I’m trying to present both sides of what I believe to be a political game being run by Pam Bondi and Kash Patel.
In this interview with Chris Cuomo, journalist Matt Taibbi says current FBI/DOJ officials are telling him they are trying to get big indictments against key Russiagate conspirators. It sounds like Taibbi and Solomon have the same “top level” sources within the DOJ and FBI. WATCH:
My suspicion, based on listening to Taibbi’s knowledge of Russiagate, is that he’s being intentionally misled (ie. played) by his sources. John Solomon is almost certainly a direct participant the FBI/DOJ narrative engineering for institutional self-interest; however, I do not think Taibbi is.

Even if indictments were sought in Florida, the statute of limitations has run on the charges and trying to piece together some type of RICO action against the perpetrators would be extremely difficult.

Technically, once a ‘regular’ officer (as opposed to a reserve officer), you are always an officer. It’s a matter of where you are ‘serving.’ An active duty officer is, of course, on active duty. A retired officer remains on the rolls of his respective service, but has been placed on the retired roll. A retired officer can be recalled to active duty at any time. In fact, when you retire, your final evaluation will include a sentence recommending to what rank you will be when you are returned to active service. I’m not a military judge advocate. Clapper, while a retired Regular Air Force officer, plotted against the Commander in Chief. If not while DNI, then when he signed that letter with fifty other former intel folks stating the Hunter Biden Laptop story was Russian disinformation.
Clapper is a retired USAF General Officer. His status as “retired, eligible for retired pay” means that technically he is still serving in a reduced capacity.
He is explicitly subject to UCMJ.

The SoL would be determined if it was a conspiracy that continued through the Biden years. If it was one ongoing conspiracy, the beginning date wouldn’t necessarily be determinative, nor would the end of the second impeachment. I understand why most people here are pessimistic about anyone being held accountable for this long running conspiracy. Of past history is an indication of future performance I would tend to agree. The one difference I see this time is that President Trump knows that if he doesn’t take down all these people permanently, he and his family will not survive 12 months once out of office.
They attempted to keep him from winning his first time by concocting the Russian hoax conspiracy. When that didn’t work they continued the conspiracy through hos entire term. They also illegally impeached him twice.
Once out of office, they attempted to put him in prison for the rest of his life as well as trying to bankrupt him.
They then stole the 2020 election through the continuation of the conspiracy.
While running for his second term in 2024 they tried to assassinate him twice.
They tried to steal the 2024 election but failed this time.
They have left no doubt what they will do to him and his family if they get another chance.
He is not a stupid man and his life is at stake.
This has been a continuous ongoing conspiracy and there is no statute of limitations on that.

what are the reasons that the Trump people would not seek real convictions and indictments? this is what I can think of:
1. they believe in institutions and dont want to hurt the institutions.
2. they fear payback in a later administration

Is all of the above a choice? My estimate is the President is getting conflicting advice from all his official advisors, thus the seeming inaction and sometimes confusion.
In the end President Trump decides. He will do it with counsel from his family. It will then come down to government implementation, and that’s when heads will roll at DOJ/FBI and elsewhere for not following orders.
All of the above seems a reasonable choice.

Democrats allegedly committed money laundering in Ukraine, and they were afraid Trump might uncover it. Ultimately, it’s about hiding a crime and clinging to power at any cost.

Ron Johnson was just on Solomon’s show saying how terribly frustrating it is that the limitations periods have run on all this so no one will be held accountable, but we can expose all the miscreants to the public and that will learn ’em. He even stated that maybe they can have a “trial” in the Senate where all of the information is laid out for the American public to see! (Oh,please, not that, the horror, the horror, cries John Brennan). Then he parted (such sweet sorrow) with an extended congratulations exchanged with John on how great they are at bringing these issues to the public. Now I feel much better.
I wouldn’t presume to contradict Sundance’s take on things. I completely understand the cynicism about indictments and real accountability for what amounts to a soft coup against a duly elected US President. I also would not pretend to know the law or legal technicalities that exist like land mines and could destroy any one or all of the cases against the conspirators.
But I will ask, if not now, when? Donald Trump has accomplished many great things in 1+ term but all those achievements and any lasting legacy he hopes to achieve will be for naught if indictments aren’t pursued. He is the one that has opened this Pandora’s Box and ultimately he will be the one history judges. We can cast side eyes and Suspicious Cats at Bondi and/or Kash but they ultimately answer to Trump. Sundance has taught us well about IC Silos and the Great Pretending…but Trump is still the man in charge. Failure to follow this path all the way through will crush MAGA, lead to another round of Dem Congressional control, and destroy any chance of a lasting legacy for PDJT.
I understand the odds are long, and the process slow, but I’ve seen things from Trump the last 10 years that defy description. I still believe that he wouldn’t be pursuing this path if he didn’t see a winning goal at the end. I still believe Trump can bring accountability to these traitors.

I am so *blessed* tired (trying to be polite here) of these *expletives* playing games!
We’d all love to be wrong but it seems apparent nobody gives a flying you-know-what about what we think.
Nobody’s got the stomach for it, but I still say there should be a serious conversation about how the old western movie plot goes, where the people have had enough. Watch “Open Range” for free on youtube. Not exactly an “old” western but a veritable mythological treatment of how regular folks dealt with “the bad guys” when they finally had a bellyful.
A sincere conversation here would be seen by the right people — it could be treated as an historical review. I believe many “big” people on both sides follow not only the main writings but the comments, because it’s like a constantly running EKG of the country.
Plenty of examples to discuss. A cursory reading of the French Revolution is more than most people can bear. Our own Revolution was ugly business, but the French turned it up a few notches. Yes, it went too far—but the point is not how it ended so much as how it moved and happened and the mayhem that ensued. And yeah, nobody in power was spared, if I remember correctly. Why? Because they didn’t care what little people thought. The bad guys took one too many steps down a bad path and the people erupted, and the streets literally ran with blood.
Our “good guys” know this history, and they don’t want to see it happen, either. They understand there are better ways to resolve this stuff.
Somebody, somewhere must grow a spine if this country is to be saved. It ain’t gonna be saved by facebook and twitter posts and news segments. We will ultimately face close quarters combat if justice isn’t dealt. Ask any vet how pretty that is. We don’t want to see it.
We must sincerely pray to God that this isn’t our only path. Without justice, it is the inevitable path. No decision is still very much a decision.
But without punishment, these people will rain mortal hell down on all good people if they get the chance to do so. We should not be blind to the fact that they are much more serious about pursuing their agenda than good people are about defending theirs.
The next batch of “bad guys” need to be afraid to even consider continuing their program. There’s really only one way to achieve that. Search and read Matt Bracken’s essay “What I Saw at the Coup.”
