Former CDC Director Susan Monarez appeared on Capitol Hill today to decry the horrible Trump and lay testimony against HHS Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, for defying the historic indulgences of the Big Pharma lobby.
Senator Markwayne Mullin had a few questions about Ms Monarez and her agenda. WATCH and tell me what you think.

But Mullin never presents the receipts. He keeps doing this weird dance where he calls her out as a liar, says she knows she is lying. But he never pulls out the testimony, the videotape, the direct quotes that would prove beyond all doubt she is lying. He has them. Why doesn’t he use them?
He keeps making assertions without taking the very next step of actually backing them up. That is exactly the same questioning technique all the Democrats in Congress use during hearings.
Mullin is relentless. Monarez is a weasel. But if the media covers this exchange at all they will spin it as “rich white man bullies unemployed woman.”
Why present ‘receipts’ and show his hand when he can use evidence of her lies to file perjury charges…once she’s completely painted herself into a criminal corner.

Susan Monarez has spent most of her career in government roles, particularly focused on public health and biomedical research. She began as an academic microbiologist and later served in several key U.S. government positions, including at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the National Security Council, the Department of Homeland Security (where she led health research programs), and as Deputy Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).
Her role as CDC Director, both acting (January to March 2025) and confirmed (July to August 2025), was the culmination of a career largely within federal health agencies and government science leadership.
There is no public record indicating she worked outside government or academia during her career before joining the CDC leadership.
In summary, Susan Monarez’s professional background has been almost entirely in government service and scientific research related to public health and biodefense.
I’m uncomfortable withe the term “government service”.
I am too – even tho I worked for the government for 30 years. I would not call it “service” because I was being paid. The term might better work for a military member.

She was appointed by Trump WHEN HE COULDN’T GET his first choice, Dave Weldon, confirmed. She has been in government for years in different departments and capacities. I think she was a place holder and Trump knew she was Swamp, but the position had to be filled.
I believe she was a sacrificial pawn used to further expose the deep state. Apparently, RFK was savvy to the move and let her/them take and swallow the bait.
Use “on the government payroll” instead of “in government service.”

I think it is a better long range strategy to not put those out now, and let her do some suffering about lying and when the next shoe is going to drop on her head. Lying to Congress is a crime. She did commit to the exchange with RFK, and he gave her a chance to recant, but her pride and ignorance wouldn’t let her do it…and they may make any future lawsuit immediately go away. But I agree it would have been more fun for us, We The People, if he would have brought out the records for all to see in public.

It’s HIS responsibility to ensure their testimony is truthful when under oath, not the American people.
Oaths don’t mean much to dems ‘cause most of them don’t believe in God.
She knows if anyone refers her for prosecution for lying under oath the case will be heard by a Washington DC grand jury. And if by some miracle the DC grand jury returns an indictment the trial will be in front of a DC judge and DC jury.
She is an Untouchable.
He knows exactly what he is doing, collecting soundbites for the next election cycle.
Past performances in Congress underscore that this theater is regularly conducted by committee hearings. Just a lot of bluster and dancing around problems and not actually solving them.

So that’s the big question – why didn’t he correct her account per the records? Which one is bluffing?
Maybe playing cat and mouse. Giving her more rope to hang herself. Probably didn’t have the recording with him or they aren’t allowed to play it in a hearing. Not sure. And she might have been scheduled to return another day so perhaps he was going to spring it on her and the room at another time.

New CDC should have weekly public financial reporting with an online searchable index of all contract and grant recipients and past/current research projects etc. And be smaller, permitting better oversight. Use computing power to good effect to spot and prevent problems. No more vagary, no more frankenscience. No more mysterious lost monies, padded contracts, or other crap.
It would have been nice if the Senator would have read from the records he had to show exactly how she was being dishonest instead of just saying over and over again that she was being dishonest.
Okay, this is just my personal opinion because I have noticed a similar thread amongst very liberal and “educated” women, in particular. If her career started in “biomedical research”, it certainly involved the bodies/”tissue” of aborted babies. And what I’ve noticed is the most strident (and pretty awful) women are ones who have lied to themselves about the sin and agony of abortion, and gaslighted themselves into thinking it is a good thing, then swallowed the idea and embraced the idea that using the bodies of aborted babies (not “fetus” or “product of conception”) for “medical research” is a perfectly good and normal thing to do. All the while, they financially benefit from selling human body parts to Big Pharma, etc. The Spirit that is at work in these women, is the Spirit of Jezebel.
