Moving the goal post and rewriting history… now the objective wasn’t to get rid of Iran’s nuclear capability, but to “negotiate a peace deal between Iran and Israel”.
Best way to do one (negotiate peace) was to make sure the other happened (stop Iran’s nuclear capability).
The goal post may have totally been what President Trump had in mind all along.
The only reason peace needed to be negotiated was because Israel bombed Iran first. So without Israel’s actions, there’s no need to “negotiate peace between Iran and Israel”… it’s just a circular argument to claim otherwise.
When the Trump team set out to make some sort of deal with Iran, they probably didn’t expect that to be overcomplicated by an actual WAR SCENARIO between Israel and Iran. The INTERPRETATION at the time of Trump bombing the nuclear sites was that the U.S. was now directly involved in whatever war Israel was prosecuting. So now “DC_Draino” wants to claim “Oh yeah, I totally knew all along that Trump was playing chess while Iran and Israel were playing checkers”… I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THAT.

It’s a bit off-thread, but ICE can simply say it is going to follow SCOTUS, not a District Court judge. And if the judge issues any more stay orders, a quick appeal to the circuit court should help. The circuit court is probably not going to disobey SCOTUS.
The federal marshals, who would be the likely ones to actually go out and enforce a judge’s order, are part of the DOJ (executive branch), not the court system (judicial branch).

I’ve been trying not to write this here. My sister once dated a man from Iran here on a student visa. Not sure how to spell his name but it was pronounced Sa-heed. He taught me how to drive a stick shift.
When his visa expired he was sent back to Iran where he promptly committed suicide. Can’t believe how the last 96 hours or so has caused that wound to bleed again.
Sorry to hear that story and not sure if this relates, but I work with an Iranian immigrant. Out of nowhere without any prompting or political conversation, he said to me, “The best thing my parents ever did was get me the hell out of Iran.”
