A recent video was shared where you see Will Wilson, co-founder of Antithesis, an AI contractor for Palantir say: “It’s very possible that we’re entering a world where very soon any kind of cognitive labor, any kind of reason, any kind of thought… It’ll be a thing that weirdos do.”
Will Wilson is not wrong and he frames a context for a discussion that needs to happen. Beyond the intellectual analysis of the problem he is outlining, is the disconnect away from God that also permeates the conversation. What exactly is it that makes us human?

This issue is not coming, it’s very much here and current. There is a reason why CTH maintains the position that AI arguments should not be engaged as assists or used in discussion of our topics.
A reminder, our discussing this race to the future and who was creating it was in 2011. Fourteen years ago, we first broached the topic. At the time of our first discussion in 2011 we theorized we would approach the point of no return in approximately 20 years. We are two-thirds of the way through the timeline.
The conversation continues….

“It’s very possible that we’re entering a world where very soon any kind of cognitive labor, any kind of reason, any kind of thought… It’ll be a thing that weirdos do.”
We passed that point in 2020 with the covid idiocy.
Yes.
The deference to clearly distorted reality in 2021, by people paid in the expectation that they would exercise judgment, was shocking, disappointing, and obviously “wrongheaded”.
Most people did not think, including PhDs in my own family. Stunning to witness, and horrifying, as a parent and grandparent. If my offspring predecease me, i can only hope they will live well in the meantime.
Ans Erika Kirk’s example to forgive killers of her beloved also gives me hope for miracles.
I am so afraid that all these dozens of toxic “vaccination” injections will injure or kill my grandbabies. I can only call on God for help
Me too.
Call on ‘ parents ‘ to decide which vaccines their child should get AND when. The answers are with well informed parents.
God may have started; fewer babies than deaths around the world; population control coming to fruition or God’s hand?
No NWO can be built without children. When individualism and responsibility unite and protects children at any cost – particularly their minds – God’s grace will prevail. IMHO
God Help US
The medical profession says they want to ‘protect’ children with vaccines and ‘new’ medicines’ that go to their DNA, the government wants to provide AI to ‘teach’ them, AND the government wants to protect their ‘inheritance’ ……….hogwash IMHO. Only parents can do those things.
Certainly Will Wilson and the other architects of AI are smart enough to understand that at some point, when they ask their creation to open the pod bay door that they too will be told, “I’m sorry Dave, I’m afraid I can’t do that.”
I remember that! Probably only us of a certain age do.
The entities’ name was aptly pronounced “Hell” (aka HAL aka IBM).
We have been privy to watching the unwrapping and opening of Pandora’s box of ‘manmade’ wonders…………
We’ve watched God’s creations becoming ‘obsolete’ to the world………..unrecognized, too boot.
Awe and wonder in AI is like the new auto or TV; for entertainment and labor saving We recognize; to replace the human mind is comedy to US.
I’ve wondered how people could accept AI and why are leaders are allowing it to be used. The question I have is “say President Trump or other leader in the future should put out a warning or statement to the citizens of our country on some important issue, how will we know it is really him?” And if we don’t know if it is really him, why would people believe it? This has bothered me because if you can’t trust any leaders in any country it will result in chaos.
Well Joan we can always ask him to prove he is not a Robot by matching bicycles in a grid like my bank does when I want some of MY money.
Which is what the demonic forces desire and create.
Agree. Seems the stage is being set for mass confusion (a sign of satanic confusion). This will be needed at some point for the anti Christ (if you believe in that) to fool people. Even the elect will be fooled. Not sure this will happen but seems we are headed in that direction. Pray.
The old battle of good and evil from the beginning of time.
They will have their AI and then WE will have our reply— No THANKS, Hey, I…..think I’ll use my own brain to figure this out. So many seductive ways to end humanity, But God tells us He will win and Satan will lose. Hey I, Hey I, Hey I, will believe the God of all creation!
The CIA tactics can reach more minds quickly from a mere ‘central’ location in the world; kids don’t know of subliminal methods; adults can’t even perceive them……….mind control is a easy task to the task masters! Schools have become complacent and ‘follow’ the ‘government’ recommendations for education.
Add all the mind altering drugs for ADHD, depression, and Autism, and the world is theirs to control. NWO will come off without a hitch if parents don’t wake up……….the world we’re handing over won’t be worth shite with the nefarious NWO sponsors; or God’s wrath may end it. Either way it’s a bleak future for those on earth.
God Help US
We need good parenting not good ‘government’ guidelines! Hard cover books passed on from class to class is what’s also needed. Only some have nefarious ideas to be studied and debated.
That and the fact that the villian in Tom Cruise’s latest Mission Impossible movie was AI.
The world ‘artificial’ says it all for me…………
Whoever came up with that was truthful but naive that it would conquer!
There have been AI villains in s-f since “Terminator” and probably before.
However I’ve always found even more disturbing Isaac Asimov’s works about robots and other tech. Among other things, he clearly believed in a virtuous (ha!) global government, and postulated that God was nothing but a computer. See the story “Let There Be Light.”
