Once again, our VSGPDJT is going to show how to get shit done.
At the Speed of Trump no less.
There he goes again…..forcing Democrats to defend the indefensible. He corners them into taking positions contrary to an overwhelming majority of the American people, even contrary to many of their own voters. Brilliant!
He does it with such ease.
The man is a tower of strength and logic!
He understands that one cant convince the world to get its house in order, if his own house is in disarray.
We don’t deserve him. (well, we kinda do because we’ve prayed and stayed vigilant)
Godspeed Mr. President.
Seems there are those who have forgotten Obana and his warriors. Disrupt, destroy, and defy. President Trump might very well be fighting a war waged like in his first administration.
USAID was cut. That is where antifa was getting their funds from.
PDJT entered his second term prepared for what happened in his first term. He learned the lay of the land regarding our very corrupt government. One of the first things he did was remove the NGO & USAID funding. By the time he is done, it will be like Obana and his warriors were never here.
By the time President Trump is done, Obama and his TREASONOUS CO-CONSPIRATORS will wish they were never here all right.
MAGA Fabulous!
Pass the Cheetos and Winnamins!!👊👊🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🍿🍿
One of the commie stations had a graph on how crime is down in DC. That may be true but is still far above what is acceptable in a civilized society.
Government crime or regular crime?
The answer to that is obvious Gipper – but who will arrest the politicans?
Most likely Government crime is not showing on those charts… yet.
Government crime created those charts.
came here to say this. the drones and NPC’s were trying to get in front of this by lecturing the serfs that crime is “down” – which is of course what happens when you manipulate the numbers.
Yes. PDJT just said the numbers have been fake and Pam is supposed to look into it.
That’s merely the opener for the full story of crime examples he has now launched into as only PDJT can tell it..
One of the easiest ways to manipulate crime statistics is to stop arresting people. If they’re not being processed through the criminal justice system then they can’t technically be counted as criminals, correct?
It’s just that some people are doing some things. /sarc
This is so true.
I’m on St. Louis Nextdoor; it is daily filled with tales of crime. Over and over people say, “well I hope you reported it,” “it’s important that you report it,” etc.
And over and over people respond, “Why bother?”
We recently had a teenage threesome who were arrested for a violent carjacking. By the next morning one of them had been arrested for another violent carjacking. Why bother indeed.
And changing felonies to misdemeanors.
and don’t forget making all of them “white “
Downgrading felonies to misdemeanors is another of their favorite tools.
See ComStat
didn’t Obama mandate that policy for education?
Yes Amjean! My school district was sued by Obama’s justice(?) department because we had a large number of the predominate ethnicity being suspended. It did not matter that the administrators were of the same ethnicity. It cost the district millions of dollars.
doesnt matter anymore he is steam rolling now
Here’s a story from a few weeks ago about multiple sources and the DC police union alleging significant crime stats manipulation. Hopefully there will be more information forthcoming from them about the evidence they indicate they’ve been compiling.
https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/dc-police-commander-suspended-crime-statistics/3959566/
‘DC police commander suspended, accused of changing crime statistics’
“A D.C. police commander is under investigation for allegedly making changes to crime statistics in his district.”
“The union claims police supervisors in the department manipulate crime data to make it appear violent crime has fallen considerably compared to last year.”
“Pulliam — the former commander of the 3rd District that patrols Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights — was placed on leave with pay and told he was under investigation for questionable changes to crime data, five law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation told News4.”
But how?
“Union officials said there is a larger trend of manipulating crime statistics. “When our members respond to the scene of a felony offense where there is a victim reporting that a felony occurred, inevitably there will be a lieutenant or a captain that will show up on that scene and direct those members to take a report for a lesser offense,” Fraternal Order of Police Chairman Gregg Pemberton said. “So, instead of taking a report for a shooting or a stabbing or a carjacking, they will order that officer to take a report for a theft or an injured person to the hospital or a felony assault, which is not the same type of classification.”
“The police department’s command staff is focusing on two categories in order to get the numbers to fall, Pemberton said: armed with a dangerous weapon and injured person to the hospital.
“When management officials are directing officers to take reports for felony assault, or if they’re going back into police databases and changing offenses to felony assault, felony assault is not a category of crime that’s listed on the department’s daily crime stats,” Pemberton said. “It’s also not something that’s a requirement of the FBI’s uniform crime reporting program. So, by changing criminal offenses from, for example, ADW bat or ADW gun to felony assault, that would avoid both the MPD and the FBI from reporting that as a part one or a felony offense.”
“The union has been gathering evidence for some time now by looking at reports and talking with officers all over the city, Pemberton said. “What we’ve heard through our members and through members of management that were willing to talk with the union is that this is a directive from the command staff, is that they wanna make sure that these classifications of these reports are adjusted over time to make sure that the overall crime stats stay down,” Pemberton said. “And this is deliberately done.”
This has been going on for years in D sh!tholes across the USA.
“juke the stats”
If you want to get the true skinny on crime in your area, find a disgruntled
cop.
90s. Living the life in the hood ( prostitutes, drug sales, gunfire, serial littering,
break ins down the block). Vast majority of everything cited was, literally, directly
next door.
