Over 300 million Americans could care less about the Kennedy Center. No one would dare let regular folk step foot in the place, that’s number one. Number two, it’s in Washington DC, which no one is vying to go to.
If President Trump wants to promote the arts, how about a Kennedy Center in a lot of different States across the country; i.e., The Kennedy Center at Nashville, The Kennedy Center at Topeka.
And the same with the Smithsonian Museum…The Smithsonian at Atlanta, etc. My understanding is there are numerous items at the Smithsonian that have been boxed up for decades. These items could be displayed in their new homes in other States. Much like the Titanic and King Tut exhibits that toured(ing) the country, these exhibits could be displayed in the various Smithsonian State sites.
The Kennedy Center has many free events that anybody can attend. Regular folks.

Lots of Americans visit DC every day, all year round. Maybe most Americans go there at some point, on a school field trip, to go sightseeing, or to see a congressman.
You don’t have to spend any money to see a lot of the places in DC.
The various Smithsonian museums are all free and open to the public.
But I agree that if the museums have warehouses full of stuff, they ought to lend it out all over the country. It all belongs to us.

My whole point is if you want to encourage an interest in the arts, it needs to be promoted outside DC.
Most people do not have funds to go to DC, where they may get mugged or murdered, to visit these places. DC is no longer the shining City on the Hill..the Demoncrats have made it a shithole city.
Most Americans do NOT go to DC. The last time a large amount of Americans went to DC (January 6th anyone?) they were locked up in the gulag for years.
They should have different names associated with the arts. Like the Hunter Biden center.
