I like your moniker “outhouse counsel”. I lived with an outhouse for many years in my youth and many deep contemplations were reconciled there. 🙂 The underlying root causes are easily identified. All you have to do is walk into a high school cafeteria during lunch break. The immorality that is tolerated will make you cringe. Couple that with the whole gender confusion ideology and you have a deep blemish on the soul that will take a lifetime to reconcile for these young people.
And thirdly, their immorality and petty crimes, their propensity to tear each other down with petty gossip and promiscuity that is rampant, all goes on without consequence. When they are finally ejected into the “real” world, they are filled with entitlement. Which is often met with a harsh rude awakening.

That whole Capitol Hill area has been gentrified. Plenty of $1 mil townhouses these days. I haven’t been to Navy Yard since they built the stadium but I’m guessing that whole area has turned around. When I first was commuting through there they were building the Green Line and M St was totally torn up plus they were rebuilding the I395 in DC. Used to take Independence to E Capitol St a lot by the old ‘Skins football stadium.
I worked in DC as a page in 1969. We had a page’s housing unit 6 blocks from the Capitol. It was 4 blocks into the slums. They told us not go out at night unless it was not one, not two, not 3, but at least 4 people together. DC was about 96% black back then. Sounds like it is not a lot better today.
I think the majority of blacks want a peaceful city, and do not want threats, violence, gangs, drugs … running free, either. This may be an opportunity fro PDJT to gain black voting support from people who normally vote dem.

Yep. I grew up around the Chesapeake Bay and have spent some time on pleasure boats as well as some larger vessels. Even owned a couple of boats at different times – 26 ft cabin cruiser and a 29 ft sloop. ‘Dock’ and ‘pier’ were interchangeable terms at most marinas, but “wharf” around these parts is less common.
In Baltimore, when the inner harbor was lined with commercial piers, the street-facing end of the buildings that were constructed on those piers were numbered and referred to as “Pier 5″, Pier 3”, etc. Some old harbor photos are in that link below

You know, God has a way of keeping me humble. In order to do that I do not have to put on a dunce cap, wrap myself with flashing neons lights, and wave my arms while hopping around.
For the past 50 years I’ve made our Christmas cards. I check and double check my spelling, then triple check and have my husband OK my work before printing. It’s only after the cards are printed, signed, put in envelopes with stamps on them and taken to the post office that I’ll see it; a whopper of a mistake.
Last year we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. At our party I displayed my wedding dress on a mannequin and every body — even my husband and me — commented on how small the waist was.
A few days after the party, as I’m packing my dress away again, I decided to see how bad the damage was since last wearing the dress in 1974. To my amazement I could still get the dress on, and zip it up all the way. Could I breathe? Not too much!
My husband took a few photos since he thought it was pretty groovy seeing his bride in her wedding dress, and we printed out a few of those photos to send along with ‘Thank You’ notes to people who’d commented on the dress.
A week after sending the notes I woke up in a panicked state; I realized that instead of writing waist on the back of the photos I wrote waste.
I know what both words mean, and I use both regularly.
Yes, I have a small waste. . . basket in my office, and God is working day and night to keep me humble.

The crime Trump is interested in is what the people experience. And the experiences are being reported on social media. And DC apparently looks like crap today. Gotta say when I was living in that area, there were areas I did not feel safe in and yet safe in some others. But at no point did I feel safe after dark. NOPE. Not ever. And I was so frustrated with the public transport system (busses and trains) that I gave up and just rode a bicycle. I wasn’t paid enough to pay for parking though many of my co-workers paid it… it was RIDICULOUSLY high.
So no. Not a great area back then and that was quite some time ago… around 2012 I guess because that Kony thing was going on… and also the last flight of the space shuttle flew not for from our building where we took pictures. Just checked. That was also 2012. I imagine it has only gotten worse!

I did drive through parts of Washington DC on Monday morning a week ago, going to and from Arlington Nat’l Cemetery for an extended family member’s funeral.. I had no problems being in a moving vehicle on major roadways in the morning approach, but leaving afterwards the route guidance from the map app on my wife’s phone took is through some sketchy areas. Luckily we did not get caught by any red lights in areas that seemed the “sketchiest”….
Commuted from Annapolis to DC for 10 years. For several of these years I would park at stadium-armory off E Capitol and take metro the rest of the way. (Getting on Metro in Md is much more expensive). Coming from Naptown or the parkway there is no direct shot into town so you have to know your way around NE.
There’s a few places I wouldn’t be hanging around at 10 at night, but other than dealing with squeegee boys / panhandlers on S Capitol or Pennsylvania Ave no issues.
Of course if you really, really feel uncomfortable you can take the beltway around to Alexandria Rte 1 what used to be Jeff Davis but I don’t think you’re allowed to call it that anymore. Just be careful as it’s easy to get lost up by the 14th St bridge/pentagon/GW Parkway/Memorial bridge.
Coming out best to take I395 into DC get off at Pennsy and just across the Anacostia turn left to get on Kenilworth. From there contimue on to BW Parkway or get off on US50 east to the beltway or towards Annapolis or I97.
DC is the one democrat run city Trump can take over without judges getting in the way. He can make it a show place forcing other big cities to put up or shut up. And citizens from those cities say, this is all it took?

Home Rule Act (I have broken up the paragraphing and bolded and underlined some portions because it appears that some are reading the statute to provide an absolute limit of 30 days if Congress does not act to extend. Not true. It continues as long as the President considers there to be an emergency. “OR” is disjunctive.

The DC Metropolitan Police is awful in my experience, so great they are federalized..
We attended the inauguration of George W Bush. The DC Police was in charge of checking ladies purses before one could get to Pennsylvania Avenue (all were African American at our checkpoint, under the supervision of Secret service). They took exquisite pleasure in being as slow as possible. We barely got in in time to see the limousines pass by, but there were lots of people left behind us and the bleachers were half empty. Lots of signs not my President across the street. DC Metropolitan Police really enjoyed it. Now they better work or we will turn Judge Jeannine loose on them.
Hopefully he locks down Jacksonville, Bakersfield, and Oklahoma City soon, too. All three of those cities have historically high crime rates.

Thank you President Trump. I lived in NW D.C.in the late 1970’s for about 4 years max: NW 12th Street, and then somewhere in the Adams Morgan part of town. Kalorama St. (I think). I was a bartender at a swanly bar in Georgetown.
Even back late 1970’s, a roomate who worked with me and I would borrow really big knives from the restaurant to wear under our clothes in case we were attacked when we arrived home at 3-4 a.m. In the 1970″s!! Certainly am not bragging about any part of that experience.
Oh I pray President Tump’s Federalization of DC brings hope, light, and glory to a city that I once loved so dearly. Amen.
