Circ ’90’s…first Bears game of the season, my VW Jetta was broken into, a very nice Grundig radio was pryed out of the dashboard. Before the first down, ER staff were picking glass out of the perp’s two hands…Security would not make a police report. Nor would they call the local cops, I had to do that. Am guessing they were too busy watching the game somewhere…it was then, I realized that hospital and university security was there for the safety of the facility and its property.
The joke was on the perp…unless the radio was removed in a certain manner, the radio fried itself and would never work again…LOL. Prying it out of the dashboard did not ensure continued function.

“The local major hospital institute has told all of their employees that they are forbidden to speak out about anything related to this toxic spill. They are not allowed to do interviews, they are not allowed to go on camera, write quotes or comment about anything going on. Experts from the local community have been told, ‘Do not speak, this is not your business this is the business of the federal government, the state government, and the railroad company,” Moore said. “They all received emails and work calls. Some of them have inquired about speaking and they were told to keep out of it.”
While local news affiliates like WKBN promoted MyID, journalists have yet to question local authorities about why these biometric monitoring devices were distributed in preparation for a “major disaster” a week before the major disaster.
“The local news that covered MYID isn’t mentioning MyID in their news reports about the train derailment,” Moore said. “Have they been monitoring the results of these bracelets and not telling us? Have people considered what the real intent of the federal government is coming in here and giving you these bracelets? In hindsight, after what’s happened, do you find it suspicious? I find it oddly suspicious.”

Over 50 years ago, I attempted to obtain a position as a teacher at Department of Defense school at one of our bases in Germany, as I was a fledgling German teacher (among other subjects, Latin, Ancient Greek, and Ancient, Medieval, and Modern History) and thought it would be a great opportunity to improve my speaking abilities.
I discovered, however, that obtaining such a position was a rigged game!
I meticulously checked the job postings on bulletin boards at Federal offices and at the local universities.
Every time a D.O.D. teacher opening was posted, the deadline for applications to be received was…the next day!!!
It became obvious that somebody on the inside already had the job, or somebody on the inside would be hiring a relative or the son or daughter of a friend, etc.
Later this inbred atmosphere was verified by a classmate, who very much wanted to get into government as a Conservative, but had to have strings pulled by his connections in the Air Force, and then attend graduate school at a certain East Coast university, in order to obtain a position as an analyst in foreign affairs, first in the D.O.D. and then later in the State Department.
He discovered during the Reagan and Bush I administrations that the bureaucracy was completely corrupted by nepotism, cronyism, and ideology.
However, as I pointed out to him, he should have recognized this, because his own entry into the government had depended upon “knowing the right people” and having them “pull strings” for his entry into the government.
His career collapsed, when Billy Jeff Clinton got into the White House.
Sons, daughters, and other relatives and friends received positions, and marriages occurred in the bureaucracy, much resembling the old aristocratic families of Europe, who married among themselves, eventually producing blue-blooded morons, e.g. Prince/King Charles right now.
In the last century, therefore, probably starting with the New Deal bureaucracy, an entrenched class of proto/crypto-Communists began to grow in size and in power, a close-knit group increasingly conscious that they could control the direction of government.
By the time of the first Nixon administration, it was obvious that the bureaucrats were interested only in their own agenda, as Nixon himself lamented that having his policies carried out or enforced by the bureaucracy was the hardest thing he faced.
William F. Buckley once suggested in the 1960’s or 1970’s that the inbred nature of D.C.’s bureaucrats could be broken up simply by packing up whole departments and distributing them throughout the country.
Put the Department of Labor e.g. in Ohio or Indiana and the Department of Agriculture in North Dakota. A good number would quit and local people in those states could be hired…or you could save the money and NOT replace them at all!

Base jobs often are prioritized for retired military and active duty military spouses and adult children I think that makes sense.
It used to be openly said that to get a job in State you had to have attended one of five universities. They opened that up a little over the years when they wanted to hire more non-white FSOs. But it was an accepted fact for many years. It’s still much easier to get into State if you have the right school or human connections.
DoD is completely different. It is huge and often favors former military, but still has so many employment opportunities that if you meet the qualifications and apply enough times you will get a job. It often takes multiple interviews for multiple jobs in an agency to get an offer. The Feds are also notorious for how long they take to call for an interview. It can take months and months to get the interview call and a weirdly longtime to get an offer of employment if selected.
They get so many applicants for fed jobs and are required by law to favor veterans, ethnic minorities, and former or current federal employees. Add to that, they are required by law to advertise jobs they already have decided to hire a current employee for that it can seem like it’s all a scam.
You are correct, it’s a scam. You have couples drawing two retired military pensions, two civil service pensions, social security, and likely a military disability by the time they call it quits. All perfectly legal. And their sons and daughters all have Federal jobs. It’s really an industry.

