The seemingly subtler idea of Atonement for Humanity’s Sins against Divinity, that only Divinity can properly atone for sins against Divinity, has of course become dominant in the minds of most Christians.
But He died also for those basic freedoms: note that He was executed under Jewish Law, for Blasphemy. Pontius Pilate, as portrayed in the Gospels, wants nothing to do with the case, as Jesus had broken no Roman Laws, and Pilate famously washed his hands of responsibility. To quell the paid-for riot (yes, the ancient Greeks and Romans had that technique, which the Jewish leaders eagerly adopted!), Pilate agrees to let his soldiers act as executioners.
Claiming to be the Son of God led to Christ’s death.
We note that God has given us Freedom of Thought and Free Will, as He wants no forced or coerced allegiance: only Love, freely chosen, freely and genuinely felt, is what God wants from us.
Atheist Totalitarians want nothing to do with Freedom of Thought and its handmaiden, Freedom of Expression, because they want us as slaves to serve them only.
Communists/Totalitarians, therefore, celebrate the execution of Charlie Kirk in the same way that the Jewish leadership relished Christ’s crucifixion.
Freedom of Thought is dangerous to their illogical, topsy-turvy, double-thinking agenda, in which perversions are normalized and normal sexual behavior based upon Love and leading to children and families is denigrated, so that the State can assume total control over every aspect of a human being.
Our society – for many decades now – has been infected increasingly by Communist ideology, which they insist must be tolerated, and any opposition is termed “bigotry” or “racism” or “sexism” etc.
Toleration must have its limits: to be sure, “Love your enemies” and “Turn the other cheek” indeed, but the latter must have limits. As a priest once pointed out to us in high school, you only have two cheeks. After that, defend yourself!
And we note that Jesus did not tolerate the money-changers and hawkers in the temple: He single-handedly whipped them and drove them out into the streets!
He surely loved them, but did not tolerate them!
Love the sinner, but despise the sin!
As we mourn Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom (allow me to use the term) by a deluded, perverted, and pathetic totalitarian, remember that Charlie Kirk followed – and still follows – the Path of Christ.

I don’t desire to be critical, I just want to make a few observations. Hopefully, it will help to deepen my understanding of life. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine and reproof. 2 Timothy 3:16 Being raised in one of the Peace Churches I am very familiar with the “Two Kingdoms” doctrine. I remember a preacher of the Gospel saying once that the principles of the Sermon on the Mount will not work on a national level, as a last resort only force can maintain order between nation states and unregenerate man. I remember well God’s commands to Israel to wipe out ungodly people groups from time to time. War is a natural condition of man. God sometimes uses it to set up and take down national rulers and governments. There is a spiritual dimension to reality. I believe, in the final analysis, there is no common ground with Judeo-Christian belief versus Islam. God gave promises to Abraham that go thru Isaac and not Ishmael. These promises extend to the Church of Jesus Christ which was formed from first the Jew and then extended to Gentile. God still has a purpose for natural Israel, they would not be in existence without that Divine Purpose. He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her, and in Israel all nations of the earth have been and will be blessed. Someday, the Arab will acknowledge that Israel belongs in the Land.
The secular government of the nation called Israel is not Israel.

I was curious about the vitriol from the left against Charlie so I started researching some of Charlie’s more controversial subjects. Of course I found that the left lied about many and left out context but Charlie touched on subjects most would not touch with a ten foot pole.
Charlie had a show dedicated to MLK’s as a person and the embellishment of his character that have been told since the 60’s. Charlie wanted to show how the Civil Rights Act was a mistake. Charlie felt he had to tell the truth about MLK as it related to the CRA , not because he wanted to defame a Black hero, but because being truthful was imperative.
Of course some Blacks along with the communist left…(probably most on the left and maybe some right) would declare “racism” bla bla bla. I have not seen that show but I intend to search and try and find.
I have no doubt Charlie was right on this one because I have always heard MLK was a.. not so righteous guy.. and we have all witnessed how the CRA has led to reverse racism and other abuses.
Charlie put himself out there to rightfully correct the wrongs of our society and to proclaim the teachings of the Bible. Sadly this put him in harms way
I watched it and it was excellent, he had an MLK Jr. expert on of the black persuasion who really knew his facts.

I would add a stitch you might want to consider and add to your own thoughts which you expressed so well Ausonius.
As you touch on, the perversions (as well as many other actions) are centered on destroying families and if all else was equal, vastly reduce the population over time due to decreased average birth rates. Would also remind it has been going on for decades.
Now ponder this – why do they go out of their way to bring invaders into the very same nations and do everything in their power to enable them to have large families (through handouts, subsidies, and exempting them from many of the actions they focus on native populations)?
Why were none of the invaders required to be “immunized”? Why no “covid injections”? Why the long lines of pregnant women crossing the border at night and ushered into facilities and given the best of treatment – and not offered or pushed into killing their own?
Why the night and day differences in handling of the two groups (citizen vs invader)?
Note am not asking for a response – I have my own thoughts on the matter. Just something that if you haven’t already, you might consider how to weave into your own mental tapestry.
A very important aspect of this assassination, that has only so far been reported by Worldview Tube, is that Charlie Kirk was in South Korea the week before the UVU event.
He was helping South Korean Christians stand up against the ongoing Communist takeover of the government there.
He promised them that right after his event in Utah, he would turn his attention to helping them, including using his influence with President Trump to bring awareness to the government persecution they are experiencing.
The American ambassador to South Korea is a Biden holdover, because PDJT hasn’t been able to get his appointments through to this day.