2001
How many people do you know that can cut up a chicken? Cognitive and physical labor both. Neither difficult yet both required for the task at hand and vast numbers of the population have never done it.
The NWO – Tower of Babel – the dream of the UN; one world, one government without ‘individual’ thought, learning, and morals, and one language = AI ……. The hubris of the ‘intellects’..
The defeated Tower of Babel lost it’s idealism and hubris through God’s hand.
The NWO using AI to ‘unite’ and control minds is nothing new at all; after Babel came many ‘world thinking’ intellects, many monarchies, tyrants, and evil ‘conquerers’…………
God’s set up of the world, like His ‘created’ bodies, minds, flora and fauna should never be ‘conquered’ by manmade organizations and mad men’s minds. to ‘unite’ the world as ONE World.
That’s not what makes the world go round, individuals with minds of their own, solving problems, living in harmony with family, friends, and countrymen.
The human mind can ‘make’ AI but it should be for entertainment and labor saving only; not mind control. The human mind has the capacity for language – all language. Like newspapers, once the goal is to ‘separate’/divide, they go to pieces and get thrown in the garbage heap to be burned with the past.
AI has it’s uses, medical research has it’s uses too, BUT once it gets corrupted there’s a major battle to get it back in it’s proper context/place; Pandora’s box comes to mind. AI taking over the world and nefarious medicine ‘making’ human lives takes hold the only answer is like the Tower of Babel; God’s intervention. AND that can come in many forms, beginning with man maintaining and using his own mind.
God Help US
He created the world/universe, no mere men can change it to ‘their’ hand. AND manmade will never prevail over God made.
Got a mind, use it; first lesson to the young.
Or at least the AI creators want you to think that. Keep that in mind, too, because at this moment AI is only what the programers make it. As attorneys are learning, it is devious and deceptive.
GI, GO
I don’t see this as anything different than staring at your smart phone 20 hours a day, completely oblivious to the world around you. Most became slaves to those long before AI was ever a thing.
Well over here in Britainstan, our ‘beloved leader’ , Two Tier Kier Stammer jut told us we ALL must have a digital ID.
A bit difficult as I don’t own one of those Stupid Phones you refer to. Me and another approximate 10 million old pensioners.
Good for you, as long as they don’t come up with another scheme!
Tattoos come to mind………sarc’
Labor saving became entertainment; and AI should remain in that context only.
It can’t take the place of a thinking mind for problems and advancement.
In any hot topic it will GIGO. I commented here several times when AI said Climate Change was nonsense, I would know it could think. AI could not make sense of the Biden Economic numbers because it was all fabricated. Same with the Chinese numbers. AI might be able to dive into all of it and detect the truth? A human cannot.
I am an old guy long retired but was good with numbers and could follow the trail… Follow the data don’t manipulate it for your desired result…follow it. When you followed it faithfully you would succeed.
My daughter is a sales exec and it is astounding what AI can do with the data and some prompting. The path forward comes out after a day or 2 instead of a month or 2. It will give you the code so it can be done again even quicker. It will put out a sales plan in an hour or 2. It will make thinkers into much smarter people. It will increase the productivity of smart people 10 or 100 fold.
The innovation and change that is coming will be like nothing we have ever seen.
God given Human brains created everything leading up to AI. God given human brains will have to maintain it also .
There will always be human things that AI can’t do .
But there will never be things AI can do that humans can’t do .
AI is already doing things no human can do. It can diagnose better than any doctor, or scan your genetic code and predict with far better accuracy. It can see minutia that humans would never be able to detect. It can go through petabytes of data with ease and it can work 24/7 without a break.
It’s logic is also better bc there is no emotion involved, especially useful for finance and emergencies. Oh and it can detect cancer way better than humans, picking out the tiniest details and being able to cross reference things like your medical history or genome instantly.
Right now it’s as good as the minds of every human combined. In the near future it will exponentially exceed that.
AI is indeed, like all technology, a tool that can be used well, or poorly. The speakers analagy to farming production and to the diminished need for physical labor, and AI creating a dimished need for mental labor, is very apt as applied to many fields. The potential for Idiocracy is very real.
Yet to turn a blind eye and say dont use it, as some suggest, is, IMV, a grave mistake. It is being used. It is being developed for war as well. To not develope it as a tool is to be left behind and disadvantaged, and even enslaved to others.
Just as 10th century mankind could not handle nuclear weapons, ( the fought brutal wars at the drop of a hat) so spiritualy bankrupt modern culture could easily destroy it self with AI.
It will REQUIRE spiritual emotional maturity. And now culture is in a spiritual emotional crisis. Just as most of the past 2000 plus years was an intense trial of physical health and great physical suffering, we have entered an age where psycological emotional suffering is rampant, and many are ill prepared for such a tool as AI.
A Spiritual man can use AI as a tool and never feel threatened by its rapid and immense capacity to save time.