48 units, 12 buildings, 15 owners. What could go wrong? Everything I just mentioned.
Was going to file public nuisance against complex next door, was lining up neighbors to
co file in civil court. Could have won 7500 x 15 for each neighbor filing.
Needed to get crime stats on the property. Went to police, they gave me 1/2 page of runs.
Knew it was bullshit: the police made 3-4 runs every night on the weekends. Higher
up was trying to make himself look better, because he quit to work on the Atlanta Olympics.
Neighbors backed out of filing, because we had insufficient evidence.
About a year later, I was contesting my property tax assessment, which was for 75K more then
what I paid for the property. Used free meal figures in my area vs more affluent area 3 blocks
up, which my valuation was being compared to.
Anyway, had a female cop come to my front door. “I’m quitting” She said.
“”I’ve had it with how they run things here. Oh, by the way I have something
you might like. I believe you asked for this before”.
“Something I might like ” was 7 pages, single spaced of crime runs to the complex,
over 18 months. I went through them with a highlighter, looking for anything saying
VGCSA (Violation of Georgia Combined Substance Act). IE, drug sales. Crack was king
at the time.
My property taxes were reduced by $800, and we put the place up for sale 2
months later. If I had talked my wife into staying (yeah, right), we would have used
the crime stats for trying to file public nuisance again.
You believe them?
Why?
Figures don’t lie, but liars can figure.
Crime is “down” in all blue cities because they don’t report it or the crime is downgraded to a lesser crime.
DC Police Commander suspended for misrepresenting crime statistics.
https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/dc-police-commander-suspended-crime-statistics/3959566/
Reporting and prosecuting hasn’t happened for years. Corrupt judges just release them and dismiss charges anyway.
Arrests are a revolving door free ride for criminals.
If you didn’t see it, watch AG Jeanine little speach at the WH announcement today…gave examples of “punks” being unpunished. She was on fire!
It’s also only down because the officials are cooking the books and forcing cops to fill out reports for lesser crimes when felonies have occurred.
No report, no crime. Easy peasy.
It is only down because this President is shipping out legions of violent crooks that Biden imported from all over the world.
It will drop through the floor when he demonstrates consequences to our domestic hoodlums.
Crime is down because judges and prosecutors are reclassifying felonies as misdemeanors.
It’s the reporting of crime that is down.
Felonies are often downgraded to misdemeanors.
The statistics have been manipulated.
As another commenter here expressed, it was to get “Jotato” re-elected.
Crime down in DC? Nonsense it’s garbage in garbage out cooking the stats!
Yeah, they just stopped arresting people and began re-classifying certain felonies as misdemeanors – that’s what led to these “crime is down in DC” statistics. Don’t be fooled – it’s only gotten worse in reality.
Looking forward to the salty tears and faux outrage of progressive liberals who have brought lawlessness and its fruits to our…OUR!!!…Capitol. I include especially any and all “judges” who have enabled/orchestrated the sorry state of affairs which have forced President Trump to take whatever measures are necessary to remediate their abrogation of constitutionally mandated moral authority.
Clean up on Aisle DC!!
Officially stolen. 😇
Watching WH Channel https://www.youtube.com/live/ZtVMoko3mSI?feature=shared
I hope history appreciates the fact that PDJT had been talking about cleaning up DC for years but the final straw was an assault on “Big Balls”
… and … remember that “Big Balls” was doing old-school chivalry by defending a woman in distress. A stranger to Big Balls, but a fellow human being who needed help.
Might make one think of The Knights of The Round Table. Sir Galahad and others. Not perfect people but just having a mindset to do the right thing.
It was actually his girlfriend, original reports said it was a stranger, but later corrected.
He is a very good young man! Did exactly as he should.
thank you for the correction – I did not know that.
Also good to see a young feller protect his girlfriend!
The only thing regrettable was that “Big Balls” did not have a “Big Gun!”
From Jeff Childers at Coffee and Covid:
The massive media ‘controversy’ over something Trump hasn’t even done yet arises from a week-old post where the President said, “Crime in Washington, D.C., is totally out of control. If this continues, I am going to exert my powers, and FEDERALIZE this City.”
All the pearl clutching over Trump’s threat to re-federalize DC is more media nonsense.
Legally speaking, Trump can’t just wave away D.C.’s mayor and council without Congress— the 1973 Home Rule Act still stands. So he can’t actually re-federalize DC. But he doesn’t need new laws to make the city feel federal again. As president, he can flood D.C. with federal law enforcement, deploy the National Guard, and override local discretion in security matters. Those levers, if applied aggressively, can sideline local officials and put the capital under de facto federal control without a single vote on the Hill.
Absent Congressional action to repeal the 1973 Act, local DC officials would still be able to paint crosswalks with rainbow colors, erect BLM memorials, collect property taxes, and so on. So don’t expect Trump to “take over” DC. But he can, and it looks like he will, take over the law enforcement function.
A very good web site – Coffee & Covid
My second stop after CTH!
I read him every day. Good stuff.
He just said that he will work with Congress to Federalize the city.
and expose more traitors in congress with the vote
Dear Muriel,
I guess we both know what this means: there will never be a “Governor Bowser”.
