(1858-1931)
American heart surgeon who performed the 1st open heart surgery, dies at 73
Biography: Daniel Hale Williams was an American surgeon best remembered for performing one of the world’s first successful open-heart surgeries. He pursued a career in medicine at a time when opportunities were limited for African Americans and earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical College in 1883.
Recognizing the lack of hospital access for African American residents in Chicago, Williams founded Provident Hospital and Training School in 1891, the first non-segregated hospital in the United States, which also provided nursing opportunities for African American women.
In 1893, Williams gained recognition when he successfully performed one of the first documented pericardium surgeries to repair a wound, which marked a milestone in the evolution of open-heart surgery. The patient, James Cornish, had been stabbed in the chest and was treated by Williams, who opened his chest and repaired the wounded heart muscle. Remarkably, Cornish recovered completely within fifty-one days.
Williams also co-founded the National Medical Association in 1895, a professional organization for African American medical practitioners, as the American Medical Association did not admit African American members at the time. Throughout his career, Williams was an advocate for the presence and recognition of African Americans within the medical field.

I was in a little shack one summer and lightning struck relatively close, I heard the spark between the building & fireplace insert before I heard the lightning crack. I was laying on a futon so not really grounded myself to anything.
It probably would have been a little electrifying tho, I been hit with a lot of different electrical sources over the years but all 120 or less a/c, 80,000 or less dc from GM coils, worst was 48V DC from a forklift battery that had been used in the rain outside when I leaned against it to examine whatever problem it had, lesson learned quick on that one.
Definitely wished to avoid even the possibility of a 72V forklift hit. Probably why they are supposed to be an indoor truck only, and ID ten T operator could definitely electrocute self getting on/off the truck after getting it wet in a rain on open docks.

Israel Update:
This is not a usual update. The amount of darkness is overwhelming. I will not go one by one as it’s not good for my health. I hope that you manage to hold your position against the massive wave of lies and hate, if you noticed.
It’s best to step back and let it pass. It’s a demonic cloud. I’m just praying that Sundance will stay out of it too and not catch the “virus” that infected Tucker, Candace and others.
I do have to mention one thing and it’s harsh for me to say: The State of Israel has failed to fulfill one of its core purposes. To “never again” see Jews starved to death and murdered. We just witnessed our hostages look like the prisoners of Aushwitz death camp.
So this update is different. I will make it easy on myself and copy and paste a post of one of my favorite sources who is Amir Tzarfati, then I will provide a perspective that you will never guess:

