Reuters report cited a significantly different figure, stating a U.S. crude inventory build of only +0.8 million barrels.
A 19 mm barrel build would be the largest in a decade at least. The largest DOE crude build on record is 22 million barrels for the week ending April 17, 2020, when MBS had a tantrum in March because Putin refused to cut. KSA sent 20 VLCCs to Loop and added to, if not precipitated, the April 20, 2020, negative -$50/barrel plunge preceding the May 2020 expiry on April 21.

API is a private report, based on voluntary submissions from a subset of operators. Their data is usually cherry-picked.
Reuters gets their info from the DOE/EIA, which is GOVERNMENT-sourced and statistically modeled with a broader and more consistent data set.
Either the Trump administration is intentionally dampening the numbers or API is vastly punping theirs.

The President does have the explicit Constitutional authority to “mobilize a State’s militia.” But, they will be deployed only for a finite amount of time, then sent home. Presumably, for now, their work is done and they can go back to their private lives. “Thank you for your service.”
Per the violence at the raid on the cannabis farm, they are still needed to protect federally authorized activities.
*Half* of the National Guard troops are needed there, apparently. I wonder where the other half are needed?

the vote by VP Vance breaking the tie simply means that the bill to implement the rescission package now goes to the Senate floor for debate, proposed amendments, and then, eventually a vote to either pass or reject it;

Observation of future of gas cars vs EV. I have travelled rural south georgia the last couple months. A county of 17,000 (20 miles from interstate) recently got a big new multi pump Raceway gas/store. The local walmart upgraded their gas facility I’m sure in response. And what appears to be a multi pump Quik Trip is being built. I have noticed other newly built or under construction along the east/west corridors along the southern third of the state.
Like it or not, we do not have viable electric-vehicle technology. One day, it might be theoretically possible to use hydrogen fuel-cells. But it wouldn’t be as efficient as gasoline and diesel.

I’ve driven several hydrogen powered cars. We have no way to store hydrogen in gas or liquid form – they leak/ boil off. If you fill a car with hydrogen and come back a week later there isn’t much left in the tanks. You cannot store them inside because of explosion risks.
Hydrogen is a very difficult gas to contain and store. One major problem is that it can migrate through many materials that are impervious to any other gas. Many metals will experience hydrogen embritlement where the atomic hydrogen migrates into the structure where it recombines with other atomic atoms to form molecular H2 which does not permiate the structure. As this increases pressure builds and will cause structural defects that ultimately cause failure of the material. So, hydrogen is incompatible with comon piping systems. Rather expensive and moderatly exotic materials are required to contain hydrogen. Also, Hydrogen is not an energy source. At best it is a somewhat poor energy storage media.

The truth of the matter is that none of these renewable energies can survive globally, without the subsidies and tax breaks from governments around the world.

I think at the end of the day, there was a select group. I have no doubt that CIA and Mossad was an invisible hand. If wealthy and powerful people are involved what’s to say they didn’t pay the victims and have the victims sign an NDA.
Given the time from when Epstein was first tried to now is a long time frame. What’s preventing evidence from being tampered with, altered or destroyed. If there is a ‘client’ list showing it to the public would be a defense attorney’s dream. Talk about prejudicing the jury or destroying the defendants rights by giving evidence to the public.
The Epstein files and any evidence are the responsibility of the prosecutor who would be Bondi. Prosecutorial discretion gives the prosecutor the leeway to decide what evidence is relevant and what charges does the evidence support. The file is Bondi’s and due to her talking too much the mess is one she created and is responsible for. Plus the democrats put a vote, for releasing the Epstein files, before the House and Republicans killed the bill.
Trump is doing a great job for only being in office for 6+ months. Homan, McMahon, Rubio, Hegseth, Zeldin et al are doing great work. The Epstein saga is a sideshow meant to take the public eye off what is being accomplished. IMO election fraud should be the main focus going forward otherwise 2026 will see fraud on the 2020 level to derail Trump and destroy our country.