And no more caravans of black SUVs sent to the airport to pick up Maidan’s finest Azov Nazi ringers, sent to smash windows at the Capitol.
Remember this?
What’s good for the goose is good for gander! It’s not personal–it’s personnel!
–Donald
ps; think of it as practice for Gaza!
See you around town.
i look forward to some “judge” declaring that having NG in the capital is illegal, wherein we can then re-start the Jan 6 debate.
Sad but true. Every Obama and Biden appointed District Court judge is being shopped by Eric Holder and Marc Elias to start the lawfare against Trump.
He’ll be testing out the “methods and procedures” for ridding NYC of their trash once that Mamdani “wins”!
Yes. He loves NYC.
Sadly this is happening in a LOT of US cities. Went out Sat [early] night this past weekend and couldn’t believe how out of control it was.. at 8:30pm! No cops to be seen, just aggressive bums, wilding “juveniles”, etc. Really sad.
Retired Magistrate here: My husband and I are in our late 70’s, have health issues and are not as strong as we used to be. Of course my husband carries; however, here in Ohio, if we went to Columbus, Cincinnati or Cleveland, we would be the ones charged with a crime if we were attacked and attempted to defend ourselves under the Second Amendment.
So, we just stay in our little areas of semi rural Ohio where the police take their jobs seriously and actually enforce the law.
I don’t go to downtown Chicago anymore…I used to go alone.
In some ways, I think that is what ‘they’, TPTB, want…the people fearful to leave their ’15 Minute Cities’…
We need to re-claim and restore our cities.
Check out Benny Johnson’s tweet on the topic. From the roof of Trump Tower-Chicago.
Amazing!
https://x.com/bennyjohnson/status/1954307669914980395
Such a great city at one time…
Holey smokes!!!! Where’s the safety gear? Yikes……..made my toes curl!!! Very little parapet wall. Wow!
There is absolutely no way you could pay me to walk on that rooftop.
Eagle61, I am not good with heights. I felt it from my stomach to my toes as well! No amount of money could get me up there either.
Whooo – don’t trip, dude!
I don’t know when I’ll ever visit the blues museums or eat fabulous barbeque in Memphis, ever again.. Any more, I hate even going to Knoxville unless I go straight to UT Med.
Same here in British Columbia..Vancouver and Victoria were once truly spectacular and a treat to visit.
Now they are drug infested, socialist controlled shit holes. ( literally)
Those that can have been preparing.
Cheers!
Victoria!? Oh no, it was an annual summer favorite trip when I lived in the NW. the flowers were spectacular!
I don’t go IL anymore, so glad my parents moved us out of there in 71.
All three cities, as well as Dayton and Toledo, are DEM operated and have been for some time.
Small-town Ohio is indeed the place to be! We visit Dayton’s suburbs, or those of Columbus and Cincinnati, but the “ghettos” are indeed terrible places.
When we lived in Columbus, we delivered food for St. Vincent De Paul to an apartment complex, built in the post-WW II era, which now resembles one of Dante’s Circles of Hell. Full of Somalis and other Third-Worlders, along with native-born Afro-Americans and some poor Caucasians, murders and shootings were not unknown.
Trash and vermin and stenches of all kinds abounded: the “management” charged over $600. per month (this is 5 years ago and older) and did no maintenance of any kind!
Typical slumlords!
On the other hand, not one person would bend over and pick up trash or garbage which they had just thrown out on the grass or parking lot! Not one person stepped forward to say: “Let’s get this trash and garbage cleaned up!”
Collect the government check and live in filth and your own sloth!
Charlie Kirk called this the “Would you wash your rental car” syndrome. No, most people would not, especially not for a short term rental.
Reinforcing how much more we value what we ourselves have actually worked for, and how different the result is when you have Pride of Ownership. (Which should tell school districts something regarding the votes of the transients, but doesn’t in our brainwashed society.)
People do not value that for which they did not have to put forth effort, such as government housing. It shows.
Part of the strategy of big Hedge funds purchasing all the single family homes and turning them into rentals is to further denigrate the traditional family and promote isolationism instead of community. Destroying fellowship is key to controlling the great unwashed –all of us nobodies that do th work and pay the taxes that is.
Cheering…absolutely! Many years ago I lived and worked in the barrios of Venezuela. We NEVER gave one item away free…not even a pencil…for that very reason. You do not value something unless you have a vested interest in it. It can be “sweat labor” and there are some helping hand agencies out there that embrace this concept today. Yes…value assigned and pride of ownership are undervalued.
I grew up in Seattle, in the 60s and 70s, worked downtown through the 80s, took my kids down there without a thought in the 90s/early 2000s…and now, only go when I absolutely have to, and try to find parking directly in the building where I am going so that I do not have to actually walk anywhere!
Absolutely breaks my heart – still one of the most beautiful cities in the world but the insane leftists have absolutely destroyed it and still keep voting for more of the same, all whilst complaining about the increase in crime, the lack of services, and the dearth of businesses and restaurants!
I haven’t set foot in Seattle for years and have no intention of ever doing so again. Not since the mayor allowed the hooligans to trash the city during the summer of love.