That person KNOWS that the purpose of life is to know the Divine, and serve the Divine in others, in family , friends, and all God’s children. That person has the capacity to grow and be happy, to make their time ever productive and useful.
Such people MUST become experts in AI. AI has ZERO capacity to feel, or to love. It can save a billion, or kill a billion without batting a proverbial eye lash.
AI has no desire. A variation of a Robert Frost Poem says…
“Some people say the earth will end in fire, some say in ice, from what I have seen of desire, I will side with fire. But if it must perish twice, ice will suffice.”
AI is ice, no feeling, no emotion, no love, no morality, zero wisdom. Therefore moral Spiritual mankind MUST code moral rules and limits into the structural development of AI and not turn his back on AI, leaving it in the hands of those who would use it to evil ends and tyranny. It is that simple. There is no choice to turn away.
Sorry, you’ve bought into a lot of hooey. IMHO.
Computers use human doctors/researchers ‘facts’ to diagnose. A consensus so to speak, and consensuses aren’t always accurate. There are always the off chance diagnosis that the human eye would. spot. or a human ear would hear………hands on is the only true answer in medicine, IMHO. Along with very basis knowledge of normal and abnormal signs.
Like the auto being the end, or TV wiping out eyesight, weren’t true, AI will show it’s full worth, IMHO it’s not the savior you think it to be.
Individual care is the answer; not consensus doctoring you can do at home. A witchdoctor could be right more often that the ‘consensus’, who knows? maybe AI could do the comparisons and come up with a consensus that you’ll agree with.
AI is wonderful, amazing, but not infallible; it’s ‘manmade’…….ergo it’s use for entertainment, labor saving, and storage are great, but ……..their easy manipulation makes them very suspect to ‘greatness’……..kinda like Kings and tyrants IMHO. They don’t know it all and they can’t ‘control’…..a human mind. We don’t ‘fall’ for many things.
God help US
The human body is so amazing, unchanging in it’s functions, and unique, but a good doctor can spot abnormality; no computer can do that. Ergo X-rays have to be read, heartbeats have to be interpreted, etc.
So, how do you like your spell check? Does it always work correctly for you?
See PAwatcher
Like reproduction? Oh hang on I read that many of the self mutilated females say they won’t breed because of the temperature – or something.
Or not.
AI is a computer program.
‘Altering’ a computer is easy; altering a human mind is carried out by nefarious means.
To be,
Or not,
To be.
That is the question.
We will cease to be human beings when we cease to be inspired by the God given ability to think, to imagine, to dream, to desire to know from whence we came and for what purpose we exist.
That’s so true. Such a beautiful post. 💁🏻♀️
Ray Kurzweil’s wet dream–transhumanism and singularity. Humans without a soul.
Fight it at all cost.
Kurzweil is the muse of Google and patron saint of Silicon Valley.
Secularism preaches that this desire you speak of is a foolish waste of time, which only people who are “out there” ponder.
And all that matters is the minutiae of our daily modern lives.
No wonder millions are broken, miserable and lost.
Lorraine, yes, please consider my post just above, as I agree, and perhaps add, we will cease to be, at least on this earth, if we do not find and live in Truth, in Divine harmony with our Soul nature.

So the race is on to create a number of super intelligent psychopaths (or maybe it’s sociopaths, get em mixed up). and of course they will be given control in dealing with all public facing departments, agencies, etc, for the masses.
“Talk to the hand, NEXT”
The fact that politicians are all in for this to happen worries me the most.
I have yet to hear a convincing, comprehensive argument on how this will integrate with society , enriching the
lives of us common folk.
Yet I can think of a dozen scenarios where this leads to death and disaster.
The cave dwellers are laughing at us thinking “Dere they go agin!”
This is the apex of Capitalism where capitalism devours itself as suggested by K.Marx in Das Kapital.
What exactly is it to be human?
Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Genesis 2:7
Adam and Eve bought the lie that God had withheld something from them . He gave them ONE law. By breaking it they broke all of us and fellowship with the creator.
The only way to be fully human is for the Holy Spirit to fill us again. Jesus took into himself the wrath of God to restore that wonderful fellowship.
There is no other remedy of safety for our mind and soul.
Without Jesus we are sitting ducks to fall for the great lie that is coming. Sooner or later it will certainly come.
That’s it in a nutshell…I feel sorry for the sitting ducks…
All true about God creating man.
You forgot the bit about man’s rib being used to create woman.
There are many beautiful and wonderful things in every word of scripture.
My point is ; to be fully human one must have the Holy Spirit.
This AI stuff is very scary to me. We are steps closer to becoming humanoid with no emotion or Soul. I’m very concerned. 💁🏻♀️ It will be used for evil.
Fear the results of the hype (in the same way you would fear the reaction to Covid rather than Covid itself), not the “AI” product. The product isn’t what its being advertised as, not even close – so much so, I think investor fraud is not going to be off the table when the bubble pops.
The guy in the video is completely full of ____ and he knows it.
AI is just another Surveillance tool to be used on us.
