Four decades ago, I was told -by a fellow lawyer who also had a medical degree – to never, ever take Tylenol with alcohol; that it was highly toxic to liver function. On the rare occasions I’ve had an ache or pain, its always been simple aspirin. We have never even had it in the remedies cabinet.

One more comment on Bondi and Wiles. It seems Bondi is not moving forward with any investigations/prosecutions of the sedition, treason, and vote fraud. To save this country will take strong action to bring to justice to the evildoers that tried to overthrow the President and Constitution.

The medical profession has been known to change the parameters for disease. Notice how much easier it is to be diagnosed with high blood pressure or high cholesterol…or diabetes.

Now it seems that most people (on Reddit, anyway) seem to have some flavor of autism. It used to be so rare that it was classed in the DSM-IV with mental retardation (a birth defect).

If they can manage to define what autism is, and that Tylenol is the problem, then prevention will be easy. If folic acid is an actual cure, then that will be easy too. The pharmaceutical companies will hate both solutions.

Retired Magistrate here: When my brother. John, was born in 1953, my mother was in her early 40’s and my brother was delivered by a forceps delivery. From the beginning John was not “normal.” He would put himself to sleep by banging his head against the wall, he was constantly on the move, trying to discipline him would just bring laughter. He was always hurting himself to the point where the doctors in the ER knew my mother and brother by name.

The doctors told my parents John was hopeless and should be locked up in an institution; we drove by the “institution” and it was really a prison with bars on the window. My parents refused to put my brother “away” and found other parents whose children were in the same situation. They were able to find a doctor who was willing to treat these children with the drugs available at the time and through counselling. In addition, the doctor told my parents that when my brother reached puberty another part of his brain would take over and John would get better; he did.

My brother went on to live a productive life. Of course, he had his problems. After returning from serving in Viet Nam he was homeless and lived out of his car. I didn’t find this out until later; he was in California and I was in Ohio. Turns out my brother was an excellent salesman and eventually he ended up with his own little business and supported his wife and two children.

My brother died in May of this year from ALS.

So maybe my brother suffered from autism, I guess I will never know. I do know that my parents kept him out of an institution and didn’t put him “away.”

Maybe, but this is not a logical necessity. It could be that autism (neural damage) caused by a chemical poison is a function of how much, how often, and when the poison was ingested.  

The historical cause of autism (resulting in a very specific damage) was superseded by a new agent that caused a varying amount of damage.  When it appeared, diagnosticians introduced a way to describe the damage, and we get the spectrum.

In other words, the increase in autism is not caused by the diagnoses, but by the new agent, which caused a spectrum of damage.

I do not claim that is the reality, but it very well might be. And I do not like the “we are better at diagnosis” argument. If people had proof that better diagnosis is the reason for more autism I would not complain. But they do not: it is a hypothesis, and not helpful because it takes attention away from finding the real cause.
