The very definition of Martial Law is where the military replaces civilian authority and constitutional protections are suspended.

When is the price of food going to come down?
Trump seems to be completely unaware that food prices continue to go up which is extremely unfortunate .
Wished SD would break this down for US again as to the metrics behind food prices not dropping much at this juncture of the administration.
There seems to be a lot of anxiety and shock going on in the system behind pricing right now. Drill, drill, drill is taking place, Energy secretary is opening the flood gates on new nuclear power technology, tariffs are still a wonder to many, a surge in purchases made before the tariffs kicked in, etc etc. Throw in the ICE and deportation crisis and you have a full plate metrics wise.
Again maybe SD can reload an economics and pricing class for us when he has the time?? 😎

In our area one of the reasons prices continue to rise is the massive increase theft from grocery stores.
Not just flagrant shoplifting, but internal theft too.
There is “ big money” in that box of expensive cheese that somehow disappears from the delivery truck, and into the back room of a grocery store.
Hey I am only half joking, but , many of us eat way too much, and by packaged and “ ready made food stuffs” none of which is particularly good for one’s health.
A sack of potatoes, a 10lbs of rice, a bag of onions, carrots etc goes a long way.
Dried lentils, peas etc are inexpensive
A whole chicken or two, and a few spices.
Bake a couple of loaves of bread and “away we go.”

Finally hearing someone else feels the same way! My gas prices haven’t come down here in Pittsburgh either. $3.59 a gallon! But groceries are outrageous.
Where I shop in the Peoples’ Republic of Washington . . . eggs are $2.99 and prices have been easing.
But the smart Electorate just voted last summer for 70 cents a Gallon Karbon Tax . . . how clueless is that?
