The left ALWAYS projects, one of Saul Alinsky’s stated methods. Accuse your opponent of what you are doing, thus, they are pretending that the Trump DOJ is targeting Letitia James as opposed to the truth, which is that Letitia literally ran far office with her biggest campaign promise being to “get Trump,” a la Levrentiy Beria, Stalin’s deputy. This approach is by definition unconstitutional.
James’ real crimes are obvious and well documented; the only way she could not be prosecuted is for the legal system to treat her with kid gloves – also not constitutional.
So for the leftist media to come to her defense they are desperately trying to frame this investigation as a retributive action, rather than the natural consequence of her lying under oath, lying on documents, claiming that her dad was her husband, claiming that a five family building was a four family, etc. And for 20 years!

The only recent anti-leftist violence I am aware of, which was of course also reprehensible, was the MN Democrat statehouse member murdered at her home.
The murder of the MN Democrat Legislator was done by another leftist wacko … that Legislator and spouse were targeted for delaying a democrat give away Bill in the MN state House.
It was a case of leftist violence focused on a a person RESISTING the MN Leftist agenda, and was not “anti-leftist violence”. Interesting, we hear nothing of the trial because the Governor of MN has been named by the killer, as his boss. One would think the democrats in MN would be burning the midnight oil to clear the MN Governor or Arkacide the criminal in his cell to end the case.