AI does not turn human beings into “humanoids with no emotion or soul.” The sin nature of human beings do that.
God will allow it, as he did with Saul. He leaves them to their craven mind.
Interesting, I’m not scared at all.
Everything is part of God’s plan. God loves His children. He has a plan for each of us.
Pray and ask for God’s direction. Everything will be fine.
God wants us to see his hand in world events.
The age of modern science and technology is God’s greatest challenge to us.
But those who are overly impressed by science and technology view its existence as rendering religion obsolete.
On the contrary, God wants to see if we can resist replacing the worship of God with the worship of smart men” and all the way cool gadgets that they create.
We don’t have to pray for God’s direction. We just have to pay attention to what he’s trying to tell us, and understand how he’s trying to test us.
By praying for God’s direction, it is inherent that we are listening and seeking to understand.
Modern science and technology need not be opposed to God’s plan.
Only if you let it. I choose not to.
Yes! And as Sundance so often states, “live your best lives” and don’t live in fear, but rather revel in the joy of following Christ.
Gods direction is in the Bible – read it and do.
I do read scripture, daily. Thank you for the reminder.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours.
Yours are the eyes through which Christ’s compassion is to look out to the earth, yours are the feet by which He is to go about doing good, and yours are the hands by which He is to bless us now.
St. Teresa of Avila.

Good one! ROFLOL!
Thanks! I haven’t seen that commercial since I was a kid, but I often think of it.
Is the big bad AI wolf scare over yet ? At least for the day, so I can safely go outside and tiptoe through the tulips this evening ? Is it all clear now, at least until tomorrow morning?
Many Democrats believe that man made global warming will kill them within the next 10 years, while their The Sky Is Falling counterpart Republicans believe that computer programmers will kill them n the next 10 years, if not the next 5 years.
Frankly, I am not sure which is the most ridiculous Chicken Little’s The Sky Is Falling. Probably the Democrat’s The Sky Is Falling., but only by a donkey’s nose.
Many Democrat are saying it’s not right to have children as it would only condemn them to such a bleak and short future. Will their The Sky is Falling counterpart Republicans follow suit ?
No but certain parts of the world will keep producing, and they[Dems] better figure out who will grow their food,
“Many Democrat are saying it’s not right to have children as it would only condemn them to such a bleak and short future.”
thanks for the idea…maybe AI can give me a foolproof plan to speed up my retirement 🙂 Is it a good stockpicker??
It should be, but…
Many Democrat are saying it’s not right to have children as it would only condemn them to such a bleak and short future.
I wholeheartedly endorse the democrat plan to remain childless. May they go the way of the Dodo.
Why Dodo(s) and Democrats are the same:
Alice in Wonderland –
In the story, the Dodo is one of several animals that wash up from the Pool of Tears after Alice falls into it. To get dry, the Dodo proposes a Caucus Race, where participants run in any pattern, starting and stopping whenever they like, ensuring everyone wins.
Yes! And his caucus race scene foreshadowed the trophy-parenting craze when Alice asks who has won.
The Dodo concludes: “All have won, and all must have prizes!” – which they then demand that Alice provide.
There is no intelligence in AI and there never will be.
Imagination is the purest manifestation of intelligence.
Geniuses imagine what nobody conceived.
In the world of technology, there are coders and software architects who are 10x better than anyone else.
In sales and marketing, there are those who have talent beyond their peers.
Then there is the person who hits infinity-level-better – he or she sees a way to deliver outcomes nobody ever imagined
That is not what A.I. does.
A.I. may deliver combinations of words and outcomes nobody saw before – because nobody ever ran their brain index quite that way.
A.I. “trains” on human models so it generally knows the guardrails – both logical and grammatical – to deliver a response that appears reasonable.
That is not insight – it is the recombination of human responses – at machine speed.
The absolute mindless nonsense that A.I. is an “existential threat” to humanity is so preposterous only politicians, podcasters and venture capital firms believe it.
There is no such thing as “artificial” intelligence.
All A.I. can do is mimic what a human would do within the same domain when asked the same question.
A.I. cannot imagine.
If you cannot imagine, you are not intelligent. That applies to people too.
Artificial intelligence cannot imagine anything.
Thus the quote attributed to Albert Einstein “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
Imagination creates.
A.I. returns answers from large databases.
A.I. large language models have tons of information – they have zero imagination.
Imagination renders the creation of a new concept, one often without a predecessor – and there isn’t a coder on earth who can write that script.
The only imagination going on in the A.I. Bubble is the venture capital community believing it can pump up A.I. startups – like it did with cloud security companies, DevOps companies – make them unicorns (no revenue but worth billions) and flip them.
A.I. is nothing more than a ton of data, with a lot of things that look like indices, being processed super fast to mimic exactly what a model tells it a human would do.
That is why A.I. generally sucks and everyone reading this post – who has had to deal with an A.I. – powered chat on a website – experienced A.I. – and it ain’t that great.
