Well Humberto got blasted by the powerful trough coming off the east coast and is now just a remnant.
But Imelda hangs on. She didn’t get caught up in the trough but is fighting sheer and dry air. She doesn’t have eye but she’s a hurricane packing 100 mph winds and Bermuda is likely to take either a direct hit or a very close passage of the center of the storm off it’s north shore late tonight. She’s only moving at 22 mph.

Understanding that my comment is both late in the day and low down on the list of comments, I still want to pose a question after coming across this sentence in an article about the government shutdown.
Here is the sentence;
The Democrat Party and (Senator Rand) Paul decided to put the welfare of illegal aliens, surgeries for transgender minors, and more garbage ahead of keeping the government running.
My Question;
Why on God’s Green do we as Conservatives not roast Senator Rand Paul (1)(Cato the Younger) for his continued opposition of the agenda of Donaldus Magnus?
1) Personal Footnote:
While listening to the audiobook; Plutarch Parallel Lives of Noble Greeks and Romans, in the chapter on Julius Caesar, more than once when it was covering something Julius Caesar was trying to get the Roman Senate to agree to something he was planning I heard; But Cato was against it. Every time I heard that I thought about Donaldus Magnus trying to get the United States Senate to agree to something only to be blocked by Senator Rand Paul.
But Rand Paul was against it.

Why in the thunder do we not try to hold Cato responsible for lack of support for the agenda of Donaldus Magnus?
Rand Paul is formally a Libertarian, as in Libertarian party member that normally aligns with Republicans in the same manner that Bernie Sanders is an Independent that normally aligns with Democrats, so neither are technically, nor legally members of either the Republican or Democrat political parties.
The real question is – what the heck is going on in Kentucky and their voters that continue to send the likes of McConnell, Rand Paul and Massie, none of which align with making America great again.
