The Libya collapse destabilized much of Africa north and south of the Sahara. That was the first big wave of Muslim “refugees” flooding into Europe.
The second wave was the attempted overthrow of Bashar Assad of Syria. That made HALF the population of Syria into displaced persons. Millions of them ended up in Europe.
In BOTH those situations Russia was the ally of the country being targeted for destabilization. Russia tried to stop the destabilization. Europe pushed the destabilization.
Europe “won” by destabilizing both countries and their surrounding regions, but lost by getting flooded by the millions of migrants made into refugees by European (and US) meddling.

How was Russia responsible for this? Weak governments and open door policies are the problem plus allowing asylum seekers without proper vetting. Why did asylum seekers not apply from the first countries they reached after fleeing from home but travel thousands of miles across many borders before applying? Why do they keep moving till they find the country with the most freebies? If these people had to submit to a no work no support policy many would not come.
How can one maintain a straight face through this?

If you are watching the EU leadership lately, you will get the feeling that they are starting to falter in their behavior and Putin is well aware of it. When they had the backing of US feckless leaders it was very easy for them to walk around feeling veery strong. Now that the US backing is becoming less and less they are emotionally falling apart. They now know that Putin doesn’t fear wwhat they have to say.