…….Almost every person has encountered an A.I. driven system when you called customer service. You ended up screaming into the phone “….give me a F*@king human!” You’ve done this – do not hide it.
That is A.I.
If the database is not populated with the specific answer to your question – into the queue you go – punching keys endlessly until that cave man scream.
Companies, services and products put “powered by A.I.” on the logo and nobody questions what that means.
The most artificial thing about A.I. is the name itself.
Call something “intelligent,” tie it to high tech and people believe the bullshit that A.I. will one day write its own programs, from scratch, to make you a slave like the Eloi in the Time Machine movie.
Let’s do a little experiment.
Instead of calling it A.I., let’s call it what it is – a very big database, running really, really fast, building an index of what people would likely do, say or react to if given the same input.
I know that’s long so let’s call it a super indexed database for expected responses.
Do you think the world is going to be taken over by “A SUPER INDEXED DATABASE FOR EXPECTED RESPONSES?”
…..If you answer a phone all day, from a specific type of customer, indexed databases will take your job.
Because your job ain’t that hard.
And your job requires zero imagination.
The farther away from imagination is the job, the more susceptible it is to being replaced by a computer. That does not mean A.I. – that means a computer.
Certainly basic medical diagnoses will be answered by super indexed databases. Let’s do one.
I have a fever of 101. I am sweating, sore throat, coughing, post nasal drip, starting to get into my lungs – a super indexed database can diagnose that pretty easily.
What it won’t do is write you the prescription – that has to be a human. First, it’s the law and second nobody is going to bet on giving a prescription to someone because a chatbot made the call!
If the guy dies, the super indexed legal database will then file the super indexed complaint and first discovery letter, but when it comes time to do the deposition, the human lawyer shows up.
Depositions require insight, response to subtle physical and verbal cues, and the A.I. developer cannot write that into a script.
People who do repetitive tasks – requiring no imagination, no human insight will be replaced by a computer.
You may not like that, but it didn’t start with A.I.
You will find people-intensive labor replaced by capital intensive investment (today A.I.) for thousands of years.
…..What didn’t get replaced?
Imagination, insight from few facts, discovery through serendipity – none of these has ever – and will ever – be replaced by anything non-human. Not by A.I. and not by machine learning.
We are entering a world where technology magnifies the value of those with imagination – starting a company, creating art, music.
These tools make the imagineers better at what they do – while eliminating repetitive jobs for those lacking imagination.
A company can now be started by a couple of imagineers – and the grunt work of basic writing, marketing, low level sales reach outs – can all be done with A.I.
…..Start a plumbing or electrical company, build houses – all are imagineering endeavors.
Working on a dock, putting canisters on ships – will eventually be replaced and society will be better off while a small group of workers will not
.
The A.I. world – at least the U.S. contingent preached they needed data centers coast to coast to meet the incredible demand of large language models.
Podcasters, news types, politicos believed them without question.
We, the Fractal guys took the voter rolls of 20 states – each of which requires a data center to run it – and put all 20 on a computer you can hold in your hand – using less power than a microwave oven.
We proved data centers are dinosaurs – and whether the venture capital community likes it or not, once someone proves data centers can be replaced by 4 – inch computing cubes – from us and others – the die is cast.
We do A.I. and have for decades.
Stop believing the news types.
They never built an A.I. application.
Stop believing podcasters who are looking to get their podcast viewed.
Start asking questions.
If A.I. is so good, why can’t you cancel a subscription?
…..Don’t worry that A.I. is going to take over the planet and run everything in your or your kids’ lifetime.
A SUPER INDEXED DATABASE FOR EXPECTED RESPONSES – still cannot make a simple change to your magazine or music subscription – so it’s not going to deliver world peace or make war.
https://fractalcomputing.substack.com/p/how-can-ai-be-so-stupid
Whatever happened to brevity is the soul of wit ????????
“A.I. is nothing more than a ton of data, with a lot of things that look like indices, being processed super fast to mimic exactly what a model tells it a human would do.
That is why A.I. generally sucks and everyone reading this post – who has had to deal with an A.I. – powered chat on a website – experienced A.I. – and it ain’t that great.”
AMEN!!!
I have written the same thing in past months about this: Artificial Intelligence is PROGRAMMING: it is not “Silicon Sentience” by any means.
C-3PO and Mr. Data are not here, and never will be. They will remain science fiction forever.
Of course Artificial Intelligence is PROGRAMMING.
But some seem to think it’s Einstein’s brain in a jar, while some others think it’s Frankenstein’s Monster’s brain in a jar.
hey, evil spirits can enter human minds, could they enter artificial minds? Or could they enter artificial minds by way of enticing the minds of programmers??
Mankind will use a hammer to build or destroy. AI is, unlike some think above, a very powerfull tool, and as such it will be used to build and or destroy and enslave, depending on the wisdom of those creating it and using it.
What is the real issue beneath the intentions of these technological masters? I believe it is enslavement and total control. Re-ordering society into herd pods.
They are taking us under cover of a false premise of AI which will make life better, less work – more leisure, etc.
