From the moment your daughter is taught to read and write – you, her family, her teachers, peers and all of society tell her she must keep a diary of everything she thinks, does, believes and ponders.
You tell your daughter this dairy, along with her checkbook and banking ledger, must be kept in your family safe, and only you know the combination.
You promise her that despite the rule that you retain custody, you will never look at her diary or check register, and it will always be private, just hers – only hers.
Every day she writes the details of the day, as do all her friends and everyone else in society. It is normal and no one thinks much about it. Each day you put the diary back into the safe until she needs it again.
Many years of journaling and record keeping later, she finishes college, begins a job and starts to have an expanded social life. She falls in love.
Her boyfriend is considering a marriage proposal and asks you -her record custodian- for her diary so he can ensure to love her correctly, focus on her deepest concerns and desires and establish the trust in their bond.
You let him read the journal.
Your daughter finds out and feels deeply betrayed. The promise was “forever privacy” without compromise.
Now, everything has changed.
The relationship between you and your daughter is damaged. The relationship between your daughter and her boyfriend is damaged; she never wants to see him again.
Everything changed.
In an attempt to heal the damage, you tell your daughter the sincerity of motive behind the broken promise and the reason why – for her forever happiness.
Painfully, with a life of destroyed safety reflecting in her eyes, she looks at you and says, “but trust lost can never be reestablished.”
You propose new rules.
The next fiancé can only look at certain pages. He will have to ask for specific dates for review, and only the information from those dates will be reviewed. There will be restrictions on what the next boyfriend will be permitted to see.
You remind her, she cannot stop using the diary.
This is your life under FISA(702)!

Great analogy!
It’s very touching and emotional.
It would be more accurate to point out “if you refuse to write your diary, they will ultimately kill you.”
This us commonly answered with “oh well… we can fix this…” but SHOULD be answered with “STOP BREAKING THE LAW A$$HOLE!!”
“If you refuse to write in your diary you will be grounded without supper until you comply.”
Winston found there was one small area of his flat that was not surveilled, but he didn’t stay there long in case ‘they’ found it.
Was this girl’s name Alexa or Siri?
Amazing eye opening to those that don’t know the extent others have into your diary.
I will not comply.
You already comply. They know you posted this.
Yep. “You just did.” was going to be my reply. Be seeing you!
How has a case not gotten to the Supreme Court yet? Or has it already? If so, then I’m guessing we lack standing as merely being the exact people the constitution is protecting….derp
They know EVERYTHING about you… Everything you write on your computer, or on your cellphone is recorded… Every keystroke made on your computer or phone is recorded…
You and 44 others obviously don’t know how to avoid tracking.
😎
Had a uncle who worked for 3M in the 60″s on the set setup of the internet. Originally for the military. He told me then to treat everything I do on it as it would be like broadcasting it on the JumboTron in Times Square.
Under current conditions I don’t think we really have much of a choice, do we?
Too late.
Gee…..I didn’t know so many cared…….LOL!
Fortunately this world is only a little while our real hope is after this life going to be with our creator is the beginning of eternity. And they are generally only interested in those who have something they want Jesus told his to turn the other cheek the only thing they can take is my life freeing me to be with Christ. Yesssss I understand they can inflict pain My trust is above them. This terrifies them.
I agree, Articman. Running from shadows is not the answer.
Check out FUTO keyboard. Not sure if it’s android and apple or just android. One might consider what happens to all the keystrokes on “default” cellphone “keyboards.” 😐
I just figure all these privacy technology options are like putting a flashing red light on you and your data and is probably making you pay for your data to go directly to the top of the line for surveillance consumption because after all, if you want privacy you clearly something to hide, no?
Seems pretty simple, doesn’t it?
And she who is supposed to safeguard your privacy ( in effect the “ father” ) is going to allow a new boyfriend new and repeated access to your deepest , most private thoughts and possessions because your Dad is more concerned than ever for your safety and really is doing it for your own good because he knows better even against your adamant disapproval and protestations!
Gee, THANKS ALOT,DADDY BONDI!
🙄
Wow!
The little nuggets I pick up here daily are priceless.
Cheers!
This is a big nugget for many people…
How’s Canada these days Dekester?
“But trust can never be reestablished”. And they don’t give a damn. Get in the cattle car and shut up.
Exactly. They don’t want your trust. They want everything you are and what you own and what you think. They could not care at all if you like them or if they lie or if you believe them.
