I am an Australian and woke this morning to the truly shocking news of Charlie Kirk’s murder. He was famous in my country for his traditional Christian world view of God, family and community. His voice has been heard around the world, not just in the US. He touched so much of the youth of America and the world and will be very sadly missed. May he rest in peace.

Charlie Kirk has always been for having conversations with those holding opposing views. This is what mature and stable people do.

I think that Charlie would have preferred something different for the evening news headlines, but given the evil that’s happened, he, I think, would hope that this tragic, hateful event would really become a “turning point” for this country.
The ability of people to stoke violence, to sanitize the aether with hopes for the death of people that they disagree with, simply because of that disagreement, has reached sickening levels. And the consequences of public violence, with politicians enacting no-cash bail regimes, and weak and corrupt judges having more sympathy for the criminals than the victims, dictate more incidences like this unless the great majority of Americans signal that they’ve had enough.
Their is room for righteous anger. A father and a husband should not have his life snuffed out because of words. So-called journalists should not feel free, less than an hour after his shooting, to begin smearing him as “divisive,” as if he simply lost a debate. A man’s earthly life is over, his children are left without a father, and this has to be more than an occasion to score cheap political shots at his expense.
We have to be angry, to draw a line in the sand, and let those who should know better know what we will and will not accept. But we cannot sin. The base cowards who lurk inside buildings and shoot from the dark are angry, and their anger leads them to sin. That is not us. But those among us who’ve felt comfortable for far too long to stoke political violence whose consequences they shield themselves from need to learn that their time is done.

My teen Grandson and his friends are so very angry. They followed him and loved him. They are chatting up a storm about what is coming next. No longer silent in the classrooms or anywhere. Their decrees will be mighty and powerful. No more listening silently to Woke Nonsense. They will speak up more like Charlie. Turning Point Indeed for the next generation.

I’m a 68 year old man, my heart is aching, and the tears are gushing for Charlie’s family, his organization, his friends, and our nation, all clutching for breath at the loss of such an amazing, innocent and outspoken person who celebrated Christianity, patriotism, conservative values, and most of all, liberty in Jesus Christ.
I’m praying, as I try to catch my breath. My consolation at this point, is that around two hours ago Charlie heard Jesus’s precious and rewarding words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

No words…the ONLY solace is Charlie now knows The Lord more than any of us, held in His loving arms, made perfect.

I had just finished praying a rosary for Charlie and was begging mother Mary to intercede for him when I got the word o f his death. I join millions in praying for his soul and his dear family and friends. I believe his legacy and message will live on in his legions of friends and followers in the pursuit of justice, truth and love of God and neighbor. Truth like a lion as they say will roar even louder now that Charlie has been yanked away from us by a cowardly murderer.
Let us all pick up the baton of faith and fight even harder for the truth that Charlie died for . Perhaps Charlie will even accomplish more from his perch in heaven now.