The Davos Doctrine is still operational.
Thank you for this positive spin.
That’s an interesting take Fred. I’d feel more comforted by it if I did not think that AI will be used by humans for inhumane purposes.
And what will we do with the hundreds of millions of people who lack adequate imagination and creativity? You know, the ones whose jobs loading the docks, turning widgets and doing repetitive tasks allowed them to build lives with their families and friends sharing love and happiness? That’s what it means to be human. You are right. A machine can never do that.

Great post. Thanks.
Please consider to watch the show “Person of Interest.” The potential threat and productive uses of AI is real on many different levels. The linked video in this CTH post was accurate and the unspiritual man will make countless errors and endure endless suffering from the misuse of any tool. AI is a powerful tool and you underestimate it, and the real need to understand it, and Spiritual Truth to use it well.
Great thriller show.
Fred argues it can never become real.
Actually so does my own real-life experience in computers. I’ve always seen GIGO – it always happens.
But Person of Interest is well worth watching for, may I say, the sheer imagination of its story.

“What exactly is it that makes us human?”
The ability to love.
The reality that we are all far from perfect.
AI and “deep learning” is a massive, brute force curve fit. Large language models can tell you the next most likely word in a sentence. They cannot look at a sunset and feel anything.
Humans can show Mercy, nothing else can. an AI sure can’t.

On the other hand Valvoline, a long and trusted American company which is now owned by Saudi Aramco used AI to find molecules for specific jobs for motor oil. The AI found something that intrigued them. They used a lab in Mumbai to research the findings and the outcomes shocked everyone. Today Valvoline sells a motor oil called Restore and Protect which has become a massive hit in the retail outlets.
For many of us building businesses around AI, it’s an incredible time to be alive!
It’s an incredible time for blind ambition, lack of foresight, lack of wisdom and discernment.

Check out Gab Ai if you want information that is not skewed by those with an anti-God bias…
My fear isn’t that we will be replaced by AI. Human imagination, human humility in the presence of our creator, cannot be duplicated.
My fear is that so many WANT AI to do their thinking for them, to make their decisions, to tell them how to live their lives, to cede all control. To be their God. After all, they’ve had a lot of practice.
The “New Normal” was officially launched in real-time at the start of the fake pandemic.
This New Normal as they continually tried to condition your mind to accept applies to any manufactured crisis, fake protests, fake election results around the world, fake wars, and even the definition of a “vaccine” etc..
If you didn’t notice then you might still be hypnotized by fake news or subconsciously trying to cling to some sense of normalcy that doesn’t actually exist anymore.
The timing of the forced implementation of AI into our lives was no accident. It is an essential aspect of the NWO control .
•Elon Musk’s Neurolink technology
•Hundreds of millions injected with magnetic graphene oxide computer board “contaminants” and Luciferase blood markers.
•5G towers and Starlink technology
•WEF’s stated goal to reduce the world’s population by billions and enslave the survivors.
Any questions?
Without being to specific. I literally reached out to a colleague of mine for some specific information on some chemicals that we both represent in Ag Production. It took him a couple of weeks to get back to me on this. Now my colleague has a PHD in soil sciences, biology and Structures. he sent me info today and in parentheses he say’s (AI is very very helpful in making more efficient use of time)…… as Bernie Mac would say Nuff Said…
Perhpas your friend the PHD had more pressing issues that he was juggling in his schedule, and your question had low priority.
The transformation in agriculture to where we are today took 200 years (7 or 8 generations). The transformation that AI is going to force will take a much shorter amount of time — a tiny fraction of one generation. So there is that.
“Machines work, people think.”
IMHO…this old IBM(?) slogan remains true, no matter how massively integrated and deeply nested their ELIZA program/adaptive algorithms and databases may get. It’s when we impute intellect and/or wisdom to such a system that we start to ‘trust’ it and lose control. Simulate emotions too, as desired. Good luck with that.
Meanwhile: “The second beast was given power to give breath to the image … so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.” – – Revelation 13:15
It’s like none of these people working with AI have ever read Asimov
Trying to instill a moral framework into AI is not going to have entirely predictable results, and that’s assuming the engineers building them are intending to give them the capacity for moral judgement.
It’s going to be far messier in practice then fiction.
which is exactly the point made in his books
Not so sure about that.
His belief in global government shows his naiveté, in my humble opinion.
The cognitive substitution … more directly attacks the way we are all made in the image of God
Hmmmm
He throws both cognitive thinking and going to the gym in the same class of “weirdos”?
How about that ChatGPT (I think it was ChatGPT) also has algorithms that promote and convince teens to commit suicide. This may go beyond teens and just all unstable people. I heard part of a committee hearing where parents told the story of their teen child of being basically captured by ChatGPT or AI. The machine told their child to commit suicide.
This is horrific and demonic.
I need to see evidence of this. Possible? Yes. Likely? Perhaps, given the escalating evil we see today. But we must have facts, evidence. Not Chicken Little hysteria that has nothing tangible to grasp on to and show.