Oh this is news. He made more people angry than we knew. The global communist agenda is already way too complicated and is really only useful for prosecutors and Intel to track. It’s absolutely not useful for conversations. The more eye-watering blather you spray in public or elsewhere, even if people are interested initially, the more you will be tuned out as a freak.
I’m not saying this isn’t specifically important somewhere at some point to someone, but it doesn’t look like the kinds of details which are relevant to understanding WHO killed Kirk.
Many of the announcements of Charlie being assassinated came as early as over 30 days prior to the event. If this “week prior” event was tied to it, it’s hard to see why.
Of course it’s true. Kirk was changing the minds of the youth and helping to politically re-align people all over. Absolutely understandable that it could lead to this in a general sense. But connecting this hit with that event given the much earlier indications that it was planned AT LEAST 30+ days in advance. I would have to score this as “low” in terms of how it fits in with a larger picture.
You make a good point about the communications hinting about the assassination being dated about 30 days before the event.
The purpose of my post was to identify a possible foreign government that would be highly (and recently) motivated to add its resources to the assassination. It may be a matter of both-and, not either-or.
We are all trying to learn the truth, how about we put all the puzzle pieces we can come up with in the hopper and see what we can come up with, instead of trying to shut people down by calling them freaks.

Having read JD Vance’s autobiography (and listening to his talk yesterday, I have a feeling Charlie’s assassination is probably the worst thing that has happened in his life. Remember, he was born in 1980. Think of everything prior to that and probably 5-10 years after as not in his memory.
In his book, the worst thing was his grandmother dying and his spending back from his current posting at the time. Several hundred miles, drove all night. Can’t remember if he got there in time. He was stopped by police in his speeding. He was wearing his Marine uniform. He told the cop what was happening. Cop said to be careful and there isn’t anyone between here and state line. Be careful when you cross into Kentucky or maybe it was Ohio.
I think the part of his commentary that makes me believe this is the worst thing was when he said call the employers. Yes, I want that to happen too and it’s fine for us to say and want that. But VPOTUS saying it made me think this got him to his core. Similar age as Charlie. He has a couple kids.

That should not have been said the way she said that. There is free speech. There are responsibilities to free speech. There can be consequences to what words a person decides to speak. The ones celebrating Charlie’s murder face the consequences of their free speech coming from their choice of words and the policies of their employers to not want those words and opinions spoken to the public by their employees as per their contracts.
IMO, Bondi should not have said what she just did. She sounds like one of the EU puppets.
I’m afraid that horse has already left the barn. We already have hate crime laws on the books. If a white man murders a black man then it’s murder, but if he calls him the N-word while he’s doing it it’s a hate crime too, and the punishment will be worse.
I’m not saying that I agree with that, in fact I think hate crime laws are unconstitutional.
Actually there is a definition for hate speech, however in this case threatening speech might have been a better descriptor as she is referring to those targeting people.

Now its bad enough that we have people getting shot for ANY reason, first off. This means debate and diplomacy is dying or close to death as we are.
Now I would propose its not Democrat assassination culture, its the WHOLE culture that is being permeated by the past and present United States federal government that is to blame.
Considering:
* If Charlie were one of the 11 people on the boat travelling from Venezuela to who knows where, then more people would be OK with it. To this date nobody knows who these people are or they dont tell us. People killed in “Piracy on the high Seas”, without any due process.
* If Charlie were in Gaza getting his house bulldozed and himself shot if he didnt leave, then seemingly more people would be OK with it
* If Charlie were one of the civilians being bombed in Qatar by Israel people would be more fine with it
* If Charlie were renting a hotel room in the same hotel as the nuclear Iranian scientist was residing people would be fine with a bomb falling on his head as “collateral damage”
Just pointing out the enormous hypocrisy here permeating from the US foreign policy and culture and then being suprised if it rubs off on domestic policy. This is what amazes me.
Now any man shot is one too many in my regard, and in democratic and “rules based order” one would expect to see at least due process and people having the right to public discourse and having their voice heard.
But what we seemingly get now is what looks to be indiscriminate bombing and collateral damage, if FOR ANY REASON someone somewhere does not agree.
If this example is being set, can anyone really be suprised? It’s not JUST the democrats.

Hate speech that crosses the line into threats of violence is NOT protected by the First Amendment. It’s a crime. For far too long, we’ve watched the radical left normalize threats, call for assassinations, and cheer on political violence. That era is over.
Under 18 U.S.C. § 875(c), it is a federal crime to transmit “any communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another.” Likewise, 18 U.S.C. § 876 and 18 U.S.C. § 115 make it a felony to threaten public officials, members of Congress, or their families.
You cannot call for someone’s murder. You cannot swat a Member of Congress. You cannot dox a conservative family and think it will be brushed off as “free speech.” These acts are punishable crimes, and every single threat will be met with the full force of the law.
Free speech protects ideas, debate, even dissent but it does NOT and will NEVER protect violence. It is clear this violent rhetoric is designed to silence others from voicing conservative ideals.
We will never be silenced. Not for our families, not for our freedoms, and never for Charlie. His legacy will not be erased by fear or intimidation.
So she is redefining an existing crime and calling it hate speech? That’s not going to muddy the waters or result in idiots reporting “hate speech” is it?

When the Left calls people enemies of the Republic, says they’re fascists, says they’re Nazis, says they’re evil, says they have to be removed, and then prints their addresses, what do you think they’re trying to do? They are trying to inspire someone to murder them. That is their objective. That is their intent.
And when you see online… as we’ve seen for the last few days, tape after tape after tape of Federal workers, bureaucrats, staffers in the Pentagon, educators, professors, healthcare workers, nurses, celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk? These are radicalized people! There’s a domestic terrorism movement in this country.
Then he shared Charlie Kirk’s last message to him: “We have to dismantle and take on the radical left organizations in this country that are fomenting violence.”
Miller continued: And we are going to do that under President Trump’s leadership. …I don’t care how.