Two of my son’s friends moved to Seattle. Neither lasted a full year. His female friend
that moved there hates Trump, but hated Seattle worse. She was trapped in her midrise
apartment for 3 days because the elevator was broken, and the city hadn’t shown up to
get a dead ODed heroin addict out of the stairway. All of the crime in Seattle they talked
about was mainly white drug addicts.
I live on a semi-rural island in the PNW. I have a CCW permit, but I rarely, if ever, carry on the island, because serious crime is next to non-existent (kinda hard to get off the island and local law enforcement are serious about their jobs). However, with that said, I have to go to The People’s Socialist Paradise of Seattle this week. You bet I’ll be carrying!
Austin is a neighborhood in Chicago, from the libs at WGN:
https://wgntv.com/news/chicagocrime/6-people-shot-overnight-including-1-dead-and-3-in-critical-condition-at-a-gathering-on-in-austin-neighborhood-police-say/
Heyjackass.com the only real numbers on the mayhem, and cwbchicago.com the only real reporting of crime.
“mostly peaceful party on the west side”
Always remember the “issues” in Austin are caused by the white kids coming in from the suburbs to buy drugs.
If we saw white kids driving in my old hood down 2nd Avenue
from East Lake Meadows projects it always got more interesting.
Because the drugs had been delivered, and the buyers had more
money. The stereos, domestic arguements, gunfire would amp
up a few notches on those weekends.
My cousin went to Austin High School in the early ’60’s and it was a snake pit then. Only difference was the weapons of choice were broken bottles and chains. Now they have guns.
Think of Washington DC as a bridgehead, an example of what can be done in a short space of time, if the laws are enforced, cf his border policy. The radical Left will try to stop this ‘bridgehead’, but doubt they’ll succeed and once people see what it could be like, or was like, they’ll be less happy to go back.
Donald Trump is officially giving people permission to say, enough’s, enough, we want to go back to how it was, we want to have our country wealthy, prosperous, strong and dedicated to serving its citizens first. He’s making people remember how it used to be, which is a powerful weapon against the DS and its servants, who’ve tried to get people to forget, by demonising old customs and practices, and replacing them with, enforced, constant, radical activism.
Truth isn’t just a disinfectant, it’s a reminder of a better way that used to exist, bringing happy memories flooding back and this action helps begins to restore the battered faith between the citizens and THEIR government, because the latter is finally responding to the former’s wants and needs.
Tolkien understood.
p.s. Feel free to suggest which DS minions represent the bad guys, and which of the Fellowship represent the good guys, but obvious ‘47 is Trumpdalf!
Went to Savannah for a concert 3 years ago. Went through the historic area (River street), and the nearby
bar/ restaurant district that paralleled it. ( Locals can name the area) . Anyway, we had taken an uber down to
the area, had time to kill. The bar/restaurant district was basically full of white kids in their early to mid 20s.
Kinda frat boy ish. No issues, no bad behaviors.
Concert let out at 1030, walked to same area to get another Uber home. Night and day difference in about 3 hours.
Hooptie cars, loud stereos, attitude. Wasn’t gang bangers, it was wealthy buppie youth trying to act urban. Which
can actually be worse. Anyway, the attitude of the area was completely flipped. It changed from no issues to in
your face in that 3 hour time frame.
I would love to go to the National Gallery for a day but DC is such a Bleep Hole that we don’t bother. Hopefully the President can get it in order so that it is an enjoyable outing again. Being in the Capitol is a very cool experience and should be safe to be there.
Gosh, I remember being a young intern in DC many years ago and walking freely everywhere without a hint of fear. Of course, I could say that about so many places, even overseas in areas you probably would hesitate to even visit these days. Last time I was in Nairobi, I wasn’t allowed to leave the hotel without an armed guard. So VERY, VERY glad I traveled when I did.
I went to East Berlin in 1976 and had East German border guards point machine guns at me. I went to DC in 1992 and walked a short distance alone at night on the street. I felt safer in Berlin.
My hope is that this is something that Trump and his team have been planning for a long while, and that they’ve come up with detailed plans to do this that have been subjected to practical, as well as political, assessment.
Ultimately, most of DC needs to be ceded back to Maryland and the reconfigured DC should only be a small area around the Capitol, WhiteHouse, Mall, and nearby Federal buildings.
Good Luck Mr. President.
Ten Square miles…………per the Constitution.
actually, not to be too pedantic, it’s a “10 miles square” in the Constitution…which is 100 square miles
L4Grasshopper: I’m with you. Shrink DC to a smaller, federally controlled administrative district and send the rest back to state control. As for the DC courts, perhaps there should be a system for randomly assigning DC cases to courts around the country.
BREAKING: President Trump takes a historic step in Washington, D.C., invoking the 1973 Home Rule Act to place the city under direct federal authority, accompanied by National Guard deployment.

2022:
“When the Soros/USAID Democrat Paramilitaries attacked the White House every night for a week at her encouragement, Mayor Bowser would not let the DC Police help the Secret Service, who sustained many casualties.