Power and money rule the most ambitious and unethical ones at the top. Never forget that. You are the one they use to make their lives what they want them to be. Monetarily wealthy, in control and always wanting more. You are the tools and are not considered anything human at all. They will eliminate you when they think you hold nothing more to give them. Communism to the core.
This is the evil we fight everyday and the evil hides itself in many ways. To reveal them is to contain and maybe stop them for awhile, but it’s a never ending battle and they win when the majority of their ‘tools’ aka the people, don’t understand and are too uneducated and brainwashed to know any better so they don’t fight back. The bad guys win when that happens.
Be aware. Be vigilant. Be curious. Be educated. Educate your children. Ask questions. Be brave. Never stop fighting evil. Love God, your family and your country.
“Invasion of the Body Snatchers” . . . I only saw the original, filmed in Sierra Madre, California . . .
thinking about that again, the pods just need your identity!
When that moving/storage company with the portable storage unit that you park in your driveway and fill up at your own pace came out with the name “POD” painted on it, I thought that was a bad marketing idea but apparently it did not bother anyone else.
That’s where this analogy is broken. “The father” isn’t human. It’s GOVERNMENT and fully unaccountable as a machine. The machine’s operators need to be strung up for what they are doing.
Excellent analogy. Who can’t understand this???
the half of our voting age citizens that stay glued to CNN, MSNBC, NPR, et al, will never understand it because they don’t have enough intelligence to figger out that CNN, MSNBC, etc. are lying to them…
My dementia husband loved the TV. Now that he has passed the TV is gone. Sure I enjoyed nature stuff and cooking ideas on YouTube but overall I find TV extremely irritating. It’s not acceptable background noise. You think you are tuning out those commercials but your unconscious is being swayed by them. Ever wonder how an idea got in your head? Probably from the junk you thought you tuned out. Just my take on it.
Thank you, Sundance.
I love that females in the audience appreciates this analogy. But as a man, I have a hard time with the rest of it… like “why did father kill my brothers and sisters?”
And now Daddy will change the safe’s combination
(“necessary tool”)to ensure safety of the diary but gives combo repeatedly to new potential paramours that he is vetting closely so not to worry , dontchaknow…
….wait’ll you find out Daddy is a serial rapist?
I would suggest making your life a dialogue with God, not yourself. It’s the only way out of the dilemma and has eternal benefits that aren’t dependent on the present cosmos.
Touche’!
Excellent Sundance .. Thank You
Everyone can relate.
Well done SD.
I do my best to supply as much BS as possible.
There needs to be a digital Bill of Rights to stave off these psychos. Flip the tables on them, and ensure that data can only be purchased from the individuals themselves (if business wants it) — with the money going to the individuals bank account. The big crime here is that personal data is a valuable resource without so many individuals knowing it as one.
Remember the old days of checkout and they might ask for a zip code or a phone number and you could say no? Same principle here.
There is a digital bill of rights. It’s called the Bill of Rights and was created back around late 1700’s. We don’t need to create anything else.
But I understand your sentiment.
We already have a bill of rights.
Intentionally impoverishing people solves that for the bigs.
The proverbial barn door has already been left open and the horses have taken off. “They” already know everything there is to know about all of us. Yes, that’s as wrong as wrong can be but it’s where we are. Not sure how that can be undone.
This is an outstanding example of what we are all facing. Thank you , Sundance. I really appreciate your ability to break it down into easy-to-digest form.
Bookmarked for sharing. 🙏❤️
Live your best life every day
comey read just about every pertinent diary in DC , and he did’nt just share it with boyfriends, he shared it with family, friends, and cohorts, and when the diary’s did’nt say what he wanted them to say, he added whatever he wanted to, he wanted to be the diary daddy, to uphold his brand of justice, to go boldly where star trek would’nt take him, yes, he went to plaid, all the way down any rabbit hole he could dig, the ultimate editor in chief, pin the tail on the elephants, the content creator from hell, and when he was found out about, he doubled down writing words and symbols of defiance in the sand , he might get a free pass because some of his friends are still in place to continue reading diary’s and tearing out pages as they seem fit to. and as i look from the outside in, at the very least, we all know he’s a certified diary pervert.
Prepare your children:
‘The Preparation.’ – Rethinking Education, Building Competence, and Guiding Young Men to Self-Sufficiency”
Designed as an alternative to traditional education paths, the book aims to transform young men into well-rounded, competent individuals capable of shaping the world around them.

