second guess him if you must, but don’t say you haven’t been warned. He ain’t no “lame-duck”.

Definitely not a fan of any of the big tech guys and ushering AI transhumanism in. As a mid 50s year old not raised in organized religious environments after my grandfather left the Catholic Church long before I was born… I leave myself open to all possibilities regarding Israel & all religions for that matter. I believe discernment on religion, wars & all things NWO right now is of importance. The overall MAGA base is way more diverse than most realize with as many blue collar democrats, nonpartisan, non-religious & female supporters as the traditional republican conservative religious supporters. Netanyahu can be a dark leader of everyday good people of Israel as we were as Americans under Biden, Obama, Clinton, Bush etc. Ultimately it’s about personal sovereignty, freedom, respecting others and pure good/loving intentions.
