WASHINGTON DC – Most House Democrats joined with Republicans on Tuesday to quash an effort to impeach President Donald Trump over his weekend Iran strikes.
Rep. Al Green’s impeachment resolution was tabled on a 344-79 vote, with 128 Democrats joining all 216 Republicans to kill the measure.
Those included House Democratic leaders, who have been wary of pursuing new impeachments after two prior Trump impeachments failed during his first term. Still, dozens of Democrats voted to keep Green’s resolution alive. (read more)

There really should be IQ tests to vote and to run for office.
At least a test on the Constitution that a real cave man could pass.

In addition, must be able to pass basic Civics test, including answering questions about the U.S. Constitution, that they swear to uphold. Written tests, no true or false, in a monitored setting BEFORE they are sworn in. If they do not pass, they must take test again before they assume their Congressional Seats.
I do not think this is too much to ask of those who supposedly represent us for a very generous salary and all the accompanying perks.
Drug testing would also be appropriate.

Article 1, Section 8, placed the power “to declare War” firmly in the hands of the Congress. Yet, the only thing that Congress ever did was to pass a “House Resolution” which says that the President can do things without … Congress … getting its pristine fingers dirty.
(Now, those same “pristine fingers” want to impeach this(!) President for doing something that some of them just don’t like. Boo hoo.)