The public school system was never implemented to educate to begin with, and cannot be configured to do so. Until people wake to that fact, that forced schooling is unethical, and it seen for what is; social engineering for political purposes, manipulating the minds of children, en mass, for the benefit of whoever the residing controlling authoritarians are.
It is a failed concept to even believe that public education is of any benefit whatsoever to the growth of the individual. It can only accomplish one thing, produce a fixed mindset in the individual and deter intellectualism, en mass and individually. The only cure to the failed and twisted idea, is to abandon the unconstitutional failed concept of a public school system.
https://fee.org/articles/the-history-and-results-of-our-disastrous-public-school-system-part-i/
You have go back to the roots of where the concept of public schooling came from to begin with, to see how and where the concept was derived from, and what it is actually used for to see the problem. Has nothing to do with education, everything to do with attempting to remove the rights and freedom of the individual. That’s what it was initially designed to do and is it’s only function. Control over the masses.
https://www.toptenz.net/10-ways-people-use-psychology-to-trick-the-masses.php
How is cognitive dissonance resolved?
Dissonance can be reduced in one of three ways: a) changing existing beliefs, b) adding new beliefs, or c) reducing the importance of the beliefs.
The other thing that could and should be done, that makes to much sense, is eliminating the minimum wage and age requirements for when people are allowed to go to work. What is the purpose?.
Makes no sense at all to begin with, can only be viewed as a political tactic, and as a deterrent from letting people at a young age begin to join the work force. I’m more than certain that it’s tied into forced schooling and the public education system requirements.
Speaking from personal experience from in my youth.
I’m sure that the vast majority of youth if given the opportunity would be rather be out working and earning a wage, gaining real life education, knowledge wisdom and experience, that they can actually use in real life, and that would further their growth and future prospects, than being stuck in a brainwashing factory to be dumbed down for the benefit of a politicians political agenda.
Except for 1 boyfriend, its 10,000 of them per Matt Gaetz …
This reminds me that the government we have now is EXACTLY what our founders feared would happen: a federal government more powerful than the American people, with technological prowess and ability to spy on anyone or everyone, 24/7. This was their nightmare, so they made a plan for enumerated powers. Then they added the Bill of Rights. They felt they had done all they could to protect the people from an all powerful government.
I have tried to finish a course on the Constitution at Hillsdale College (online) but every time I get to the Progressive Era I get so upset that I cannot finish the course. The progressives did everything they could, thinking they were doing the right thing, to make the federal government into a Leviathan that had more power every day, more regulations and books of regulations than can fit on any shelf, more unelected unaccountable bureaucrats who “legislate” through rules, and finally a deep state and intel community that is a shadow government controlling the US and all her people.
Now Congressmen are outraged about having been spied upon, but with all their outrage and righteous indignation will they do what is needed to stop the spying? I doubt it. Because as Sundance says, what is needed is to get rid of FISA which is a quasi legal workaround for the 4th Amendment.
Whenever it comes up for renewal, anyone who doesn’t want to renew it is “spoken to” by someone or some group until they realize they really have to vote to continue it. This happened with the current speaker. He was given a talking to, and emerged from those talks convinced that the “defense of the United States” depends upon FISA. And this is what Pam Bondi said as well, in her testimony in answer to Senator Hirono.
They are outraged but they won’t fix anything. At least that is based upon what we have seen so far.
If President Trump fixes this, I will be very grateful. But I am not invested in that outcome because we have not seen any politician who has decided to take the side of ALL Americans on this issue. Not one.
Even if they got rid of FISA would that stop this sort of activity? The ne’er-do-wells seem to be able to flaunt the law with impunity.
Our Constitution gives us the tools to fix this problem, but it doesn’t give us the balls we need to use those tools.
Maybe they can keep FISA in the manner it was intended and pass a regulation added to it that protects American citizens forever from this being applied for use on them. It’s really already in the 4th Amendment so it shouldn’t have to be made a law again but maybe adding it onto the FISA law would seal up the loopholes. Maybe is the key word.
This will never be fixed as long as we can communicate electronically. There will always be those in power who will monitor us and nothing will change that until the second coming of Christ.
Outstanding.
Don’t forget the manufacturer of the safe has the combination as well.
And yet people blindly accept EUAs (end user agreements) for their cell phone apps and websites without a clue of the personal information they are allowing to be collected by big tech.
