One of the most common phrases in the Bible is “Fear Not!” When we face trials and tribulations, we must show faith, lift our voices to God, and be open to His guidance through the Holy Spirit – and fear not.
Totally true, sometimes very hard to do. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Agree completely – at times it can be exceptionally hard to do, but even for the hardest situations it CAN be done.
Here’s an example. It’s a story from a Christian group who does work in communist/marxist nations. The story is about a lady who succeeded. May we all be as successful in whatever our situations and challenging times are.
When VOM workers met Sister Tong in China, she had recently been released from prison after serving six months for hosting an unregistered house church meeting in her home. When they asked her to talk about her time in prison, they expected to hear about hardship, discomfort and suffering. Her response surprised them.
“Oh yes!” Sister Tong replied with a glowing smile. “That was a wonderful time.”
The VOM workers quickly looked at the translator, thinking there must have been some confusion in translating the question. After all, they had asked her about a Chinese prison cell, not a vacation spot or revival meeting.
But there was no translation error. Sister Tong had understood the question, and she’d answered it honestly. She thought prison was a wonderful time … because God had ministered to her heart while there, offering her comfort and peace even in the midst of suffering. She had also found opportunities to share the gospel with other women in her cell, and several of them came to faith in Christ.
Being away from her family and church was difficult. But for this Chinese Christian, the presence of Christ and the opportunity to minister in his name made even a Communist prison a wonderful experience. Instead of seeing hardship when she was sent to prison, Sister Tong saw opportunities to witness and a chance to experience the closeness of God’s presence.
We can’t always control our circumstances in life. Because we live in a fallen world, bad things will happen to us. But even in difficult circumstances, we can be assured of God’s presence. And we can minister to those around us.
In difficult times, seek God’s face through prayer and reading his Word. And ask him to open doors that will enable you to share his love with someone else, just as Sister Tong did in prison.
Harrison, I’ve been avoiding CTH lately but wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the advice you’ve offered in the past. It took some work on my part but my brother and I have resolved our differences.

According to a July 2025 South China Morning Post article, “Beijing increasingly leverages its dominance in the global rare earth supply chain – particularly during recent trade negotiations with the Trump administration.”
The same report notes that “The critical minerals became a powerful bargaining chip for China to push back against Washington’s tech restrictions,” highlighting how control of these resources provides asymmetric advantages in broader negotiations.
This leverage was most recently demonstrated in the London agreement of June 2025, which “laid the groundwork for both sides to ease curbs.” This agreement highlights how rare earth access has become intertwined with broader technology and trade discussions.

So we will all have to get used to having the same cell phone, home appliances and electronics for a few years until other countries and domestic territories can produce their own rare earth sources.
And it will mean a new strategic alliance between all nations who wish to be free of the Chicom sources.
Next is to remove any and all real estate holdings by Chicom corporations here and around the world.
We don’t even have the patents on the technology needed to recover rare-earth elements. China has all the patents, the technology and the equipment. Rare-earth elements are a byproduct of heavy industrial mining for iron-ore. You’re looking at ten years to even begin to make a dent in Chinese exports.
They will have no exports if nobody buys their junk…and your time line is very far off from reality btw and the US and Australia both produce more than enough ore, which up until now had been shipped to China for processing. That will now stop.

I am wondering about the impact of ‘soy meal’ which is fed to our American livestock, I think its mixed in the grain they eat…we don’t hear much about that, if anything. This video is sort of an advertisement for his farm but the farmer brings up some good points.
This farmer has concerns about GMO soy in cattle feed…and glysophate used in soy bean fields…he reports 93% of our ‘beans’ are GMO. He mentions ‘toxifying the soil”….it lingers per his info, for up to ten years. I wonder if the accumulations do not have an impact on autism….(Big AG is not better than Big Pharma and probably with holding data?).

My understanding is the soybean and other crops are genetically modified to withstand glyphosate and other poisons while the weeds are killed out thereby increasing production while limiting cost of tillage for weed control.
Does that actually change the soybean? I don’t know, but the poison is the issue not the modification as far as I am concerned.

Round Up / glyphosate is a type of salt that dissolves soft plant cell walls; it does nothing to animal cells. So if you can modify your plant to not react to the salt, it will only kill the weeds.
The issue was workers were instructed to cover themselves from the fine dust that comes from loading the pesticide into the hoppers. Companies who hire illegal workers aren’t known for following laws or safety practices if it costs them money. The workers are now developing cancers for mishandling the concentrated powders.

Had a discussion with a local rancher recently related to this. He goes to great lengths to ensure his pastures are organic and devoid of herbicides and pesticides. He doesn’t vaccinate his animals. Then he turns around and finishes them “non-GMO” grain to increase fat content.
Asked him if he knew where his grain came from and whether or not his source was as clean as his pastures to prevent from putting all his efforts down the drain. The silence was deafening. Tried to talk him into doing grass finish – he wouldn’t hear of it because, “It tastes like grass then.” Sigh…

I think Trump should say, “the US will now reduce its NATO support % to the median of the EU nation support levels. When you choose to meet your promised levels, so will we” and we redirect excess funding back to our domestic issues like food security.
Sitting on the patio this morning, just thinking about all things, which is my norm.
I think this China rare mineral issue and trade aggression is because of Maduro and Venezuela gangs. President Trump has made it clear that he has no qualms about pursuing the drug cartels inside Venezuela and Maduro has been indicted by the U.S.
Maduro has joined, or aspiring to join, the BRICS organization, thereby creating a safe haven from accountability. After all, dictators should stick together. Pretty much like the NATO alliance.
I have no idea where things go from here. I think China bit off more than it can chew. . It has pushed the U.S. to expedite its own mining of rare minerals. The U.S. has every type of terrain that you can imagine and is vast.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Not necessarily, but China is very much involved with the cartels and Venezuela is rich in oil and mineral reserves.
If we take out the cartels, China’s main buyer of the base product for fentanyl and other type drugs, they stand to lose a great deal of money which will impact their economy. Also Venezuela’s potential as a provider of much needed energy supplies is a factor. Giving China a favored nation deal for protection against the U.S.
Of course, China is taking advantage of the Schumer Shutdown. Some of us are aware of the latest reveals of the CCP influence with a few of Congressional and Senate members. I have to wonder if that is part of the impetus for the Dems to keep the shutdown going with unreasonable demands. Money, Money, Money.
Just ruminating, but make no doubt, China sees us as very weakened at the moment and are taking their best shot at economic warfare. They just picked a fight with the wrong guy, President Trump.
