You guys know the background. You know the context. You know the history. You know all the nuances and Machiavellian manipulations that have brought us to this very specific moment.
Now, you are President Donald Trump and you are in a conversation with Vladimir Putin; a geopolitical ‘adversary’ whose current status was created by the same intelligence system operators that created your defined ‘enemy’ status within your own country. You and Putin were both targeted by the same intelligence system, the CIA.
President Putin is essentially ambivalent to your targeted position, but defines his adversary as your Central Intelligence Agency. You want to cut the Gordian knot, change the geopolitical world, create a strategic alignment; but to do that you need Putin to accept you do not view him as the enemy. You also need to prove you have control over the apparatus he views as a threat. How do you prove you have control over the agency?
Perhaps President Trump instructs the CIA to send one public message. A message that: #1) outlines the CIA’s dual targeting of Trump and Putin; #2) that simultaneously proves your control over the CIA silo.
Was this the motive for the timing of the message from CIA Director John Ratcliffe?
As a singular datapoint a message to Putin through the CIA proving control sounds crazy.
However, when added to the timeline and overlaying even more events today, its not so crazy.
After the House sent the BBB to the Senate, President Trump went completely quiet about Russia-Ukraine conflict. However, as soon as the Big Beautiful Bill was completed, President Trump notes a call with President Putin.
On the other side of the dynamic, Vladimir Putin said this:

Let’s look at the timeline with new datapoints to add.
- President Trump said publicly he had no prior knowledge of the Ukraine drone attack against Russia’s long-range bomber fleet.
- President Trump then held a phone call with Vladimir Putin to affirm his lack of forewarning.
- President Trump then holds another phone call with Putin to discuss the Iran nuclear issues.
- President Trump then publicly says at the G7 in Canada, it was a big mistake to take Russia out of the G8; further saying -repeatedly- that sanctions hurt both sides, and there is a cost to sanctions.
- President Trump then bombs the Iranian nuclear facilities; and two days later Putin says there is no doubt in his mind that President Trump is committed to peace.
- The U.S. then delays sending additional patriot missiles to Ukraine.
- Yesterday the U.S. says the 2016 predicate for removing Russian officials from the USA was based on fraud within the intelligence community, per CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
- Today, after the BBB bill exits the Senate and is through the rules committee in the House – looking like a certain vote to approve; and after the CIA public statement outlining the false case against Russian diplomats, President Trump holds another phone call with Vladimir Putin.

If the CIA announcement was the ‘one ping‘ message to Putin highlighting the dynamics of control, it would make sense Putin and Trump would speak immediately thereafter. This timeline does not appear to be coincidental.
ADD: In much the same way that President Obama previously told outgoing Russian President Dimitri Medvedev: “This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.” To wit Medvedev replies: “I understand. I transmit this (inaudible) to Vladimir,” President Trump is directly telling Putin a similar message after the BBB is beyond the Senate.
The difference between President Obama and President Trump in these geopolitical resets is the openness of Trump in his public communication toward similar issues.

Years ago, I read Dave McGowan’s Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon which at the time had been freely posted online.
Recently I bought a physical copy as a reference for whenever I decide to re-read it.
McGowan’s work has been discussed from time to time on the Treehouse, including from the now Treehouse-absent Reed Walker.
After I had read weird scenes a couple times, I definitely regarded some of the songwriters I had once admired with quite a substantial amount of ‘suspicious cat’.
It was not nor is not just Laurel Canyon.

So many were the musicians I emulated when I was first learning to play decades ago. Amazing to see them in this light.
Another angle to it I often wondered about was the deprecation of any talents with traditional values.
The music moguls didn’t manage to sink John Denver (who was a fine songwriter), for all their efforts.
But weren’t Seals and Crofts purposefully destroyed for having the wrong view on abortion?
I was not aware of that history with Seals and Crofts and would be interested to learn more.
In my own case, I have been shut out of the local music scene for
1) Positing a non-deep state view of the money laundering operation in Ukraine
2) Calling out local politicians and c of c for slavish branch covidian compliance
3) Probably, vocalizing support for President Trump.
In the town where I live, I was told that venues hiring musicians are required to utilize a booking agent according to some local ordinance.
A restaurant manager who did hire me a couple times, going around the agent, showed me the locally approved booking agent’s facebook page, replete with Ukrainian (CIA) flag background.
I have trouble enjoying most of the music I grew up obsessed with.
With 8 years and counting off the booze, when I try to listen to the genres of music I loved, most of it instantly make me think of/momentarily relive various altered states of mind I found myself in when I used to hear those tunes.
I be often wonder if other folks who got clean struggle with the same.
It makes you wonder who indeed inspired those sounds..
There is some of it that I don’t listen to any longer and will never sing again.
At one point, I could play and sing a nice version of “Find the Cost of Freedom” by CSNY. Since Dave McGowan lifted the veil for me, I can’t do it, as I find the lyrics fraudulent considering the source.
Further, it is fair to say that some of the first songs I learned on guitar were by Neil Young. Neil’s appearence in Weird Scenes and his later Branch Covidian thug censorship of others laid to rest my ever playing or singing another Neil Young song.
And then there is Steve Earle, who is part of another generation, from other canyons.
There was a time when I enjoyed his music.

To my uneducated mind, it does not seem realistic to expect Russia to make significant concessions.
I’ve been saying for over a year that Russia has nothing to negotiate. They are in the catbirds seat.
The US can’t escalate. Sanctions will do no good.
Trump’s best play, and I’ve been saying this for at least a year, is to flip the script:
Drop the sanctions. Announce an investigation into the Nordstream bombing and Moscow terror attacks. Fire all military or civilian or contractor involved in launching missiles into Russia last Fall/Winter.
And announce that the IRS/Treasury is launching a full audit to trace every penny of Ukraine funding with the help of DOGE. Wherever that money leads. Make the audit results public. Prosecute anyone who stole money or received kickbacks.
Then meet with Putin to discuss the next Ukraine elections, a treaty barring Ukraine permanently from NATO membership, and a joint reconstruction plan for Ukraine as well as a Denazification program.
It’s not my responsibility to pay for Ukraine’s reconstruction.
Let them do it themselves.

Working on a very detailed response.
Well that is interesting. Because my study of WWII says the West tries to rationalizes the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact as the harbinger of WWII.
Simply not true. Many fallacies are being made about seeing the past through a lens of being caught off guard.
The first being there were many Pacts from that era, in that part of the World. Pacts between the three Baltic States many before 1933. Pacts between Finland. Pacts between Poland, as an outcome of White Russian affinity with Poles/Baltic States to fight the Bolshevistism of Leninism of the early ’20s.
Then don’t forget to add to this mess.
Pacts recognizing these Pacts from perspectives of the League of Nations.
Many of these pacts originated from Nationalistic Pride in my opinion. With unsettled roots that go back to the Napoleon period of 1800’s that simply did not address the scope of that Nationalistic Pride stemming out of 16th/17th century Europe.

Because I was forced into early retirement we are not well off financially, so I typically search the Internet to see if I can find certain movies, audiobooks, PDF books, and such online for free.
I searched relentlessly, but could only find it on OK.RU, so I Saved it to My Favorites, and watched it for free.
I prefer to Not download, when I can just watch a movie online, but I would like to possibly watch it again later, so I save it.
