Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changesr, not only in the country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster.
The purpose of President Trump is plainly visible and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. I’ve been praying about the Epstein situation for several days now; like many of you all here, I was initially very angry about our President dismissing the case and wanting to move on to other things. I have decided that is more important for the welfare of country and its citizens for President Trump to focus on undoing the messes that the Dems have created over the years and let God deal with those who have sinned against him. It is likely that evidence has been tampered with by the powers that be to the point where gaining convictions would be difficult at best. As much as I want to see justice handed down in this world, I think that it is more important to allow PDJT and his administration to restore law and order, economic stability and our country’s sovereignty.

PBS /NPR must be in total shock…never, ever thought this would happen. Created it themselves so it’s poetic justice, IMO. Like any member-subscribed organization, if it’s worthwhile, they need to cut the fat and appeal to those that enjoy their programming to financially support it….like any other non-profit group. We watched a program last night on beekeeping. It was chock full of black scientists who proclaimed climate change was causing the decimation of the bee population.

Many folks around here (Ozarks) have observed a lack of pollinators, especially honey bees.
They usually swarm my hummingbird feeder each summer. Have not seen them this year.
Forcing some gardeners to hand pollinate with small soft bristle paint brushes.
We still have butterflies, small wasps and bumble bees, etc.
But few honey bees.
I have a few spare ground hogs that I’ll gladly share with anyone who would like one. One ate one of my pumpkin gourds last night. Cuddly looking critter with a voracious appetite.

I used to quite enjoy the classical music program on NPR. In the last few decades however it turned into playing the same pieces over and over with a lot of commentary by a very smug, boring disc jockey, who of course would have had fits if he had been called such a pedestrian thing as a disc jockey.
Haven’t listened to them in nearly two decades. A shame really.
I left a message to my Senator to not cut PBS and NPR funding. I listen to classical music stations daily. These stations are providing us with music and its history from our Western civilization heritage. How is this making America great again by taking away this very valuable source of European cultural history? Do our politicians listen to Bach, Mozart, Beethoven? Do they watch Masterpiece Theater? This is another example of the ‘dumbing down’ of the American public. You’d think MAGA conservatives would never deny us access to our European roots and Western culture..

I listen regularly to classical music on my IPad while making bread…. perhaps not with the history commentary, but I also take classes at our local university so that’s not an issue. The point is…there are other sources. Same with opera. BYW, those classes are very popular and full, so there are still lots out there who appreciate the “roots and culture.” And (you will be happy about this), our Symphony gives a terrific “introduction to classical music” to all the 6th graders in our county annually (with pre-concert education in the classrooms provided). The theater holds 700+ and is filled at each concert. They are the future musicians and audience.
Public school exposure to the St. Louis Symphony in the 60’s is what began my lifelong love of classical music.
Watching the “Lone Ranger” TV show as a kid in the ‘50s got me to liking one classical record: “William Tell Overture”.

2024’s budget DEFICIT (spend > income) was $1.8 trillion, or $1,800 billion. THAT’s the scale of cuts we need just to get to break even.
And we have to underspend further to reduce the total debt balance, currently sitting at $36.6 trillion, or $36,600 billion. It currently takes about $900 billion a year to “service debt” / pay interest, which means we need about $2 trillion in underspend EACH YEAR to pay off the principle debt in 40 years.
In 2024, the gov spent $6,800 billion vs a $4,900 billion income in 2024. Trump’s tariffs are raising the income, let’s say it gets to $5,500 in, which means we need to reduce spend to $3,500 billion.
That means we have to HALVE today’s spending levels, and maintain that cut for the to be debt free. Inflation growth will be reduced as we eliminate debt, but the big unknown is future GDP growth.
In any case, simple numbers say we have a LONG way to go to get to stability. $9 billion to $3,000 billion is going to make a lot of politicians very cranky.
Your analysis fails to capture all projected revenue growth (beyond the tariffs noted). The country also needs a Fed that manages interest rates vis-a-vis the actual data rather than some estimates on what ‘might’ happen ‘if’ tariffs go into effect.
My guess is they will be cooperative for this first year but once midterms starts well

One thing I have noticed….they come out in force on the weekends…and seem to be more present on the focused threads….but there is now an infiltration on the Presidential thread, as well.
I used to be over at Breitbart a lot and the troll traffic was so predictable over there.. this is the case at many sites they frequent. When you are a regular, the patterns are easy to adjust too.
There were certain topics that they all flocked right into so that the amount of trolling was predicable.
We all got to know the trolls too.. so dealing with them becomes easier.
The secret is to wait until the thread has cooled down and they’ve moved onto the next one..
I used to scroll down and start my day down at the bottom where all the articles were at least 24 hours old.. the trolls were done so the thread would run along smoothly with the regulars.

