Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 226 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

That was a very successful surgery…he is going home in less than a week. Many advances have made that trend, possible. As a newbie in nursing, the trend in Dallas, was longer than a 3 week stay in the hospital.

I’ve known so many people now that get new knees, new hips and it’s not easy but it’s sure nothing compared to what it used to be.

I also wonder about how the insurance industry works when there is a wreck…does the truck and their insurance company pay for the emergency response, sheriffs deputies, state troopers, EMS/paramedics, road crew clean up, infrastructure evaluation if a bridge is hit (which also happened about 3 months ago on I-80)…then all the air traffic from the various news agencies…
Again, I imagine the wheeling and dealing along with finger pointing, is a lengthy and costly legal expense. Does the end user ultimately pay that expense?
So, it would seem that the real concern at present…is financial loss in the insurance industry?

(The manifest describes the value of products being shipped, which sets the insurance rates on damage. This is also why “de minimus rule” stuff can slip through the cracks, and undervaluing goods can save insurance premiums)
So the driver may be a subcontractor to the shipping company, or an employee. A quick stat says 16% of trucking in the US are owner-operators, and 95% of trucking companies are 10 trucks or less. That’s a lot of “small businesses” providing shipping services, regardless. So let’s say subcontractor where the small business carries the insurance.
A small business can go bankrupt and dissolve if hit with a large expense, and the insurance companies know it. So they are more likely to charge high premiums to the small businesses, so everyone has a higher cost just to participate. A quick google says owner-operators face up to $22,000/year in insurance, while a leased vehicle from a small operator could cost $8,000/year. That’s probably because a bank could seize multiple trucks in a bankruptcy.
Overall, my guess is that the entire industry is eating the cost in insurance for the increased costs of accidents and emergency response, and those costs are being passed to the consumer in costs of goods. Transportation ALWAYS passes on costs, so a slice of our “inflation” at the store is paying for these increased insurance costs. It’s another example of how costs, induced by lack of government oversight in WHO is transporting our goods, can creep into our end use retail prices.

Odd how it used to be that the Italians, Irish, Greeks, Russians, Polish, Cubans, Israelis, and everyone else coming in through Ellis Island all had to learn English. Until 2-4 decades ago suddenly those coming in from the south weren’t “smart” enough to learn English so WE needed to learn Spanish in order to communicate with them.
Many have escaped the need to learn English due to all the bilingual education programs and all the taxpayer funded free translators etc. Instead of creating a situation where foreigners would need to learn English, a situation has been created that enables them.

The department as a whole is critically short of officers, except in exempt and management positions. They can’t seem to get enough recruits to have a class at the academy.
City is in a deep financial problem with no one that will make the cuts that need to be made.

I see over on Truth Social there are posts about Pope Leo talking about doing something about the “pandemic of arms” – does he mean doing something like in Australia? My child just graduated from a Catholic HS here in the PNW, I have attended (and read the entire Catechism) but not a member (husband still is, but generally attends with me elsewhere).

Diana Davison, a Canadian legal researcher who specializes in defending those falsely accused in the criminal justice system (especially men falsely accused of rape and other sexual crimes), did something no one else did: She watched the entire video. What she discovered is that the video as a whole puts the lie to the whole “grab ‘em by…” charge leveled against Trump.
Over the course of 20 minutes, Davison goes through the entire video practically frame by frame, starting with that bus conversation and then following Trump as he gets off the bus and enters the Access Hollywood set. Near the end of Davison’s dissection of Trump’s conduct, she reaches this conclusion (beginning at 18:00; emphasis mine):

In another post from Peter Borbe, he writes:
“4 AfD candidates died within 2 weeks during the NRW local elections: Wolfgang Seitz (Rheinberg), Ralph Lange (Blomberg), Stefan Berendes (Bad Lippspringe), Wolfgang Klinger (Schwerte), all 4 died suddenly and unexpectedly. An astonishing accumulation of deaths, isn’t it?”
Despite concerns expressed on social media, not much is known about the circumstances of the deaths of the four candidates other than they died “unexpectedly,” which means none of them died from a long battle with cancer, for example.
As of yet, nobody has provided any evidence that the AfD candidates died from anything other than natural causes. In addition, there does not appear to have been any police investigations launched into the deaths of any four of the individuals.

A North Carolina grand jury this week indicted a Canadian citizen for registering and voting in the United States’ 2022 and 2024 elections — ending a long run of illegal voting that goes back two decades, prosecutors say.
The charges are federal felonies that carry prison terms upon conviction.
According to the indictment cited by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of North Carolina, Denis Bouchard, 69, a resident in the Wilmington area, falsely claimed to be a United States citizen eligible to vote in federal elections.
The 2022 and 2024 elections in the federal indictment were allegedly the most recent violations in a long string of illegal voting by Bouchard in Hanover and Pender County elections for the past 20 years, prosecutors said.
Bouchard, prosecutors said, has resided in the United States since the 1960s, coming to the U.S. as a child, but never obtained U.S. citizenship.

Chief US District Judge James Boasberg, appointed by President Barack Obama, released Nathalie Rose Jones, a 50-year-old Big Apple resident, under electronic monitoring on Aug. 27 and ordered that she see a psychiatrist once back home, court documents revealed.
The surprise release comes just days after US Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya denied Jones bond over the persistent threats on Trump’s life she issued over social media earlier this month.

The partnership between Palintir and the federal government raises fundamental questions about accountability in a data driven state. Who decides how these tools are used? Who can challenge a decision that was made by software, especially if that software is proprietary? Without clear rules and independent oversight [even WITH THAT as it has too often been shown to be FICTIONAL – W], there is a risk that Palintir’s technology becomes normalized as a default mode of governance. They could be used not only to track suspected criminals or terrorists, but also, and here’s where my concerns came in, to manage migration flows, monitor and suppress protests, and enforce public health measures. The concern is not that these data integration capabilities exist, but that government agencies could use them in ways that undermine civil liberties without public consent.

FedEx is sharing its surveillance feeds with local law enforcement as part of an AI car surveillance network, Forbes has reported, with two police departments sharing their camera feeds to the shipping giant’s own police force.
The company has reportedly installed AI-powered cameras on its trucks made by Flock Safety to monitor its facilities. Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee and Pittsboro Police Department in Indiana have also granted the FedEx Air Carrier Police Department access to their Flock license plate readers.
The report has sparked concerns over the mass surveillance network. “It raises questions about why a private company… would have privileged access to data that normally is only available to law enforcement,”said Jay Stanley, senior policy analyst, American Civil Liberties Union.
While FedEx spokesperson Phalisha Jackson said the company does not discuss its security procedures publicly, it takes its staff’s safety “very seriously.”
Flock has similar arrangements with other multi-billion dollar companies, including Simon Property Group (SPG) and Lowe’s (LOW), which share mall feeds with local cops to combat shoplifting.
Kaiser Permanente, the largest health insurer in the U.S., has also shared data from Flock’s license plate readers with the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center, according to the report.
Flock, valued at over $4B in an Andreessen Horowitz-led fundraising round in 2023, previously ran into issues with law enforcement over installing AI-powered license plate readers without approval.

All that will accomplish is cost a lot of money and reduce the function of the command over the transition period.
It also moves the HQ significantly closer to the Gulf despite the stated fact that we have no defense against low flying cruise missiles and the fact that even we have demonstrated the use of hidden cruise missiles and launchers inside shipping containers and warned about the Chinese doing the same.
