Many years ago, I cared for a little one in Peds ICU, I forget the correct name of the genetic disorder, the little one had sexual organs of both sexes, but her parents had undergone intensive counselling, both medical and psychological as they had to make a decision, early on, on what gender their child would live life as, and subsequent surgeries to ‘back that up’…all in all, keeping with their child’s best interests…all children should be blessed with such focused parents…that was back around 1988…

At the end is the core of much of the thinking regarding abortions – everything else is just window dressing and attempts to justify the core thought and somehow negate all the other aspects.
She said, “But I would have to drop out of college” – framing her being in college as more important than a human life and thus, to her, a justification for murdering her child…
It also rejects the option of carrying the child full term and turning them over to an adopting family at birth.
Charlie was trying to explain to this girl that she doesn’t have to worry about being pregnant if she is responsible for her sex life. Abortion is just not defensible for people who actually think about what it is and why it is so awful to condone. It should never be used as a form of birth control which is what the pro abortion people want so they don’t have to be responsible for getting pregnant. Women and their male sexual partners both can prevent pregnancies from happening. Their arguments for abortion are just not rational or real or based on scientific fact. He’s right on all of that.