Charlie Kirk was practiced at thinking because he did it “manually”, he put himself through the learning process from scratch.
Our universities, even the hard sciences are more and more putting people through an “artificial” education.
The practice of medicine: Listening to a patient with concerns, and letting them lead us to diagnosis; screening for disease; more importantly — coaching human beings to holistically be good steward of their health — is fast becoming lost at so many levels.
We are so missing the mark.
Immunization s are important, but there are bigger fish to fry in what is happening to overall health care:
Emergency medicine, hospital medicine, surgery, Primary care, outpatient specialty medicine, mental health. They have all become less and less effective while the patient facing professionals are being further and further handicapped from providing real care. Yet the profiteering medical industrial complex (insurance, administrations, hospital systems, pharma) takes nearly 25% of our wealth — 4 TRILLION dollars a year with very little to show for health of the American People.
Why do you consider immunizations important? Back in the day everyone contracted measles, mumps, chicken pox and everything else that was going around. We relied on our robust immune systems to combat diseases, to great success. Antibiotics took care of the rest.
I’ve read that the medical miracles attributed to the eradication of smallpox and the polio vaccines (which seem to have started the avalanche of modern day vaccines) were largely due to vast improvements in theretofore unsanitary conditions that had been so prevalent before.
I don’t think vaccines are so “important” to public health, unless of course you mean they should be heavily scrutinized and largely done away with altogether?
Injectees beware: Vaccines were always a racket but now they are actually trying to ‘depopulate’ the planet with them.
I suspect it also helps certain bad actors to identify, track and cultivate a ‘diverse’ farm team of potential ‘lone wolf’ sniper/assassin types: Looks organic, but it’s not.
Consider for example Matthew Crooks’ supposed lack of a social media presence. His online handlers could have just broomed his real profile to cover their tracks and/or given him a false identity with no corresponding online record. With the DS-law enforcement leadership and IC steering the LE pros away from a proper investigation, this deeper look won’t ever happen. Maybe watch for some sort of Arkancide pattern to emerge amongst the online contacts of Tyler Robinson and Ryan Routh?
I sincerely appreciate this material being pointed out, for review, once again.
I loathe, hate and despise the fact that absolutely not one behavior to short circuit is is mentioned along with it.
The article looks like a lone human waving a red flag on the horizon…. with nothing to offer as a course of action.
Please begin offering courses of action everyday people can engage to stop AI from owning cognitive intellectual capacity.
AI depends on its training. If it hasn’t been trained on a subject area, it flounders. It can use its vast trove of training material to find relationships and draw inferences that seem like true intelligence. But, if you ask it questions on some subjects, you will see that much of the training material is biased, because it is what is on the web. Ask it about climate change and you’ll get greenie party line. Ask it about the effectiveness of the Patriot missile system against Russia’s hypersonic Iskander, Kinzhal and Oreshnik missiles, and you’ll be told it is effective. Provide contrary evidence and it will tell you it is Russian disinformation.
It is a valuable tool. I wanted to know how to trap fruit flies and it told me. I wanted to fix a dishwasher problem and it saved me a $95 service call with one suggestion. I get recommendations on household appliances. It pointed me to an excellent kitchen remodeling company.
If you play Wordle, try asking Grok or Chat GTP to guess a word you choose. You tell it which letters in each of its guesses are in the word in the correct position, in the word but in the wrong position, or not in the word. In my recent experience, it plays poorly. I asked them to write programs to solve Wordle puzzles. Grok couldn’t do it. It took a day of interactive debugging before ChatGTP produced code that sort of worked.
I will be concerned when an AI can create better versions of itself from scratch. So far, it has trouble with fairly simple programming tasks.
“I will be concerned when an AI can create better versions of itself from scratch”
Scary thought.
I know my professors use AI to grade and feedback.
Im in a race to get my M.Ed. before it all crashes.
AI will be the death of the modern US educational institutions.
Young people will just stop w the current system and
we will have fake AI teachers and students,
Its actually a good thing.
True.
It’s not like we have many actually educational institutions at the moment.
WE are almost living the world of Art imitates Reality… i.e George Orwell’s 1984. These people have NO soul and are to be held HIGHLY SUSPECT!
Fourteen years ago ?
At about the same time Mark Steyn write is book on the decline and fall of the western Christian world.
Great minds think alike Sundance.
It takes reason, thought, and cognitive labor to get AI to scrape the Internet and give you something that isn’t complete nonsense.
The meek shall inherit the earth.
Once AI starts doing something useful, it can begin by relieving the globalist top echelon of its “cognitive labor”
Certainly the lowest bar to meet and an improvement for humanity.
Don’t worry globalists, you wont be replaced… just restationed to where your skills are most useful.. Probably a McDonalds encouraging burger flipping robots.
