Jimmy Kimmel didn’t get pulled for being “mean to the right” he was pulled because he *knowingly* made a false statement, violating the FCC’s rules (I imagine against defamation), & then refused to issue a statement/apology about it. He risked ABC’s license & got put in time out.

Jimmy Kimmel and News Broadcasts are not meant to be money makers for the owners of media outlets. The fact these media products are money losers due to low viewer ratings is immaterial. They are kept around for two major reasons:
First: They as 1st Amendment and Court protected means to attack enemies publicly as well as control thought on ALL issues.
Second: After reaping the benefits of controlling issues and attacking their enemies … the puppet masters reap a tax write-off.
The owners of the Media Outlets are major Financial Puppet Masters and NOT the media companies. The media companies are just minor parts of their overall entire portfolio of investments … which serve the purposes stated above.
Since the Smith Mundt act got repealed, this same thing could be attributed to all the networks for all their propaganda.

I read that the funding had already been approved under Biden. President Trump has redirected it to NATO defense instead of straight to the Ukraine, bypassing Zelenskyy and putting the spotlight squarely on EU if and when NATO chooses to engage.

You can’t cry “Fire” in a crowded theater. You can’t defame someone with lies, and you can’t threaten physical violence for speech you disagree with without being arrested.
May you cry “fire” in a city park, on the side of a highway, on your front lawn, in your grocery store parking lot, etc.?
The crying of “fire” is very NARROWLY proscribed in a specific instance, and only because it causes alarm and instant reaction–a fight or flight response–with no means for the crowd to either KNOW the alarm is true or false, and no time to ascertain such or a safe passage out. In short, it’s intent to cause specific mayhem with possible loss of life. Subsequent prosecution would have the burden to prove that the claim was false and one had specific intent; otherwise, it is perfectly legitimate to cry “fire” if one believes there is indeed a fire.
No one, however, would construe the above to be anything other than one of two things: intent to save lives or cause them to be lost. Not readily apparent that there is a third possibility apart from insanity.
In the case of public utterances outside of a critically narrow instance described above, there really are no grounds for prosecuting speech except for perhaps one exact instance: declaration of war. A declaration of war is a pronouncement that proceedings WILL begin in the form of combat against a specific named enemy. In such an instance, the named party really and truly does have grounds to declare the same in return. Thus, one could argue that mutual declarations begin the combat process, and legal proceedings may ensue as tactics by which to defend against a true declaration.
This isn’t hard. If you threaten to kill, stab, rape me, I can call the police and it is actionable. Going on about exceptions to crying fire or defamation is a straw man argument.

That’s called “declaration of war”; apply it to all of those types of conflicts you describe.

That is, someone will declare that he has been offended and is now fearful, and you will be hauled into court and prosecuted. That’s where that control on speech goes.
As to crowded theater stampedes, if there is no stampede, there are no injuries, and there is no crime…despite someone having shouted “fire” in a crowded theater. If it results in injuries, then the speech itself was not criminal, it was the order to evacuate that people obeyed. That then requires that there was provably no initial danger….otherwise the warning was arguably valid.

In answer to your second question – we didn’t get to the point we are at suddenly and we won’t resolve it suddenly either. It’s likely to be at times a grueling battle and like all battles there will be ebbs and flows. It’s important not to lose faith in the storm and to take the time to recharge on occasion in prayer and to enjoy the blessings granted to us.

Wednesday, Brad Raffensperger, GA Sec of State, announced he will also be running for governor as a Republican. He along with current governor, Brian Kemp, were/are huge supporters of Dominion voting machines. Raffensperger has been sued because of the Dominion machines because of the vulnerabilities- Curling vs Raffensperger and DeKalb County GOP vs Raffensperger.
Both cases thrown out either because of standing or it could not be proven a vote was changed. However there was plenty of evidence of vulnerabilities of the machines and it uses QR codes to count votes that only the machine can read.
Gabriel Sterling who oversaw the 2020 corrupt 2020 election is running for SOS to replace Raffensperger.
He and Raffensperger worked with the Democrats to establish the voting processes in 2020-lots of mail-in issues, chain of custody issues, Dominion issues, etc. But both Raffensperger or Sterling thought the election had few problems and Trump was wrong about GA election issues and Biden legitimately won. We also now have two D-Senators.
So, my opinion is that GA has a voting mess full of Establishment UniParty RINOs and if the Republican Party selects them-I’m out.

In a lawsuit, Curling vs Raffensperger, it was clearly shown in testimony how the Dominion machines can be hacked, installed software can change votes, and the output of the voter ballots are in a QR code used to count votes. There are lots of vulnerabilities, it is a computer, but the advocates say there are protections.
As I recall, the people objecting to their continued use were not allowed to investigate the actual machines used in the voting process compared with the ballots- proprietary software and ballots are legally secured, except for the ones they destroyed.
The case as thrown out- lack of standing, but noted security issues.

I was watching music videos and one of the comments was music videos is the closest thing there is to a time machine. I guess same can be for TV shows, movies, even old commercials.
For myself, the closest thing to a time machine are poignant memories, most often during quiet contemplation in God’s bountiful and beautiful nature.
Photographs and memories do it for me.
That’s my “time machine.”
Oh. And music, of course. Music is the thread weaving its way through my life. Oftentimes, a song takes me right back to a certain place and time.
Sounds definitely can trigger memories. Smells tend to be the strongest memories.