IMHO, President Trump is not doing himself any favors by continuing to bash anyone who is perplexed by this complete 180 degree turn on the existence of “The Epstein Files” which he spoke about many times during the campaign and which his AG Pam Blondi declared were “on my desk” and would be released “soon”!
Now, suddenly, there are no Epstein Files and we’re all just supposed to “Let it Go” and stop asking questions? Maybe they did get in there and find a stack of compromised files with no way of knowing which are true and which were manufactured by the IC to implicate people who did not commit any crimes but may have simply been in Epstein’s orbit at some point in their past (this would include President Trump). Then say that – and say that nothing will be released unless/until the files have been thoroughly verified, but don’t say that anyone who finds this whole episode confusing and concerning is now a “PAST supporter”!
My husband and I were at a dinner party last night with four other couples and this subject came up. Three people, out of ten, said that they thought Trump was on the list and that is why he won’t release it. Two of us pointed out that if that were the case, the Democrats would have released it before the election to end his candidacy. The other five were in a wait and see mode but we ALL agreed that the whole situation had been handled very badly…and these were ALL people who voted for Donald Trump as far as I know!
Retired Magistrate here: The Epstein case goes back to 2005. With everything President Trump has gone through and survived and the passing of the BBB bill, which actually does help a lot of American Citizens, I believe President Trump can’t believe that a lot of his supporters are focused on an issue that really will not affect of the lives of the average American citizen.
What will affect the lives of the average American citizen is arresting those currently engaged in child trafficking, securing the border, crime rate going down in most cities, lower taxes, possibility of no war with Iran or Russia and as a result no drafting of your children, building up of military, reduced gas and food prices, drilling for oil and gas, reducing interest rates and the list goes on.
Like President Trump has said before, he could find the cure for Cancer and people would still be upset with him. However, he didn’t expect this from his base.

Whatever Epstein did or not is one issue, but the other issue is how corrupt politicians and agencies used and is using Epstein. That needs to be exposed. President Trump is saying the corrupt system falsified/altered/destroyed records and facts. People need to know who, when, and why.
I’ d like to see president Trump appoint an independent special prosecutor to handle this so it doesn’t impinge on the important work he is doing. That way his involvement could be limited and the work removed from Bondi.

PDJT clearly underestimated the backlash from his base, crudely scolded his supporters in a public rant, supported Bondi et al. who declared the case essentially closed, and now has been forced to accept that he must allow more information to be revealed to effect damage control. Whatever the source(s) and reason(s) for his strategy and tactics, he now appears to understand that they were faulty, and a serious remedial disclosure action is immediately required.

Retired Magistrate here: I believe that President Trump thinks that the Republicans won’t keep the house and that is why he is going “Trump warp speed” to do everything he wants to accomplish before the mid terms. That is why he is so frustrated that many of his supporters are so focused on Epstein, who is dead. So, I don’t think that it is President Trump that is making the crack in MAGA; I think that it is some of his supporters who are making the crack.

And will remain so for at least most of the 21st Century.

I am potentially OK with charging a nominal sales tax on house purchase. It could get wrapped into loan, negotiated between buyer/seller, shared by lien holder etc. But having been taken care of at purchase time, the state has no further claim on my property.
A local radio host shared about an older man who had paid off his 30 year mortgage, but had to sell his home because he couldn’t afford the property taxes in retirement. In my area (not a well-to-do area) property taxes on an average home have gone into the 5 figures.

You know how I know there’s something not to be trusted about this interest in the Epstein files.
This site is full of names I’ve never seen pushing concern about Trump’s honesty, his ability to win, and his mental health.
Then there’s the Democrats demanding the files.
And the grifters on the right jumping in for pay or some other gain – Tucker, Bannon, et. al.
If anyone believe these files exist in full and unaltered after being under the control of the DOJ/FBI, then they are too stupid to vote or even house sit a property.
Epstein was an IC operation that benefitted the CIA, the Mossad, and likely MI6 if not other so-called US allies. As such, any information of value will never be released.
If your concern is justice for victims, maybe focus on today’s victims. There are toddlers being trafficked everyday in the US and many other children and adults being held and forced into prostitution. If your concern is cleaning up the government corruption, then you are sol as they are too powerful and too entrenched.
Democrats only calling for the files to be released to fuel the fire of discontent. They know the files could only be released in heavily redacted form to protect the accusers and the alleged clients that haven’t been charged. Releasing a bunch of blacked out pages would make this all worse…which is what democrats want.
They also know it’s been cleaned up, probably using some of Hillary’s bleach.
Epstein is dead. No children are currently in jeopardy. The DOJ can’t just release names from a list – unless they are ready to prosecute. It’s over until God sorts out justice.
There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of children being trafficked in North America right now.

In response to LFOD603: Can’t say what I want to say or I will go immediately into moderation, again. Let’s just say I believe 47 was speaking directly and specifially to several people who post here when he said “I don’t want your support anymore.” The man is clearly fed up with all the attention the Epstein thing is getting, and fed up with the people going online saying he has lost their support.
As someone pointed out, Epstein was NOT on Trump’s list of campaign issues. The short of it is, get over it or GTFO.