Now the other perspective:
The Jewish Calendar is completely different from the one you know. I won’t get into explaining it but we just passed the 9th of month “Av”. This is a significant date in Judaism and many actually are fasting and praying.
This date, and just around it, has a regular reoccurrence of the worst disasters of the Jewish People:
-On this date the First Temple was destroyed by the Babylonian King on 586 BC.
-The Second Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed also on this date. By the Romans on the 70th BC.
-The “Decree on the Generation of the Desert” allegedly occurred on this date. This was God’s punishment for “The sin of the spies”. The 12 spies who were sent to scout the lands of Israel came back and 10 of them said that “It’s impossible to conquer it”. They minimized the power of God which resulted in the Decree. The whole generation wouldn’t live to see that lands and stayed in the desert.
-The Fall of Beitar: At the end of the Rebellion of the Jews led by Bar Kochva 135 CE against the Romans, the City Beitar fell. Masses of Jews died there. It was the end of the last Jewish Autonomy until the re-establishment of Israel in 1948.
-The Plowing of the Temple Mount: After the destruction of Beitar, The Roman Caesar ordered to plow the mount in order to symbolize the annihilation of the memory of Jerusalem.
-The Expulsion of the Jews of Spain: In 1492 King Ferdinand and the Queen Isabela decreed that Jews must become Christians or else be expelled. The last date to be expelled was the 9th of Av.
-The beginning of the expulsion of England: 1290. King Edward the First expelled the Jews and they were not allowed back until the 17th century. The reasons were antisemite. The Catholics blamed the Jews for killing Jesus. There were Blood Libels too that Jews murdered Christian children for religious ceremonies. There was one case in particular of a Blood Libel related to the death of a child. Jews were not permitted to own lands or have most of the professions. Therefore many became lenders with Interest which was prohibited for the Christian. This created hate. This expulsion enabled the King to confiscate the Jewish property and make a lot of money. This Expulsion started on the 9th of Av.
-The beginning of WW1. August 1914. Very close to 9th in Av. This led to a big Holocaust later of the Jews of Europe.
-The beginning of the expulsion of the Warsaw Ghetto. 23 July 1942. The beginning of the expulsions was close to the 9th of Av, 256.000 were sent to the extermination camp of Treblinka. It was a part of the Nazi Final Solution plan. This Expulsion actually lasted from 22 July to 12 September and 256,000 Jews were sent to death camps. It continued again in Jan 1943. It was a preparation to the complete extermination, they sent those who couldn’t work to die. The elderly, children, the ill, etc… Only a few tens of thousands survived. When they tried to take them too later in Jan 1943 they faced an armed rebellion, The Ghetto Warsaw Rebellion. The rebellion lasted 27 days. A lot longer than took them to conquer most of the European nations. They used improvised weapons like hand grenades pistols, Molotov bottles. The Nazis wiped out the ghetto.
-The Disengagement from Gaza: The Jewish settlements in Gaza were uprooted, their homes, plans and fields destroyed. A traumatic day in the life of the Jewish State. This led to the 10/7 massacre. We gave it to them and instead of peace we got Hamas.
This is a direct result of the Israeli Deep State. They pressured Sharon the Prime Minister with legal persecution and dropped the allegations after he ordered the disengagement.
-1242 The burning of the Talmud in Paris. A few days before and after 9th Av. Talmud is the Jewish interpretations of Jewish Law, Ethics etc.. from thousands of years of conversations by scholar rabbis. Under pressure from the Catholic Church thousands of handwritten manuscripts were confiscated and burned. A big blow to the Jews. It was a part of the Catholic effort to suppress Freedom of religion. It were valuable and rare manuscripts.
-The videos of our starved hostages were released on the 9th of Av.
Conclusion: We are in a hard time right now. I wouldn’t rationalize and analyze this oddity,
It is what it is.
It will hopefully pass and not indicate a bad shift. I will pray for better days, for a release of the hostages and the end of the war with Hamas out and a new age for Gaza. One without radicalism. Your prayers too are appreciated. No dive into the demonic cloud.

The early Church was started by a Jew and His brethren. The Nation of Israel largely rejected their true Messiah, wanting instead a savior who would free them from Rome. Which treat of the attainment of instruction in wisdom, which wisdom is to be shown in the conduct of life, and consists in righteousness with regard to our fellow-creatures. 4. Which treat of the giving to the simple sagacity to discover what is right, by supplying them with just principles, and correct views of virtue and vice; and to the young man knowledge, so that he need not err through ignorance; and discretion, so that by pondering well these precepts, he may not err through obstinacy. Take the proverbs of other nations, and we shall find great numbers founded upon selfishness, cunning, pride, injustice, national contempt, and animosities. The principles of the Proverbs of Solomon are piety, charity, justice, benevolence, and true prudence. Their universal purity proves that they are the word of God.The use of the Proverbs. (1-6) Exhortations to fear God and obey parents. (7-9) To avoid the enticings of sinners. (10-19) The address of Wisdom to sinners. (20-33)1-6 The lessons here given are plain, and likely to benefit those who feel their own ignorance, and their need to be taught. If young people take heed to their ways, according to Solomon’s Proverbs, they will gain knowledge and discretion. Solomon speaks of the most important points of truth, and a greater than Solomon is here. Christ speaks by his word and by his Spirit. Christ is the Word and the Wisdom of God, and he is made to us wisdom.
(7-9) Fools are persons who have no true wisdom, who follow their own devices, without regard to reason, or reverence for God. Children are reasonable creatures, and when we tell them what they must do, we must tell them why. But they are corrupt and wilful, therefore with the instruction there is need of a law. Let Divine truths and commands be to us most honourable; let us value them, and then they shall be so to us.”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

