My recollection is that he was skeptical of Big Pharma pre-2017. Story came out about him taking his first flu shot ever in 2017, was unwelcome news to the anti-hemlock…errr…anti-vax crowd that thought he was an ally. In his first term, President Trump had expressed concerns on the campaign trail about a link between vaccines and autism in children, and after he won, he talked about appointing RFK Jr as a vaccine czar to investigate it. There was a hue and outcry from the establishment about Bobby being a fringe anti-vax fanatic (sound familiar?) and PT caved and ghosted RFK Jr, much to Bobby’s frustration.

The that has been plaguing everyone is that doctors are indoctrinated in medical school to believe that vaccines are safe and effective. Doctors are indoctrinated to believe that flying viruses exist, and that the bacteria and fungi that are on or inside our bodies are there to attack us. We were taught that germ theory had been proven to be true.
I am a retired MD and during COVID i found out about this indoctrination because I had the free time to look everything up and do research on it all. I found out that virology is a pseudoscience, in that there are no studies that purport to prove the existence of a virus that use the scientific method. They all lack valid control studies thus they do not prove what they say they prove. Also I found out that germ theory has actually been found to be false. Bacteria, for example are not the cause of infection, anymore than a fireman is the cause of a fire because firemen are found at fires. Bacteria and fungi have a purpose to deal with dead and dying cells and remove them from the body.

So if the vast majority of doctors in the US would tell President Trump that viruses exist and vaccines are safe and effective, it would be reasonable for Trump to assume what he did was the right thing. Remember only a few doctors had the courage to realize that the vax was not safe and not effective and to speak up publicly, usually losing their license to practice medicine as a result.
If only a few doctors could do this, and they lost their licenses, how should Trump know that they are the ones to listen to?
So you see, we have a problem in terms of chronic health in the US and the problem is that doctors are wedded to Big Pharma much more than they realize. It is Big Pharma that controls the curriculum in Medical schools, (as a result of their large donations), and they make sure doctors know what these pharmaceutical companies WANT THEM TO KNOW,. Doctors have become handmaidens of Big Pharma, just as the regulatory agencies have, such as FDA, CDC, NIAID, NIH, etc.
I would say the vast majority of doctors have no idea that they are basically fancy and well paid drug reps. Doctors think they spent all the time in medical school learning scientific facts, but this is not the case, and doctors are extremely unwilling to consider the possibility that they have been wrong. Because for a doctor to be really wrong, usually means patients have suffered or died as a result of their being wrong.
I bet if any of you ask any doctor what they think of the COVID vax the doctor will say it saved lives and was safe.

I could not agree with you more. It has also been my observation that more recently the doctors seem very ideologically aligned, which makes me wonder if that isn’t a more of a qualifying
factor for acceptance into med school than high intellect. They just don’t seem to be as curious as you are, to want to really understand rather than just push pills to mask symptoms.
You forgot to mention that they give vaccines because the insurance companies and hospitals often require them to show an acceptable percentage of their patients are vaccinated.
I’ve had two former medical school faculty members tell me that there is next to no critical thinking involved in medical education and that most doctors aren’t critical thinkers; rather, they just accept whatever they are told.
After many years in hospital administration, I am 100% convinced the vast majority are individuals who were able to successfully memorize the necessary materials to pass the exams…period. As you say, no critical thinking or even in many cases the curiosity to question what is being fed to them.
Even afterwards, in practice, they rely on the pharmaceutical reps for much of their info. Think about that one!

HCQ has been used safely and very inexpensively in Africa for decades…we used it as part of our daily routine as Peace Corps Volunteers in the early 60’s. The big clue for me during the whole Covid fiasco was when you couldn’t get it.

My husband unfortunately took both Pfizer jabs several months later had profuse night sweats, several months later had a syncope episodes and later diagnosed with AFib. Had ablation and during procedure had a Cardiac Tamponed with drain inserted in pericardium to drain blood . Thank God he is ok today. I am a retired ICU:CCU nurse