Pres. Trump tweeted that the Color Revolution mob should stay away because the Secret Service has dogs and special weapons, which is true, of course.
“Big crowd, professionally organized, but nobody came close to breaching the fence. If they had they would….have been greeted with the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons, I have ever seen. That’s when people would have been really badly hurt, at least. Many Secret Service agents just waiting for action. “We put the young ones on the front line, sir, they love it, and good practice.” As you saw last night, they were very cool & very professional. Never let it get out of hand. Thank you! On the bad side, the D.C. Mayor, @MurielBowser, who is always looking for money & help, wouldn’t let the D.C. Police get involved. “Not their job.” Nice!”
Bowser tweeted her support for the mob:
“While he hides behind his fence afraid/alone, I stand w/ people peacefully exercising their First Amendment Right after the murder of #GeorgeFloyd & hundreds of years of institutional racism
There are no vicious dogs & ominous weapons. There is just a scared man. Afraid/alone…”
By telling the rioters that, Boss Bowser was trying to get the mob to attack the Trumps.
Failing that, she was hoping to get rioters killed for propaganda purposes, just like previous Commie organizers did to students at Kent State.” …….
Think she regrets that tweet?
Rest in the Vine: Washington, D.C., with Apologies to George and Christopher: UPDATE: Apologies No More!
now, which judge will this be shopped to, hmmmmmm?
Well past time for good sense to stop the lawlessness. Reclaim all of our blue cities!
God bless our wonderful, caring President and stymie his enemies.
I hope prez fixes his comment…going to Russia on Friday real quick!
This will succeed, and my hope is that the methods and techniques used will be taken up by every other “fatigued” city in the United States when their leaders see how much better a clean, safe city is.
The leaders of commie hell holes do *not* want clean, safe cities. They actually promote the violence and mayhem so that the fearful little people look to them for solutions.
The “solutions”offered by leaders of commie-controlled hell holes are invariably a strategic power grab via further loss of freedoms. See gun-free zones, DEI policing, curfews etc..
Love the socialist gaslighting propaganda: “This is unnecessary because crime is actually coming down!” Democrat liars.
🚨 BREAKING: Attorney General Pam Bondi assumes full and total control of the DC Metropolitan Police Department, President Trump announces.
This oughta be good…😎
Splodey heads….ignite!
🤯
Eurotrash panic…
Gotta keep at least one forever war going …
PDJT brining about global peace really ticks off the globalists.
Everybody but Putin. A waste of our President’s time.
I just wish someone would come out and just Say It:
“Mamas, tell your chillren to stop acting like ratchet-ass pack-savages.”
Nobody will, but it needs to be repeated until it sinks in.
Truth is they do not care. They were born for a government check. Once they are a teen they hope they go to prison because they have become difficult at home and the check is running out. Something needs to be done about the governement checks. Taxpayers needs something positive in return.
We’re at about 4 to 5 generations of folks that have never and will never have worked a day in their lives.
Thanks LBJ
Single mothers with kids from many different men and their only true “husband” is the Government check. Which breeds resentment, militance and violence .
With the government being the ultimate cuck…
I do not think “mamas” “ have one bit of control over those children these days…nor have any idea where they are most of the time.
Call me naïve but I had only a fragmentary idea of how bad the DC street-thug crime was.
I thought it was “episodic”, as in anti-fa attacking MAGA during the PDJT 45 & 47 Inaugurations.
Instead it is chronic and reaching White House Staff and Members of Congress.
But getting rolled back now thanks to PDJT.
It’s not only D.C. by a long shot. But D.C., once fixed in this regard, will serve as a bright, shining example to a couple dozen other cities with the same exact problem.
If applied in Shitcago it will be labeled as demonizing the youth.
There is a policy of no demonizing by Brandon “conehead” Johnson the installed “mayor”.
And the gop “establishment” as represented by George Will is still clueless as to “what the hour is”.
MAGA will have to keep the rinos contained while we save civilization. But we already knew that.
It’s crazy how trying to lynch the Vice President didn’t warrant the National Guard, but “Big Balls” getting carjacked requires a show of force.

I saw the list from July, 2016. It is meaningful to see that again. Investigations into these unsolved homicides can be reopened.
Posting this list may have inadvertently supported the second part of her comment. Presumably none of these murders got national let alone international attention, but one DOGE employee gets mugged so, yeah, let’s take extraordinary action to clean up D.C. I think our President is taking advantage of Coristine’s injuries to put into play an idea he’s had for some time.

What are you talking about? Seriously?
She, It, whatever, is talking about the day Judas Pence went from being Hitler to her hero.
Just a bit of focus on the larger picture of general crime—theft, assault, and spoiling the landscape——is a far more valid perspective.
Come again?
When did that happen? Surely you don’t mean that fake gallows that was put up by DC workers? LOL
I see you, “Christine” 👀
We all see you…
Time to give it a rest.
You have no power here.
There is zero justification to use military force to occupy an American city. What is the actual emergency, Betsy?
This is only demonstrating that there is a mad man in the White House surrounded by enabling sycophants.
Meanwhile, his public support keeps plummeting. And he’s promised his supporters that they’ll never have to vote again? This is all troubling, at best.