As a boy, I recognized that the beautiful natural world and abundant life were created and felt awe, joy and appreciation. As a teenager, I spoke, from my heart, to God to express my gratitude for his creation, my life, and sending his son Jesus for our redemption; to ask forgiveness of my sins through Jesus and repent; to make my heart pure for Jesus to live and shine his light, truth and courage through me; and guide my life. The next day, I arrived home to find that my father had left. I felt stunned but also calm. One year later, I was injured playing a sport, ending all school athletics for me. I began to live only within the confines of the tangible world and popular culture while neglecting my spiritual dimension, drifting away from who I am as a person with little inner happiness. My life was off course and going nowhere. Then, I received a tremendous gift of love from my future wife coming into my life. Soon after, a phone call with my mom regarding the continuing bad effects of their divorce caused me to clearly see and feel the true sadness of my family break-up, and I sobbed uncontrollably, finally releasing my pent-up feelings. I earnestly prayed to renew my relationship with Jesus/God and specifically and clearly asked for guidance for my life. A few weeks later, my future wife asked me what I really wanted to become. The answer came up out of me as if it had been there all along waiting to be acknowledged as though I had been hardwired to follow a course but was only then realizing it. From that point forward, all I needed to do was my best through the challenges and sometimes struggles that awaited me, and I was provided with the strength and support to succeed in a career and provide for my future family. During our wedding ceremony at the church, I was unexpectedly overcome by what I believe was the Holy Spirit, the power and intensity of which felt stronger than love. Witnessing my children being born granted a rare glimpse into the miracle and truth of creation, with no faith needed, and that love is the most powerful force on earth as I would give up my life, in an instant, without any hesitation, to protect my child and spouse. When each of two elderly family members passed away, there was a surprising sense of peace, a holy peace, that permeated the entire room at the moment of death, and for several minutes after, that all those present felt and acknowledged in whispers. Right after my mom’s funeral driving home, I received a clear, telepathic communication in her voice that said, “It’s okay honey, I’m alright”, which is exactly the way she would say it. Looking back, it is clear to me that a path was provided for my life that was beyond chance or self-realization. The contrast between before versus after receiving the gift of my wife, renewing my relationship with Jesus/God and asking for guidance was too great to attribute to me alone or random events.

The Decolonial DelusionWhen victimism becomes a worldvie
As Oswald Spengler wrote, cultures can find themselves trapped in forms that do not belong to them. He called this condition “pseudomorphosis,” when an emerging cultural soul is forced to develop within the external structures of a dominant civilization. Spengler believed this happened to the Magian (Arab-Islamic) world after the Battle of Actium, when the eastward momentum of a rising cultural order was halted by Roman power. The result was not synthesis, but arrest: the deeper impulses of the new culture were shaped, and also misshaped, by a civilizational shell not of its own making.
A version of that dynamic can be seen today, not through empire but through ideology. The intellectual and political classes of the contemporary Middle East increasingly speak in a language developed elsewhere, for different experiences, different crises, and different wounds.
This language is decolonial ideology. What began as a framework for analyzing colonial legacies has ossified into a secular theology. In Western universities, NGOs, and activist spaces, it no longer questions power as it replaces thought with posture. History is flattened into morality; politics reduced to grievance. The world is split into binary roles: oppressor or oppressed, villain or victim. Context is discarded, complexity unwelcome, and identity elevated above all.

