It is not common when both the sitting President of the United States and the Vice President attend the same funeral together, when it is not a nationally recognized dignitary.
Both President Trump and Vice President JD Vance will be honoring Charlie Kirk at the funeral service. It is a fitting and considerate reflection of great honor, worthy of Kirk’s impact.
My dear friends, there is so much background stuff happening we are all watching in the aftermath of the Kirk assassination, it is difficult to find the words for any outline of value.
I cannot imagine how challenging life is for Charlie Kirk’s family right now, and out of the greatest respect I feel the best thing to do is just do nothing except honor his faith, work and legacy. I have made the decision not to cover any of the controversial aspects, direct or ancillary, beyond what I have already shared.
Do I have opinions, yes. And when my brain is full of things I want to say – my prayers and life lessons have guided me to understand that is exactly when it is best to say nothing.
My inner voice tells me to remain silent on any of the ancillary subjects until Charlie Kirk is laid to rest with great honor and tribute. Then, when it is appropriate, to provide my personal thoughts on facets that may be valuable in context.
Feel free to share any subject matter in/around the storyline of this tragedy on any open thread where we can gather in fellowship. I know a lot of people are hurting.

I’m new to Charlie. I have 3 grown sons, who have seemed so lost to me due to a father’s presence in their formative years.
I’m always checking out online pastors and influencers who aim to reach and influence men like my sons. Most give me serious concerns.
I just started watching Charlie’s videos in the past few months. He had everything that I would want for my sons: a passionate respect and obedience to God’s word. All of it. That alone is rare as hen’s teeth.
But his passion about being an effective and loving spiritual leader as a husband and father is wonderful to see. We are living in a time when boys hate and distrust girls, and girls feel the same about boys. To hear and see a godly family that models God’s plan is so healing. How great is God’s perfect plan for the love and care of family toward one another.
Charlie’s no holds barred defense of US history is educational, and it’s wonderful that he has taken the time to learn the truth about the founding fathers’ intent.
His loss hit me like a train. I can’t figure out why. I never met him. But my heart has been truly broken. For his family. But most of all for the lost bouts and girls who desperately need the truth that he will no longer be able to speak over them.
I’m praying for Charlie’s family, for our President, our VP, their families. I’m praying that the lost boys and girls will still hear truth- from Charlie’s videos or from another warrior.
I can’t help feeling that our country lost much more than we could afford to lose.
What our nation has lost is its moral compass.

Waving flags, wearing shirts with bible verses or an endorsement of their God given 2A rights. Urging the crowd to continue Charlie’s message. Unheard of here, until now. Until Charlie.
Look at the massive surge in requests to start TPUSA chapters. These young people are on fire! No one, no one, will replace Charlie’s eloquence, his charisma, his aura. But he planted so many seeds, and those seeds have sprouted. Our country will be returned to us. And it will start with these kids.
As for your sons, have faith. Boys don’t have full brain development, even in a perfect environment, til age 26 or so. Much later than girls. I was not one to follow Charlie Kirk. I watched a few videos put out on this site but never really felt a need to follow him. About three months ago my 27-year-old son had asked me if I knew who Charlie was. I answered him with a question – do you know who Charlie Kirk is. He said he did and that his roommate was a fan. I asked him if he liked what he saw and heard from the mouth of Mr. Kirk. His answer took my mind back 15 years to when my son was playing an online game with his cousin who lived overseas and whoever else from wherever else and I overheard him say to the other players- We should all be on the side of Jesus- He is our savior. My son took some ridicule but did not leave the game. My heart was full. I have lit my candle, and it will remain lit, except at night when we go to sleep, until he is laid to rest. Much Respect for the man.

We saw it in action in a very short career, and we saw it play out physically.
Each of us lives our lives which tell a story… and God is glorified. Not always by the heart and the individual but by the Truth of the Almighty which weaves its way through the lives and tracks that leave a story. Even King Nebuchadnezzar and Jezebel left tracks that declared God’s glory and might, despite them.
To the degree that we submit to God and seek to know His Son, we are transformed into His glory. Charlie’s short life declared in a mighty way the strength of God, His Grace, His mercy, His righteousness. He demonstrated faith and obedience.
There are a few men in my life whose death have affected me so deeply. Before 9/10, he was an impressive talking head, a strong Christian, a powerful political force, and effective debater with impressive professionalism and kindness.
After 9/10, his spiritual imprint on me is like Paul saying , “Follow me as I follow Christ”. I’m sure he is flawed, but by the grace of God some powerful work was done through him — and in the aftermath, the effect is an exponential explosion.
I feel like I am living Acts Chapter 2 in the flesh world wide