I get it, Betsy – you are a President Trump worshipper. And that’s fine. But some of us would like to see an actual Conservative President over the next 30 years.
Your homeboy is not that.
not many here will entertain the factless, baseless and unsupported ramblings of a broken mind
mother jones beckons you back, christine, and big harma says you’re due for another booster
Christine worships David Corn no doubt.
Pres. Trump invoked Sec. 740 of the DC Home Rule Act to assume control of the Metro PD.
The statute allows for such a takeover for only 30 days. That is subject to extension only by way of a joint resolution by Congress.
My research so far tells me that such a resolution will be subject to the Senate filibuster rule, so 60 votes will be needed to end debate on any such resolution in the Senate.
The House and Senate come back into session on 9/2.
OR — might the President use this as a justification to call Congress back into session.
Under Article II, Section 3 the President “may, on extraordinary occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them.” This allows the President to summon Congress back for a special session if urgent matters arise, such as national emergencies, critical legislation, or other pressing issues.
I wonder if AG Bondi will find any hidden rooms in MPD HQ full of documents related to J6?
You know, I was actually going to come to your defense, if only because it annoys the heck out of me when people can no longer express opinions that are contrary to the Trump adulation group, but then you had to go and (deliberately?) take a Trump comment out of context. That would be the line about never having to vote again.
If you’re going to quote the President, be certain you include the entirety of what he said. Don’t just use one controversial line to shore up your argument. That’s how you lose credibility.
There’s a reason I placed “her” name in inverted commas, Fionnagh.
Suffice it to say, it is my belief based on “her” other comments elsewhere, including to a post I made yesterday, that we’ve got a malevolent pot stirrer in our midsts, contributions designed to get a rise out of our Treehouse family.
Leave “her” to “her” own devices…
You are absurd to the point of being a psychopath. Try reading the Constitution’s establishment of DC as a FEDERAL district under the control of Congress before fabricating tall tales about *military force* to *occupy* what is statutorily established as…sit down for this, karen…A FEDERALLY CONTROLLED DISTRICT.
👉🏻 🤬
Perhaps you weren’t born yet? In 1992 Los Angeles riots began on April 29, 1992, following the acquittal of four white Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers in the beating of Rodney King . The unrest led to the deployment of the National Guard, federal troops, and law enforcement personnel, with order being restored by May 4, 1992. So your zero justification approach would only lead to more deaths and destruction!!!
She needs to google Reginald Denny.
Your boy ain’t coming back.
Huh. Seems a little over the top. If your last line infers what it seems to infer, well, Max von Sydow had better cause.

Never an effort to harm the VP, just wanted him to do his job when the electoral votes from various states were rightly going to be challenged.
Big Balls is in your head and I love it.
So what’s your point?
After all the crimes for years, President Trump has had enough.
Not only has he had enough,, but right now he is in a position to do something about it. He’s been a little busy with several pressing issues, including getting re-elected.
People who write posts like yours are part of the problem. No matter what good thing happens, they complain. Working with you or being your neighbor must be difficult because you don’t seem to appreciate hard work and people who are doing their best to make things better. That’s all we can ask of each other, except maybe that we take the time to say thank you.
Don’t like big balls?……What a surprise.
KUDOS YET AGAIN TO THE PRESIDENT
The District of Columbia IS our FEDERAL city. Since the 1970s, steps were taken by Congress to increase local control over the city. The city council is radical left and the mayor is incompetent.
This is why President Trump is so incredible. He sees what has happened to the DC and he is acting. And he is acting save the city, protect the people, and clean up the monuments and streets! It’s very exciting!
I predict the Democrats, their media, and the radical leftwing ideologues will accuse him of being some kind of dictator or racists or whatever. Of course, the Democrats are all that and more. The Constitution created the District of Columbia and the president is in charge of the executive branch. This is not only lawful but it is leadership in action!

I suspect very soon he will no longer have any reason to stay in DC.
A recent whistleblower report alleges that the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington, D.C. (MPD) manipulated crime data to falsely portray a decrease in crime rates.
Ukraine now prepared to cede territory held by Russia
Zelensky told European leaders that they must reject any settlement proposed by President Trump which sees them giving up Ukrainian land they still hold – but that Ukrainian territory in Russia’s control could be on the table.
This would mean freezing the frontline where it is and handing Russia de-facto control of the territory it occupies in Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Crimea.
Another remarkable, winning day.

My dad grew up in Long Beach, Ca. He was born in 1925 and SoCal was very rural still, but Los Angeles had rough neighborhoods even then and of course, Chicago and New York were big cities with crime problems. He told me that the government came in and cleaned up areas in the 30’s and it was quite effective.
I wonder if it was the FBI.
Having an unusual very busy day and not able to watch or keep up…. However, what is not to love/like about this man!!! I hope Vance & Rubio are watching & taking notes for their runnnn!

Hope not.

The childish reporter at the end?
How long will the takeover of the DC Police last? DC Residents will see the National Guard on their streets.
I feel sure it will be a relief. The residents of DC would prefer to see the National Guard on their streets rather than a bunch of criminals preying upon them as they walk to work. I am sure that the National Guard has not stabbed, shot, carjacked, or beaten any of the people of DC.