#nogoogle
Because: no shirt, no shoes, no service.
Yup. First they got people to buy into the concept, then when everybody became hooked on their apparatus, they demanded that we sign our lives away with the latest update.
The thing I like most about this analogy is that it was horrible through out.
It was always for abusive control. For manipulations.
And the new rules don’t stop the abuses.
But you left out the fact that you never were going to honor those promises. You were reading her diary from day 1.
Powerful , but understated. The father and fiancé infer well intentions. The dairy is also a small subset of what was thought at teh time. What 702 enables is ill intended spying and manipulation of information that digs deeper than what you know of yourself. Things as trivial as how well you type, each keystroke, the pacing, or the fact you frequently transpose the “e” and “h” when typing the word THE.
Without much help, insights to individuals can in turn be shaped to affect behavior and thinking. We certainly see this now with advertisements based upon searches or interests. Orwell’s 1984 is here today and every bit as dark.
Suspect that the manipulation goes beyond what you’re describing and that we see the results of that process almost daily in the hopes of getting us to squeal in unison against the rights enumerated in the Constitution.
And we thought the subliminal ad pix in the movies were bad.
There is no person on earth strong enough to destroy the NSA database (i.e., daily-updated digital copies of every diary of every American — each one of which was stolen from us without our consent and without a warrant).
So what are we going to do about it? If we do nothing, and because now we know the government is stealing our daily diary entries, is that tantamount to consent?
Do you really need to carry your surveillance monitor with you everywhere you go? (your phone?)
Do you really need social media to enjoy your life?
Do you really need millions of dollars to survive?
Humanity has been sucked into irrelevance. Sorry to see it go.
Do you really need to carry your surveillance monitor with you everywhere you go? (your phone?)
Do you really need social media to enjoy your life?
Do you really need millions of dollars to survive?
No, no, and definitely no.
Should we be posting here? Are we putting a big bullseye on our backs?
i’m afraaaaaaaaaaaid
Yeah, I know it sounds ridiculous, but isn’t that what we’re talking about here?
Just reading triggers the bullseye?
“ It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could give you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself – anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. In any case, to wear an improper expression on your face (to look incredulous when a victory was announced, for example) was itself a punishable offence.”
– George Orwell, 1984
We all used to joke 15-20 years ago “It’s a cautionary tale not an instruction manual.”
Yet, here we are.
Thank for this very understandable explanation!
A good analogy is, in my opinion, the most valuable asset to be had in a discussion. Good on you, Sundance. This is a most excellent analogy.
I think this perfectly portrays the squeamishness of the situation!
It gets very much worse as you go along but the initial pretext gives warning of how it will go.
Demoralization is in retreat
I lied about everything I wrote in my diary. So there.
IIRC, that worked for Monica.
…but secretly you keep reading her diary and even monetize it by selling information from it and posting parts on social media, then deny it was you.
The writing of the 4th is so clear and unambiguous that even a poorly educated gen Z can understand it.
Our founders were articulate and smart and fearful.
I have never b4 quibbled with Sundance.
However, I strongly believe that individual privacy from government is a “serious security issue” versus emotional as framed here.
A government that can intrude upon my privacy cannot be held accountable … despite 1st & 2nd amendment protection.
Counterpoint;
From the moment your daughter is taught to read and write, you, her family, her teachers, peers, and all of society encourage her to keep a diary of her thoughts. You explain that this diary, along with her financial records, will be stored in the family safe for safekeeping, and you hold the combination as the guardian. You assure her it’s private, but with one caveat: In cases of serious danger you might need to glance at specific entries to protect everyone.
She agrees, understanding that absolute isolation could leave her vulnerable. Every day, she journals, an you secure it each time, honoring the privacy promise unless an emergency arises.
Years later, after college and starting her career, she expands her social circle and falls in love.
Unbeknownst to her, her boyfriend has been associating with an Islamic radical, perhaps involved in plotting harm to the neighborhood or even the family home. Acting on credible warnings you carefully review only the relevant pages of her diary that mention interactions with him or his circle.
This review uncovers evidence that he’s been manipulating her for access to family resources, potentially endangering her safety and the household’s well-being. You intervene discreetly, sharing just enough with authorities to avert the threat without exposing her private thoughts.
Your daughter learns of the targeted check. She initially feels upset about the intrusion but upon seeing the evidence and how it protected her and preserved the family’s security she recognizes the balance: Privacy isn’t absolute when lives are at stake.
