I think his using that location shows Pritzker is so hated by Illinois citizens, that he had to choose a location that he controls (by allowing and profiting from illegal drug business). Otherwise, the video would have surely captured one of the many normal Chicagoans who have gone on record saying they’re city is unsafe and they welcome the National Guard.

My guess is that President Trump sees there is no agreement remotely possible between Zelinskyy and Putin. Given that, he has no alternative to letting the war continue, with Russia eventually dictating terms.

Doug sometimes annoys me with his pessimism/realism but I think he is right in this discussion about much of the geopolitics.