What an absolute moron.

CNN are reporting that crime is way down in Washington DC but they ignore the fact that the crime stats are very much like the opinion polls that they keep broadcasting that are totally divorced from reality.
I wish this was just DC…our Recruiting Director was attacked by a vagrant while walking in from her car this morning. One of our coworkers saw it, went outside, and protected her. When the vagrant charged at him, the kid laid him out. Don’t eff with a former US Marine.
Cops eventually came and arrested the vagrant. The City of Colorado Springs…not DC. The recruiter is unhurt.
Incredibly sad that our Capitol has to be patrolled by the military like it is Fallujah or Mogadishu.

The Problem is with welfare and the Washington DC Police hiring…
Drug money and welfare fraud is what keeps the black community together on the SE side. Great grandmother’s are in on it and especially cops that grew up there.
If they want to clean up DC they’re gonna have to have alot of Black FBI agents because they have organized themselves against anyone who isn’t black, and have a neighborhood security “system” that makes it impossible to get anywhere near the big criminals without them knowing you were coming.
There are many generations of criminals there, and the ones returning from prisons get treated like kings.
The best way to clean up DC is to END section 8 and other free housing programs in the district, limit foodstamps to only single mothers, and break up the Tribe that has squatted in DC to reap welfare for generations.
DC dosen’t have a crime problem, it has a black crime problem.
A fact about humans in all places and all times is that some humans will use what they can in a given situation for their gain. Civilizations refer to this as lawlessness and crime.
That has happened in DC.
What has caused it to flourish is that law abiding people did not use the law to stop the criminal behavior. The result is an increase in the behavior.
Thus, in all human societies the way the society stops criminal behavior is to create and enforce laws..
Failure to enforce laws in DC is the heart of the problem. That is a leadership issue.
President Trump is an effective leader who just enforced the law. That will fix the immediate problem of attacks in the street.
Being an effective leader, President Trump is also doing what failed leaders haven’t done; he is creating more job opportunities.
President Trump has a two-pronged attack: enforce laws, including police behaving properly, and creating opportunities. He will continue in that vein while also enforcing drug laws and defeating cartels.
Stop identifying skin color as the foundational problem because it is not.
The issues are leadership, laws, and enforcement, things people like you seem to disregard.
By the way — President Trump does care about people. That is one of his reasons for focusing on job creation. All viable societies are built on job opportunity for citizens.
150 years later: President Donald Trump is holding a press conference today to outline his approach to correcting the increased unlawful activity on the streets of Washington, DC
“What shall we do with the Negro?” ‘I have had but one answer from the beginning. Do nothing with us! Your doing with us has already played the mischief with us. Do nothing with us! If the apples will not remain on the tree of their own strength, if they are worm eaten at the core, if they are early ripe and disposed to fall, let them fall! I am not for tying or fastening them on the tree in any way, except by nature’s plan, and if they will not stay there, let them fall. And if the Negro cannot stand on his own legs, let him fall also. All I ask is, give him a chance to stand on his own legs! Let him alone!’ ––Frederick Douglas 1865
As long as we have to live in the same city, we can’t oblige.
And another fun fact…
Frederick Douglas was appointed US Marshal of DC in 1877 by President Rutherford Hayes! I believe that made him the 1st African American confirmed by the Senate for a Presidential appointment.
Just out of curiosity:
Q: Compare the crime rate in Washington, DC with other major cities with high crime rates.
I’ll compare the District of Columbia with Portland (OR), Oklahoma City (OK), Denver (CO), Milwaukee (WI), Nashville (TN), Detroit (MI), Memphis (TN), Baltimore (MD), and St. Louis (MO). These cities are either similar in population size or frequently cited for high crime rates based on FBI data and other sources.
[big snip]
Summary
– Violent Crime : In 2023, D.C.’s violent crime rate (601.3) was lower than Detroit (~2,000), Memphis (2,437), Baltimore (~1,800), St. Louis (2,082.29), Portland (724), Denver (729), Milwaukee (1,462), and Nashville (879), but similar to Oklahoma City (637). By 2024, D.C.’s rate (~445) is likely lower than most of these cities.
– Homicide : D.C.’s 2023 homicide rate (38.9) was among the highest, tied with Detroit (40.9), but lower than St. Louis (53.7) and Baltimore (~50). In 2024, D.C.’s rate (~27.7) dropped significantly, likely making it lower than Detroit, Baltimore, and St. Louis.
– Property Crime : D.C.’s 2023 property crime rate (3,454) is lower than Portland (5,976), Denver (5,732), Nashville (4,586), Detroit (~4,500), Baltimore (~3,500), and St. Louis (~6,000), but higher than Oklahoma City (2,952) and Milwaukee (2,793).
– Key Observations : D.C.’s 2023 crime rates were high, particularly for homicides, but its 2024 violent crime drop (26%) makes it safer than most of these high-crime cities. Property crime in D.C. is moderate compared to cities like Portland and Denver, but motor vehicle theft is a notable issue.
