So far we’ve had a cooler summer, praise God! The las couple of days it really heated up in the middle of the day and early afternoon but then storms cooled the air down. Friday they went just east of us but the temperature still dropped down to the high seventies, and yesterday a cell formed right on top of us and just stayed there raining. We got 2 inches in a little over a couple of hours. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻The garden is very happy and so am I because today is my day to water it. 😁
Today after church we have our daughter, son in law, and Miss V and her brother coming. Also, Nipper and his mama, and maybe our 25 yo granddaughter and her fiancée will make an appearance from Houston. Got the vino ready and will be cooking burgers as soon as we get back from church. ❤️😘
Good morning, dear brother…the AC is still operational, thank goodness. But there are leaks in the coils inside and out. We had to decide whether to have our very good HVAC company try to replace or repair those and hope for the best, or bite the bullet. Given the age of our units, well past their projected life, we chose to go ahead and replace the whole lot and kaboodle. Ugh…but in the long run wiser I think. Last month’s electricity bill was too astronomical. Shouldn’t have been for 83 am/81 night. And we compared it to Caroline’s. She has her temp set way lower and her bill was nowhere near to ours…it was time. Still and again, UGH!!

My electric bill for last month was $300. I cool the house with a single 18k btu window unit in the kitchen which easily keeps the kitchen, dining room, living room, and my central bedroom quite comfortable. . Basically it runs from June to October +/-. I also have a small 5k window unit in my tiny detached “casita” I use as a study.
Ours was about that as well, Garrison. With AI exploding, something tells me these sorts of exorbitant bills are going to be the norm.

Little ‘Tink was sitting beside my chair so I reached down and gave her s little head rub. She responded with a quiet purr and began giving my hand loving kitty rubs. As long as I kept my hand there she gave me head rubs. This is such a wonderfully gentle way for her to show her affection for me. Some might say she just wanted a munchie . . . I choose to believe the former, thank you very much. Good kitty. . . 🙂

We always just called them dust storms when I was a kid in Arizona, and they could be nasty.
The back door of our house did not fit as tight as it should have, Dad said he would get around to fixing it.
When one of the dust storms hit my mom would roll up a wet bath towel and lay it out up against the bottom of the door to cover the open bit.
We were away from home one day when a dust storm hit.
When we got back there was a huge pile of dust, about a foot high and just as wide, that had been pushed inside by the wind.
Mom was not happy.
Dad fixed the door the next day.

The President arrives and thousands are being ‘warmed up’ by his people about “the Zionist Enemy and how it wronged them and they should defeat the Zionists.” Have no error, the President of Syria is Al Qaeda. So . . . when does a Hamas military unit deconstruct itself. It does this when the IDF demonstrates its incredible reach, killing even well hidden and protected leaders. As this process goes on, the “unit” itself suffers losses which are not replaced. Fewer and fewer soldiers are part of the military unit.
As the unit loses cohesion due to loss of fighters, the remaining members begin to change their definition of themselves. There comes a point where there are so few left that they stop identifying themselves as fighting men . . . instead they think of themselves as refugees (look at surrendering German soldiers photos from WWII).
When this happens the hostages become essentially worthless and, indeed, their presence represents real danger for the refugee Hamas soldiers. There is more utility in letting the captives go than killing them in acts of vengeance. Hamas ceases to exist.

Now, I want to talk about after you have peak experience, the “deflation, down feelings that come after the “PEAK” experience.
It happens to everybody! Artists, Politians, Soldiers, Street Sweepers, … and understand GOD does LOVE all of you, and sometimes “steps in”, … your prayers are heard, and your deep desires are heard, and the “under your breath” silent “asking GOD to help you, or “get you out of this situation” are HEARD!
But it is after “GOD did HIS thing for you”, you come back down, to your tiny ego self. And brother is it a LETDOWN. You want that “amazing feeling” to be with you. At this point, so many of you turn to drugs/booze/sex/food/dangerous activities to get the “buzz back”. The expression back in the 1950’s was SUNDAY church go-ers getting out of 1 hour sermon and they are racing like mad-men to get home in their cars. Well, … there are plenty of other more current expressions of this. ROCK BANDS who got nervous before going on stage and “under their breath asked GOD to “help me”, or football players asking for “help” in the game. There are many humans that ask for “help”, more than you can imagine. So understand , getting the mammon “fix” after the game, concert, event … has to be looked at IN YOUR LIFE! You need to understand … and pray about it A LOT!
What happens after GOD steps OUT of you, … I just want you to think back over your life, … what do you do to come down from that. And ask GOD to help you come back to “earth”, in a way that is helpful and not destructive.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

Lest we act the fool appear to be weak
We might have much in common with the others
But we walk not in the shoes of our brothers
Their gifts and talents come only from God
To those not blessed might appear to be odd
He speaks in tongues unfamiliar to Thee
But to someone present clear as can be
He talks to God and shares what He revealed
You laugh at him but someone has been healed
You claim his message from God must be untrue
Because God does not talk to either he or you
Anybody can guess what might happen
With his vast intellect he can tap in
He does not need God to figure it out
Wanna be prophets we can do without
Judge not your sisters or your brothers
By any measure or any others
When it comes time to stand before God
Will your words and deeds give you His nod

All nature in our rural part of the area we lived in knew where we were. I think of all the things I miss about our home there, it was our beautiful garden which we miss the most.