The relationship ends, but she and the household emerge safer and wiser, because the safeguards worked.
Sounds like you are in favor of the 702.
I keep thinking of this.
James Madison: “If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary “
Acting on credible warnings you go to a judge and get a warrant to spy on the boyfriend.
I also blame psychiatrist for the diary concept. Cannot accept that arena as a scientific field. And don’t get me started on all those labels for those that require them to “help” their “patients”.
Yep.
Only a Dad with a daughter can understand the depth of this analogy.
.
I get it Guy.
I’m a daughter and a mom with a daughter. I don’t think I would have opened the diary for him as it was telling that he asked me to.
My dad never had time to worry with silly diaries from daughters. He already knew us like two different books. I loved him and miss him every day.
Wonderful metaphor/analogy.
Simply put that trust can NEVER be regained. And rightfully so. The innocence of youth can not be regained.
My mom and grandma never suggested or encouraged the diary. but in 9th grade, the English teacher did…”journaling” and of course, mom knew about it and read it.
My grandmother gave me some wise words after that…never put in writing, something you don’t want others to see or know.
These politicians want more and more control (or just knowledge) over us and its time we “Just Say No”.
Maxine Watters spilled the beans years ago on this current system.
I see a bad moon rising.
At first, I thought this was going to refer to the “diary” the powers that be had of someone’s daughter. Most people still think I wear a tin foil hat, even some friends. I tried to tell them because I care about them, only to be told to worry about myself.
Watched OMG stream with OKeefe talking to Flynn and Okeefe showed the FISA used on himself and his reporters tptb used when they came after him. Only one page with everything redacted except for one sentence.
So now they noy only renew this every year and AI is here 4 ever.
I have a hard time with all this, but I suppose everything we have learned here is better to know than not know.
The EU desperately wants to create its own NSA-type database. To protect the children, dont-cha-know.
Chilling.

DEEP STATE WATCH 👁️
hmm 🤔…Even though you never made a donation or had any connection to TPUSA, have you received an email or text message from TPUSA or Erika Kirk follow the assassination of Charlie Kirk soliciting money?
Chat I’ve been seeing, many claim they have and say the text messages/emails started hitting 2 days after TPUSA’s huge memorial event. Even people who didn’t attend the memorial are saying have been geo-fenced but they don’t know how but they’ve been hit with the emails too–One from OK said he was hit up on 9/12/25!
Now why did the “new” CEO who replaced Charlie be geotagging Gen-Zers via the app his company created which is listed as a foreign “for profit” company and then sell everything they data mined to (cough cough) Israel?
Remember what I posted recently about BiBi’s speech to that group of U.S. influencers on X and TikTok and his need to “control the narrative” on those platforms? Now we’re finding out how he’ll be accomplishing that.
Another interesting “dot” in this connection — Erika’s mother is on the board of directors.
Is everyone grifting? How much money are they raking in? Is this why Charlie wanted to start his own DOGE to audit TPUSA’s books?
So glad I destroyed my cellphone 11 years ago and don’t have to concerned with this chit! I also wiped every single app from my laptop when I bought it and every time there’s an auto update, I scour my data to see if any apps were included and zap them.
Hang on! They used Charlie Kirk’s FUNERAL to digitally track 277,000 Americans? | Redacted News
As we barrel head long into a permanent surveillance state in the United States… Something disturbing has come to light surrounding the Charlie Kirk memorial. Days before that event, Israel reportedly signed a four million dollar contract with a California firm called Show Faith by Works.

Revelation 21:1 KJV
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.”
That verse seems out of context to Sundance’s post. However, consider working backwards from that one-day future time, a future as sure as you and I sit here now and work backwards through the scriptures to this point in time we now sit.
As sure as the new heaven and the new earth will one day be, all the scripture you work through backwards is just as sure. It all will occur.
Here we all sit. We are living in the most amazing times, experiencing it all.
Now, look backward from today to any point in the historical past of your choosing and continue looking backward through the scriptures as well.
You will note the scriptures paint a future, just as the past, that is unchangeable.
I’m at the point now the only fight I have left in me is to hold onto Jesus and encourage others to do so as well.
1 John 2:15-17 KJV
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Thank you
God bless you. Without faith in Jesus we are lost in this world, but with Him our future is assured.
Excellent analogy.