Decolonial ideology claims to be a framework for justice, but in practice, it offers something else: escape. It turns blame into worldview, grievance into identity, and self-examination into betrayal. It thrives in environments marked by dysfunction because it offers a ready-made explanation that demands nothing but a moral script and a permanent enemy.
Its intellectual roots lie in Marxist-Leninist thinking. Like Marx, it views history as a struggle between oppressors and oppressed. Like Lenin, it appoints a self-righteous vanguard to speak on behalf of the voiceless. But instead of class struggle, it deals in cultural grievance; instead of factories, it fixates on identity. Transplanted into the Middle East, the formula breaks down almost immediately.
First, it mistakes foreign fingerprints for the whole crime scene. The region’s core dysfunctions—nepotism, tribalism, and institutional stagnation—are not colonial remnants. They are locally manufactured and zealously preserved. Second, it imposes an ill-fitting colonial narrative on societies whose problems are largely self-inflicted. Third, it paralyzes reform: turning self-critique into betrayal and blame into political capital.
Another striking contradiction in the Arab world is this: societies that once exalted strength, pride, and honor now embrace a worldview built on fragility and grievance. A political culture shaped by stoicism and status has adopted a language that valorizes woundedness. The mismatch is glaring but almost never acknowledged.
That disconnect is amplified, not challenged, by the diaspora. In fact, the appeal of decolonial ideology is often strongest among diaspora communities in the West. Second- and third-generation Arabs and North Africans, caught between inherited identity and modern liberal norms, often adopt decolonialism as a moral anchor. It offers instant purpose, social legitimacy, and a ready-made narrative of justice. But what they defend is rarely a living society, indeed it’s a projection: an imagined homeland, purified of contradiction. From the safety of Paris or Toronto, they denounce repression they do not endure and romanticize regimes their families once fled. In doing so, they help export an ideology that excuses the very dysfunctions they claim to oppose.
And as this ideology travels, it mutates. The further it gets from reality, the more symbolic and dangerous it becomes. One of its most corrosive forms is the antisemitism now embedded in its rhetoric. In much of the Middle East, Israel is no longer treated as a state, but as a symbol, an abstract embodiment of colonial evil. The Jewish state becomes a screen for projection: the target of every grievance, humiliation, and failure. All of this becomes a conspiracy disguised as virtue. And it’s not incidental. It’s structural. A worldview built on oppression requires a permanent oppressor. If the West is too abstract, Israel—and by extension, the Jew—becomes the next convenient stand-in. This isn’t justice. It’s evasion.
That same worldview also demands conformity and punishes those who reject it. The contradiction deepens when we look at Arab states that have explicitly refused to adopt the language of permanent grievance especially in the Gulf. Countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain have prioritized strategic autonomy, modernization, and institutional development over victimhood narratives. They decline to play the role of the eternally oppressed and for this, they are treated with suspicion. Not for failure, but for refusing to fail in the prescribed way. Their success breaks the narrative.
At the same time, other regimes have learned to weaponize that very narrative. At the geopolitical level, the stakes grow sharper. Decolonial rhetoric has become a strategic tool for states that thrive on misdirection. The Islamic Republic of Iran cloaks its brutality in the language of resistance, using anti-imperial slogans to justify domestic repression and regional interference. Russia and China use the same playbook, dressing expansionist ambitions in post-colonial rhetoric to deflect criticism and discredit rivals. This isn’t theory. It’s strategy. Decolonialism has become the ideology of regimes that need enemies more than they need reform.
What begins as moral theater in the West becomes political cover elsewhere and intellectual dependency at home. That such a worldview has taken root in the Arab world is not merely surprising, it signals a deeper intellectual retreat. A region with a long tradition of legal reasoning, political thought, and cultural production now borrows its moral vocabulary from movements that would rather see it remain a victim than become a participant in its own recovery.
This dependency comes at a cost. When critique is imported unexamined, it erodes self-awareness. Societies begin to imitate resistance rather than confront their own realities. They chant, they posture but they do not ask questions. And in this performance, they remain suspended.
A culture that refuses to face itself cannot change. A politics built on deflection will eventually collapse. And a society that builds its identity on grievance will remain captive to it, forever demanding, never transforming. In the end, decolonial ideology is not a path forward. It is a delusion.