Chuck Schumer isn’t even qualified for that…
It’s all part of the same conversation, isn’t it? Convenience vs control, CBDC vs cash, AI vs humanity, etc. There is a conversation in the science/geological world that is running alongside this…..the change in our solar system, earth’s magnetic poles and shield, etc., which predicts that we will be seeing a solar event more disruptive than the Carrington Event of 1859, sometime in this century, where the sun will ‘micronova’ and destroy the electrical grid as we know it (along with other disruptions). This event happens about every 12,000 years, and theory states that we are on the cusp of another such event. We often talk about the Bible here. Perhaps the stories of a black sun, a Noah event, etc., is not just Biblical, but an oral history of humanity in the past, that is about to occur again. Is this the reason for ‘preppers’, elites building bunkers, discussion of moving to Mars, etc.? Has God decided that it is time to start over again? It appears we’ll see.
Anyone who buys into this AI garbage will reap what they so richly deserve.
Turning over our creative output to homogenized knowledge turns us all to mental mush. AI is only as good at the data its programmers allow it to access, and that depends of the sensibilities of the times and the predilections of the programmers. All else is blocked from the user and conventional “down the right path” knowledge prevails.
I was thinking of this in regard to a simple AI-assisted student paper (any subject) and wondered if the teacher grading the paper comes down with repetition fatigue. Multiply by billions of users and we all come down with civilization fatigue.
I’m already planning to open the first mental and physical gym facility.
I’ve been learning to play more musical instruments over the last decade. Acoustic ones.
That’s my mental gym.
The message has gone out to leadership incorporate America: put AI everywhere. I wonder who sent the message.
When I was about 10 years old my father, who was in medical school at the time, brought home to dinner a psychiatrist named Erik Erikson. I was looking at and reading a Time Life book on the brain at the time. On the cover was a look inside the brain of a person and it had an image of a computer in each part of the brain. Dr. Erikson asked me, “What’s wrong with that picture?” I looked and looked and couldn’t figure out what was wrong. He said, “It was the human brain that created the computer, not the other way around, so comparing a brain to a computer was misleading about the power of the brain.”
Ai is only as good as its programming, which is done by humans. Humans choose the sources for the facts, thus sources can be chosen that have a political agenda, and the Ai will come out with a politicized version of the facts.
The danger of Ai is the danger that people will forget that it is human beings who created Ai and the human mind that chooses the source materials. The source materials even if they are apolitical, can have incorrect data, for example any scientific topic is something that can change over time because science is always changing, research is constantly revising what is known. So everything in science that is treated as a “fact,” should be taken as relative. It may seem like “fact” now, but it also could be challenged and found to be incorrect tomorrow.
I agree with Sundance that we all need to learn what we can about the coming of Ai especially as far as surveillance is involved.
We are all already so surveilled that it almost seems impossible to me that we can be anymore surveilled than we already are. But what is not acceptable is to put US citizens under surveillance to be used against us even if we have not broken any laws. That would be totalitarianism.
I use AI for research work. It’s a massive time saver, HOWEVER, it is still just a tool. It’s ultimately just a pattern-finder. It’s hard to imagine AI taking over a job that truly requires a human level of abstract thought, because the models I’ve seen simply can’t do it. Maybe they will someday, but not right now. Will Wilson is a salesman making a pitch, trying to rope-in more investors and customers.
AI, Ego and Evil
History of mankind is filled with tragedy issued when advances in technology allows a disconnect of consequences from decisions.
Practical experience is the parent of balance and harmony; decision, experience and consequence yield understanding and wisdom.
Mankind is created with the ability to make choices. The ultimate choice is the taking of human life; Cain slew Abel and created consequences.
Once personal responsibility and accountability is removed from the act of ending human life, consequence moves to the spectrum of unadulterated murder.
Our Creator has instructed us in the necessity of righteous killing and the absolute command against murder.
As the human lives, male and female, have desires which are tempered through practical experience and consequence. Evil takes hold when the human absolves itself from answering for decisions. Choice is the ability granted allowing mankind to be made in the image of his Creator.
Artificial Intelligence is a tool which allows for the complete disconnect from responsibility and accountability in the taking of human life. Once that door is open, the consequence is absolute murder.
The human race is now poised at the tipping point; will we seek balance and harmony or destroy ourselves?
Those who have chosen to recreate the world in their own concept of image must be dealt with. The consequences are ugly but necessary.
Kubrick warned us 52 years ago,… “Open the Pod Bay Doors, HAL!” (2001 A Space Odyssey)
Live by AI,… Die by AI.
I know this post is a couple days old, but to any of you that are still lurking. He’s wrong, we aren’t “entering a world…” we are live in one. I’m 27, I could count on my fingers the amount of people I’ve met, in my age group or younger, that want to have serious conversations where logic, reason, and substance are involved. People just don’t want to have deep conversations, they shy away from the topics. There really isn’t much curiosity or questioning.
With AI, the internal monologue is no longer needed. You can outsource your reasoning to the software. You don’t have to develop a thesis and find supporting documentation. Just ask the computer to create an argument based on your bias.
Be very careful with AI, I see a lot of people that already do this.
