Although I was a member of the Texas and Florida BAR for 30+ years,
I was primarily a Medical Malpractice Defense Atty and have prosecuted No RICO cases…
RICO. which co-insides with most of the basic principles of the essence of our existing “law”, actually makes prosecution more difficult in many cases due to the fact that it adds the requirement that the defendant(s) must be proven to have connections with organized crime of some sort when the offence was committed.
These folks hollering “USE RICO” over, over, and over again, simply do not understand the RICO law and it’s purposes. It is used infrequently due to the fact that it is just not suited for prosecution of most cases.
In Rudy’s cases in NYC, it was a simple matter for him to prove connections to the 7 major crime “families” in the NY area.
I did prevail (“win”) in various courts, some 105 cases, and have represented Clients before the Florida and Tennessee Supreme Courts…

Food inflation for Russia, as of April, hit 12.66%, with general inflation resting at 10.2%. This does not account for the soaring prices of staple food products like potatoes, which have tripled in price over the past year. “On a daily basis, people are not buying smartphones and television sets,” Central bank governor Elvira Nabiullina said. “They are buying food. If prices there are growing faster, it forms high inflationary expectations.” This is precisely why I note that issues like the Japanese rice crisis are causing overall confidence to erode….”

Colkitto: I’ve read the book, along with “The Frontiersman” and “Wildnerness Empire.” Indians, galore. My favorite was “The Frontiersman.” There are two more books in the series, but, after reading three, you get the idea. I am familiar with much of the geography described in the books and have been to places such as Lake George and Fort Ticonderoga.
My other fav was the one about Tecumseh. Though they all are great reading. I followed Sullivan’s route from nj through PA to the battle of Newtown site
Right in my neighborhood. Glad to see another WNYer here. Yes, we learned early to stockpile in case of shutdowns during winter storms. Becomes a habit here even though we might only get one big storm a winter. Most of the time the highway depts. keep everything open or reopened quickly. Great place to live even though the politics are undesirable in NYS.
We have a great highway department in West Seneca.
They do a great job with everything from snow removal to flood evacuations.
In a flood, the only thing that can go through the deep water is the large front end loaders and the water rescue team.

Never forget the Blizzard of ’77
I used to live on an island off the coast of Maine and I know how to stockpile. No matter where I live I always have a pantry full of canned and dried food and at least 4 gallons of water. I have a sunshower, all kinds of extra matches, a couple of Sterno stoves and quite a bit of Sterno. I have a lot of batteries and a battery operated radio, battery operated Lantern, and of course multiple flashlights.
I also have a well-supplied car. Depending on where I’ve lived I needed lots of drinking water or a blanket to stay warm in. A car emergency supply kit some food such as Munchies mostly but at least there’s something to eat.
When I see people open their trunks and there’s nothing in it I can’t believe it. How can you drive around with nothing in your car in case something happens and there’s no one around to help. I asked a woman that once and she said oh I just call my husband. Well if you’re on the mainland and your husband’s on an island are you in the middle of the desert and your husband’s who knows where or maybe you don’t have a husband you’d be in big trouble with nothing in your trunk to help you out.
I turned a very small guest room, located off the kitchen, into a huge walk-in pantry with all kinds of food supplies, especially imported items that we use on a constant basis (tea, a one example.). Also have some sealed survival supplies in 5 gallon containers in the cellar…good for 25 years. They will actually be passed along to younger family members when we no longer need them.
From previous experiences, the trunk of my car has a couple of those odds n ends sofa throws (light blankets) to use for victims of road side accidents, a pair of old sneakers to change into for emergencies, a couple of large trash bags, etc. In years past, I also had a disposable camera to record essential info involving accidents.
Smart to do.
Be Prepared. Always a good motto.
Could be for any event:snow storm, fire, flood, tornado, hurricane, earthquake, electric grid failures, disruption of food delivery, medical emergency, criminal activity, etc.
Lots to prepare for.