The roughly 6,000 visas that were pulled were primarily due to visa overstays or encounters with the law, including assault, DUIs, burglary and support for terrorism, the State Department told Fox News Digital.
“Every single student visa revoked under the Trump Administration has happened because the individual has either broken the law or expressed support for terrorism while in the United States,” a senior State Department official said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “About 4,000 visas alone have been revoked because these visitors broke the law while visiting our country, including records of assault and DUIs.”
Those who had their student visas yanked due to assault — roughly 800 students — either faced arrest or charges stemming from assault, according to the State Department official.
Those whose visas were pulled due to support for terrorism — between 200 people to 300 people — engaged in behavior such as raising funds for the militant group Hamas, which the U.S. State Department has designated as a terrorist organization, the official said.
Altogether, the State Department told Fox News Digital that approximately 40,000 visas have been pulled in 2025, in comparison to the 16,000 that were revoked during the same time frame under the Biden administration.
“Even if the previous administration was doing less, they were still revoking visas,” the State Department official said. “It’s not something that just started on January 20 … So this has happened for years.” …….

I’ve suggested before (to anyone in the Administration reading CTH) having the President ask for the resignations of all 3 and 4-star flag officers. All of them. No reason is needed. That’s how it works in the armed forces. Take the crop of 1 and 2-star flags and start screening for promotion. And if they can’t qualify then fire them, too. The bench in the military is deep, very deep. Yes, we like to associate rank with responsibility, but it doesn’t have to be that way. You can have a colonel commanding a division. Shoot, Eisenhower was a colonel in 1941 and five-stars by 1944. My point is clear out the rot now, and then grow your flag officer corps anew. It can be done.
Is anyone in the gubmint going to start to use USC 8 to arrest and prosecute anyone harboring or helping illegals in any way? If it is being used, I have missed reading anything about it. I’m not a lawyer but USC 8 seems pretty straightforward to me.

Are Oil Sanctions on Russia a good idea? Lot’s of military experts on FOX think so but what are the consequences for us!
Russia is a major oil-producing country in OPEC. Any sanctions on Russian oil would send world oil prices soaring in the United States. Heating oil and gasoline prices here would skyrocket causing inflation to rise and along with them interest rates on car loans and mortgages!
All the more reason to drill baby drill and become independent of OPEC’s artificial pricing of crude oil. We were meeting our own demand and starting to export oil in 2019 before the election steal of 2020. Gasoline was at approximately $1.87 per gallon in 2019.
We already have sanctions on direct import of Russian oil and some indirect sanctions and our gasoline and diesel prices are dropping in the USA. Prices should continue to drop as more reserves and new wells are brought on line.

U.S. imports less than 8% of its oil and gas from OPEC, and otherwise, some crude from Canada and Mexico. U.S. became energy independent in 2019 during Trump’s first term and an exporter. Not sure what they are carrying on about.

a man, born in the United States, in 1950, whose father was a Nicaraguan diplomat at the time of his birth, and the man, having lived his entire live in the United States – has been denied Birthright Citizenship.
Bet this gets appealed to the Supreme Court and perhaps added to the upcoming birthright citizenship lawsuit expected to be heard in the Court’s next term.
Diplomats were always excluded, as far as I know.
The sad thing is, the man, who was born to the diplomat in 1950, has never lived anywhere else but in the United States. That said, am truly surprised it was the 9th Circuit court that actually upheld the law, both the word and the spirit of the law as set out by the 14th Amendment.
That said, this particular ruling feeds right into the lawsuit about birthright citizenship which will be in front of this terms U.S. Supreme Court sitting, so figure it’s a set up for the court to either reaffirm the 14th Amendment or rule it invalid if they take into consideration the man, now 75, to garner sympathy and use that as an excuse to declare birthright citizenship is okay.

According to Nouripour, the EU Commission President was kicked out of the room because the American politicians do not regard her as an elected head of a state.
