just curious, since we’re all excited about throwing Massie under the bus… what do you think is his political calculus, from HIS perspective, that he gets out of all his “anti-trump” moves?
He’s playing the same both-sides preservation game that MTG is doing.
If things crash in 2026 and 2028 for Republicans, he’s positioning himself to be distanced and point fingers.
Can’t speak directly to what’s in his mind but I know Massie and MTG don’t take AIPAC money. They don’t have Israel foreign influence handlers.
The dispute likely can be summed up as America first, hemispheric defense vs. Israel special dispensation and a more globalist view.
He does take Bill Gates money though. Which is as bad or worse.

Putin’s Russia has India and China, 3 billion people (40% of the planet), 25 trillion in GDP, and many millions of battle ready soldiers and two hyper productive military economies.
North Korea’s attendance in Beijing and Kim’s loyalties to Russia on the front lines of battle were equally plain.

But having said we’re giving you this and then making the embarrassing reversal of course suggests there’s simply an element of this plot that we don’t know anything about.”

It’s funny, because I had the same first reaction to yesterday’s dueling jabs news items as did Jeff Childers. We are well and truly now into a Civil War level issue that is going to be primarily fought between the States.
The alignments are now evident.
In the one hand, there are states that follow the deontological view held by the framers of the Constitution, and most especially the writers of the Bill of Rights. Rights come from God, they include the right to life and bodily autonomy, and in a world view in which a genetically distinct body has rights, that means no abortion (no killing of any human who has rights, even when gestating), and freedom to ingest whatever treatments make sense to you (ivermectin), plus freedom from state mandated or socially coerced medical procedures (and we could have a very long discussion about the Nudges and Narratives that have been put into place over the last 30 years to coerce certain medical procedures, including especially the killing of the elderly).
You see those states lining up. Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and others.
Then there are the States that believe people are cattle to be managed, who have no inherent value because the controllers there do not believe in a creator God who has His own rules. In that mental landscape, the world of The Giver prevails.
Killing old people is a social mercy, killing unborn children enhances productivity and female self-esteem, and vaccinations and any other medical procedures can be mandated (see the 9th Circuit’s decision in Carvalho, vastly EXPANDING the SCOTUS ruling in Jacobson to allow ANY procedure a state government might deem to benefit “public health.”. And also, since everyone is just a body, not only can you kill that body a month after birth, you can also have a situation where it is just fine for adults to have sex with kids (both of which are the current state of affairs in California).
Here you have California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Maryland and others.
The issue that Jeff foresees, and I do too, is the same as with the basic moral conflict over the movement of human bodies during slavery. Once Texas starts charging people shipping abortion drugs to Texas with crimes or levies civil penalties, and once Minnesota offers ” refuge” to confused children from Texas so they can mutilate their bodies while still an unemancipated minor . . .
The situation becomes civilly unsustainable as a unified country.

Instead of heeding Justice Goursach’s warning about defying the Supreme Court, liberal district judges are anonymously whining about their unconstitutional rulings and national wide injuctions being overturned. It is now a full blown judicial revolt by the inferior courts. The liberals respect nothing. Oh they are worried about only their own safety if they don’t get their way, but all the violence is from the left. Chief Justice Roberts certainly exacerbated this with his improper statement about President Trump. President Trump was 100% correct these judges need to be removed.

You knew that Trump’s actions would systematically force this issue. The “No Kings” people probably expected him to have followed in the footsteps of Jackson and Lincoln, but he never has. (Yet!) This is driving the questions back to the Judiciary itself, and compelling them to confront them. Eventually, Congress (which created all courts other than the SCOTUS) will have to act also.
I am specifically in favor of abolishing the “DC Circuit.” A single City does not need its own Circuit, and in the specific case of “DC” it could never be fair. It will always be a political bludgeon. Cases arising in the city can be handled round-robin by other Circuits, visiting existing courtrooms in the City as required.
I agree but Congress would have to do that and it will never happen. Members of Congress need a corrupt DC District Court to hid their criminality!!! Nothing will come of any crimes committed against President Trump inside the corrupt DC District purposely loaded with obama/AutoPen Judges! I call it Judge & Jury nullification!!! JMO
I agree DC should not have a district or appeals court. I looked there are 94 district courts, at least one in each state. Each state should have one district court and each territory also has one so the max should be 54. No district judge should be able to issue an injuction outside their district. That would stop judge shopping and limited access would stop frivolous lawsuits like we are seeing against President Trump.

I watched about 15 minutes of Bernie and Pocahontas questioning RFK. It was disgusting, they would ask him a question and when he tried to answer they would talk over the top of him loudly and angerly with their pre-written diatribe and calling for him to resign. In the entire time they never let him answer one question. All Pocahontas could say is in the confirmation hearing you promised and then add things he never promised. They fool no one we all know about the money they get from big healthcare and big Pharma.
