Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changesr, not only in the country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster.
The purpose of President Trump is plainly visible and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 170 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

1.) Trump has directed DHS/ICE to conduct as many mass deportations as is physically possible… in particular, getting the Bad Dudes out as a priority. This has been happening, and is ongoing.
2.) Self-deportation… this is a policy focus, and is happening… the Administration has actually put up cash incentives for self-deportations, with the threat of massive fines if you choose otherwise. You CAN NOT physically deport 15 million people in a couple years, so this will be a big factor.
3.) Border effectively closed, at this point… something like a few hundred crossers per day now, as opposed to 5,000, or whatever the ridiculous number was tis time last year
4.) The Trump administration has been fighting against activist Federal Judges at every turn… and they are not giving up in those fights… and they are winning those fights. At this point, Hector can get deported to ANY THIRD COUNTRY that the administration damn well pleases… like… oh, I don’t know… South Sudan, for example.
5.) Alligator Alcatraz… an actual detention center surrounded by alligators… yikes
6.) Continued DHS/ICE raids across the country… and now going so far as deploying the U.S. Military to keep Federal Officers safe

My hope is that he’s using it as a massive bargaining chip for something far greater than this issue. Not sure what that could be, but he’s proven time and again that he’s a deal maker, and like a cat he always lands on his feet. I will continue to vote for him, but he will undoubtedly lose the mid-terms unless there is something MASSIVE on the other side of the negotiation. Again, I don’t know what that could be.

My brother Steve died from complications of an aggressive esophagus cancer last month. He was fully vaxed and had all of the boosters. No one in our family ever had it before! It is absolutely outrageous that the Austin Fire Chief, Joel G. Baker, would not allow highly trained firefighters from Austin to respond to Kerrville. Because of this egregious dereliction of duty, LIVES WERE VERY LIKELY LOST BECAUSE OF CHIEF BAKER’S DECISION!
Deployment orders came down from the State of Texas on July 2. We would’ve been pre-deployed before the waters even began to rise!

Well, for me at least, if a deal unfortunately but a reality in today’s political world, had to be made to pass what was needed for the country to move forward, the Epstein case was a low hanging fruit to use. I couldn’t care less for the Epstein lists or files. The people who might be involved are going to get off no matter what, already have. They are sick evil people and they will find their most certain punishments. But what does that really have to do with everyday America which has been mightily attacked and struggling the last 4 years?
The people needed the BBB. It’s far from perfect, but it does some things we voted for. Epstein files were at the bottom of my list of why I voted for Trump. This is only me and what I want, but unless someone shows me more reason to care about the Epstein issue, I am not going to give it much anttention anymore and haven’t for awhile.
If that deals was made (and I do not believe it was) why were not some Democrats (who are bound to be on the list) signing on to the BBB?

If some lefty in good standing with the committee that makes the award were to nominate, that might mean something. Someone considered a “war criminal” e.g. Netanyahu, by the lefty world is not in that category.
To get to Abraham, you first need to address Gaza… which is a major ongoing issue for Israel… both in terms of achieving their objectives and otherwise. I’d expect Israel to make concessions to come to some agreeable resolution to Gaza with D.C. (and, to some extent, Qatar and whoever else is a key player, but mostly D.C.)… but I’d also expect some demands by Israel to be met. IMO, that whole Gaza/Abraham dynamic provides even more fuel to the fire to which you hint… the hard push to move toward Abraham 2.0 is now.
I lean toward your first paragraph to answer for Epstein case flatlining. Someone here brought SD’s independent mention of Netanyahu’s visit on his earlier Epstein post too. Timing. And it might have been last minute to answer for the poor DOJ handling.
Yesterday, the WSJ (spit) had the Epstein “no there, there” headline and immediately below it was the Netanyahu visiting President Trump headline. They know. We all know. Peace is the Prize, but there is a cost. And its clear what it was to me.
So Netanyahu came visiting. I’m disgusted, on principle. Rule 1: Don’t start wars. Rule 1a: If you start a war, finish it.
A turkey shoot was begun with Iran, then interrupted. The Regime of Clerics remains, and the Iranian people are being rounded up, arrested, and executed in a frenzy of paranoia.
China is denying giving military aid to Iran. Which means, that is probably exactly what they are doing. The war not for regime change must inevitably lead to the Cleric Regime turning to China for protection. Now that China has a rail head in Iran, it will be no surprise when Chinese troops start disembarking there. And that turns the tables.
By failing to finish this war, we have surely set up a future war in Iran, that we might not be able to win, and that involves China. I hope not.
The hit on Iran was focused on (1) wreck their nuke ambitions, (2) take out as much of their air defense as possible, (3) take out as much of their ability to fire missiles as possible, (4) take out as many of their military leadership as possible, and (5), take out as many of these nuke scientists and technicians as possible.
We (the US) were in it for #1 and maybe #5. Israel was in it for all the above.
It was NEVER an objective to “win a war” with Iran. The objective was primarily to wreck their nuke ambitions, and secondarily to severely hurt their ability to hit Israel with missiles.

The House bill, as originally passed, also only included a standard deduction for seniors — “no tax on Social Security” was never in the bill. So I am not sure that the Senate parliamentarian had anything to do with it.
Social Security is taxed and you get a four-year increase of six thousand dollars on your standard deduction.
In Florida language it is like you were promised you would be given a nice little bay boat. Instead, you are loaned a johnboat for four years with a paddle and the azzholes want to berate you because you don’t kiss their butt for furnishing the paddle.
The tax on SS could not be removed with the BBB because of laws on how SS is set up. If the administration is telling the truth they said they will address the SS tax in another way and until then they gave the deduction for now. This has been discussed and explained many times. They will address it if they are going to keep their word. We shall see if they do.
No tax on Social Security could not be implements in the BBB via the reconcilliation process.
Allegedly, there is a plan to introduce it in another bill, perhaps as an amendment to another bill.
I am disappointed, but I understand the limits of the BBB process.

There’s a reason for this and it’s been discussed many times before the BBB was passed. They can’t stop the tax on SS through this bill. The administration said it will be addressed in another way but for now there’s a deduction increase. This is not news that SS is still being taxed.

The bill is on-line. It is a disservice to people who read this blog to post inaccuracies. The deduction for seniors (reduction in taxes) is phased out for couples who make more than $150K. It is effective for years 2025 to 2028.
For couples, the additional deduction is 0 for income $250,000 and above.

I agree Karoline did indeed look uncomfortable. I’m sure she knew what she was saying was never going to be accepted as the truth to the majority of Americans. Epstein blackmailed a lot of important people while abusing little girls. The government does not want what he wrote to be revealed, and because of its nature I would predict that they can’t release any of it.