Maybe so. As one who severely abused sodas when I was younger, I now rarely have them. When I finally got serious about losing weight and slimming up, sodas were the first thing I quit, opting for unsweet tea with a lemon wedge, which I consume all day long, lol. 180 calories a pop is difficult to work off in the gym if you’re drinking five or six a day.
But, as one who now has maybe half a dozen sodas a year, I would enjoy the real sugar in them. It does taste better. Dr. Pepper has put out some with real sugar, and they are better.
Boylan’s, a New Jersey company used cane sugar in their delicious sodas. Their crème soda is outstanding.
Drank sugary Coke as a kid; there was no flouride in the local water. I never had any cavities nor heart disease.
The key: my family never allowed kids to drink excessive amounts of soda pop. It was an occasional treat (as it was seen as a superfluous expense, thus not for every day consumption). I was encouraged to brush my teeth, expected to really — cleanliness is important. I was also made to play outside on nearly every day of the calendar.

Haven’t brushed with fluoride toothpaste in 30 years (I’m almost 40). Haven’t drank fluoridated water (unless no choice) in 20 with an RO system. I’ve never had a cavity in my life. Plus fluoride coats your teeth from toothpaste, and only lasts a few seconds. If you rinse, it’s gone. So I fail to see, especially in my personal life and the life of my family, any supposed benefits to fluoridation. Especially since most fluoride used is a by product of aluminum smelting, or the making of fertilizers
Okie….on the other hand, I grew up in a very rural area with well water, but it was so “soft”, as they said…. (no minerals), as a child I had LOTS cavities….no sodas at all, either. Never was exposed to “city water”, with fluoride, until I went to college.

I just came to post the same thing and say that’s enough for me to say this was yet another coordinated attack on Trump. I admit his original messaging was kind of disheartening but as some pointed out, he’s more privy to information than we are and he obviously knows something about the nature of whatever “files” they have. Still disappointed in government transparency and accountability as a whole and can understand anyone else’s frustration, but it’s far and away from being Trump’s fault. Of course the uniparty would set traps to detonate as specific times to impede Trump. Also probably being abetted by members of his current administration.

KEY WEST, Fla. (WKRC) – A woman who stopped at an intersection to allow a chicken to cross the road allegedly attacked another driver with bear mace for speeding by her and killing the bird.
According to an arrest report obtained by Law&Crime, 38-year-old Cynthia Sosa stopped at an intersection on July 9 “to let a chicken cross the road” when another driver “began honking at her and later passed her, running over the chicken.”
Sosa reportedly pursued the driver out of frustration about the chicken’s death. Upon catching up to the stopped driver, Sosa allegedly blocked the road in front of the victim’s vehicle, got out of her car and attempted to open their door.
Hubby and I believe we actually saw the reason why the chicken crossed the road. Where were driving thru NY on the way to NH. We got off 81 and decided to take the “scenic” route. As we were driving suddenly a chicken raced across the road in front of us. We’d slowed down to make sure nothing else would follow when out ran the farmer’s wife cleave in hand chasing the chicken…
Based on our observation the chicken crossed the road to get away from Old MacDonald’s wife. It did not want to be dinner!!!!!
Senate passed rescission bill. Now back to House to vote on changes. (Collins insisted AIDS funding for Africa go back in.) But PBS and NPR de-funded.
Collins was still a no, as was Murkowski. McConnell voted yes in final vote, so Vance not needed to break tie.

President Trump sent out a very strong message on Truth Social today. “[M]y PAST supporters have bought into this “bullshit,” hook, line, and sinker,” Trump said. Adding, “I don’t want their support anymore!”
As an investment in America, I’m long on Trump. If the next 42 months continue to trend like the last 6, the dividends we will reap will be huge.
I’m with you. I just think it is unwise to snub and ostracize the deplorables who elected him and provided the mandate he constantly mentions. It’s unseemly and bad politics. Worse, he’s saying he owes us no explanation for his inaction on the Epstein files. That’s unacceptable to this deplorable. I won’t even get into the disrespect he is showing to Epstein victims, clearly many of whom were children.
I think President Trump knows there far fewer MAGA Deplorables that give a crap about JE than the media, leftists, rinos, and never Trumpers would have the rest of the world believe; they are trying to use it as a splitter strategy against MAGA. Knowing Mike “Judas” Pence has the long knives out for President Trump….if Pence is calling for the release of the files/list, then we ought to know that this is both hurtful to the Trump/MAGA agenda AND it is hurtful to America.
I get it – we want justice for the abused minors we know are trafficked to the powerful.
Yet, this is the Swamp that’s now emboldened to call for for the release. Does anyone REALLY think justice will be served now?