– Context : D.C.’s crime is concentrated in certain neighborhoods (e.g., southeast), while tourist areas are relatively safe. Cities like Detroit, Memphis, Baltimore, and St. Louis face more systemic violent crime challenges due to economic and social factors.
Not “rates,” but raw numbers. I’ll ask for more specific data: incidents per 1,000.
Compare in incidents per 1,000 the violent, homicide, and property crime rates in Washington, DC with Portland (OR), Oklahoma City (OK), Denver (CO), Milwaukee (WI), Nashville (TN), Detroit (MI), Memphis (TN), Baltimore (MD), and St. Louis (MO).
Grok 3 AI:
[big snip]
Summary and Comparison
Violent Crime: In 2019, St. Louis (20.82), Baltimore (20.27), Detroit (20.57), and Memphis (20.03) had the highest violent crime rates per 1,000, far exceeding Washington, DC (9.49). Portland had the lowest at 5.16. By 2024, Washington, DC’s violent crime rate dropped significantly to ~3.91, making it safer than most listed cities except possibly Portland (~4.28 in 2025).
Homicide: St. Louis (0.661) and Baltimore (0.558) led in 2019 homicide rates, followed by Detroit (0.398) and Memphis (0.277). Portland had the lowest at 0.037. Washington, DC’s 2023 rate (0.389) was high but dropped to 0.187 in 2024, aligning closer to Nashville (0.163 in 2019) or Milwaukee (0.167 in 2019).
Property Crime: Memphis (62.98) and St. Louis (60.41) topped property crime rates in 2019, followed by Portland (56.77) and Baltimore (49.28). Milwaukee had the lowest at 27.93. Washington, DC (41.56 in 2019, 34.54 in 2023) was mid-range but had notably high motor vehicle theft (10.08 in 2023).
I’m old enough to remember Youngstown, Ohio was on the cover of TIME magazine as “Murder City.”
When I was in high school, in the early to mid 70s, Dayton had an ongoing
war with Detroit on which city had the highest murder rate, per capital.
Detroit generally “won”, but Dayton beat Detroit a few years on the amount of rapes.
During the late ’80’s, then early ’90’s when NYC was the murder capital of America (2-2,400/yr)
The then U.S. Attorney at Southern District Rudy “G”, implemented what he called “FED DAY”.
One day of the week, where N.Y.P.D. Narc-Homicide teams could choose a specifically targeted Major Offender, for Federal Prosecution.
This practice had an instant effect, on reducing crime in N.Y.C. Largely because the Federal, Sentencing Guidelines are traumatic, when compared to NYS/PL.
The most effective sections of USC Title 18, were of course the RICO statutes, which covered most Homicides. Where the sentencing guideline was Life w/o Parole. Much more effective though was the specific statute of 18USC922, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, where simple possession was sufficient and the mandatory sentence was, 10yrs in a federal facility. . .
However enforcing laws in any socialist poop-hole is not only a dangerous occupation for the LEO’s. More times than not, it also becomes Political Suicide for those outnumbered politicos, who seek to enforce it. Which is, of course by design for socialism.
The problem with taking such action in Washington D.C. Where the local government despises law enforcement, as much as their career criminals. Will be two fold, a) the local government will fight these methods in Court at every turn, and b) the inevitable, clash, where some Honor Student, aspiring Artist. Will be, involved in a gunfight with Fed/Local LEO’s.
Socialism is in dire need of a motivating factor, for their Voter Base.
Right now the question is, will it be another Saint George, or a Kent State ?

Federal Courts Hacked — Sealed Records Exposed Just as Obamagate Case Peaks
On August 6, hackers breached the U.S. federal courts’ core systems, potentially accessing sealed records and witness identities. The judiciary has confirmed “escalated” cyberattacks and is now working with DOJ and DHS to harden systems.
The timing is extraordinary. This breach lands in the very week that grand juries are meeting in the Obama “grand conspiracy” case — a sprawling investigation into the network of political and intelligence operatives behind Russiagate and other illegal operations. Such a case would inevitably involve sealed indictments, confidential witnesses, and highly sensitive filings.
If this breach exposed those files, it could be an attempt to identify witnesses, tamper with evidence, or derail proceedings before charges are made public. It could also explain why D.C. is suddenly being “secured” with National Guard troops — not just for street crime, but to protect the integrity of a process that could shake the capital to its core.
Whether this is coincidence or not, the sequence is hard to ignore:
•Federal court systems breached.
•Potential sealed indictments compromised.
•Grand juries in session on the most explosive case in modern U.S. history.
•Natuonal Guard being deployed to D.C. (potentially preparing for lockdown?)
On the other hand, if Trumo’s team have already secured the evidence and are aware of the breach, it could just accelerate their timeline to act, explaining why security in D.C. is being ramped up now…
Let’s see
Revocation of home rule could also spell the end of “Corporate America”…and the return of the Constitutional Republic.
Trump has just taken the heart of the beast. The capital, home to Congress, the courts, the agencies, and the deep state machinery, is now under his command.
This may be the opening shot in dismantling the post-1871 corporate structure and restoring the constitutional republic!
It would be nice to be able to visit the city again to visit the museums.