When I was in San Diego in August of 1998 & 1999 after a bible camp in Pine Valley (in the mountains east of the city), outside the supermarkets there were people allowed to set up and recruit names and distribute literature to take back California from the “white man”.
This was one of my all time best evidence uncovers I ever found and a major part of why I was a huge Pat Buchanan supporter in his Populist insurgency campaigns in 92,96, & 2000. I did my best to try and get this to as many people as I could back in the 90’s. Mailed them to media,congress, patriot groups etc.

In the 1980’s there used to be a ” Right to Life” party in NYS, which I was a part of until it fizzled out. You need at 50,000 votes in each general election to maintain a line in the ballot in NYS.

The ones invoking the Insurrection Act were probably the same ones who activated the National Guard and Reserves from all 50 states and brought them in to “restore order”. That would be the Commander in Chief (CIC) of those members of the Armed Forces, President Trump.
He’s the only one with the authority to do so in an emergency or time of war. Otherwise he generally coordinates with the local governor/mayor when they request support.

If you’re the media, you call it a “mostly peaceful protest.” Normal people might call it an “insurrection.”
But “insurrection” is not quite right, either. “Insurrection” implies a violent revolt against the government by its own citizens, not violence by uninvited foreigners who refuse to leave.
I suppose you could call it a riot, but when its foreigners claiming ownership of the land, it’s a bit more than that.
So, the question remains: What do you call it when foreigners:
illegally enter the country,
refuse our requests that they leave,
assert ownership over the land,
attack our people, places and government,
under the colors of their foreign flag while burning the American flag, and
their foreign leaders urge them on?

It is my opinion that Walmart and Sam’s have a kickback program with the US government. If you go into a Sam’s it is crawling with illegals buying huge flat bed carts of product. They go through the self check out lines and then walk out with a spot check on one item on the top of the stack. Same for Walmart.

Dustin Grage, a Minnesota native, covered the vote, which led to absolute mayhem in the state legislature. Gov. The Rhode Island-based company operates 53 distribution centers and delivers fresh and frozen products to over 30,000 locations across the United States and Canada, including supermarket chains, e-commerce providers, natural product superstores, independent retailers, and food service customers.
“The Company is working actively to assess, mitigate, and remediate the incident with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity professionals and has notified law enforcement,” it added. “Pursuant to its business continuity plans, the Company has implemented workarounds for certain operations in order to continue servicing its customers where possible. The Company is continuing to work to restore its systems to safely bring them back online.”
This disclosure follows widespread reports on social media since Thursday that the company’s systems were down and employees were having their shifts canceled.
UNFI has not yet revealed the nature of the attack or whether the attackers stole any data from the company’s network. Additionally, no ransomware operations have claimed responsibility for the breach. As announced on May 20, the company will release its financial results for the fiscal 2025 third quarter this Tuesday.
“We are assessing the unauthorized activity and working to restore our systems to safely bring them back online. As we work through this issue, our customers, suppliers, and associates are our highest priority,” UNFI spokesperson Inès de Miranda told BleepingComputer.

There is a seven part documentary coming out on July 10th called “The Religion Business” which exposes all of the loopholes in the 501C3 “charitable” industrial complex. While I do not want the government to have any say in how churches operate, I have become increasingly frustrated over the blatant misuse of the tax code to filter money to organizations and foundations that are clearly involved in actions that are unethical! The whole system needs to be overhauled, IMHO!
Years ago I started to become fed up with the whole idea of non-profits and not-for-profits (I can never remember the difference, because there isn’t much of one).
One big issue locally was taxes and tax-exempt entities, and I started thinking, what if I just decided to start a charity, based in my home, could I stop having to pay property taxes, and I realized that I might actually be able to get away with it.
You see some adult children in families with prominent names politically, they all start charities and pay themselves a yuge salary, and then they have their connections in government to make sure they have money coming in.
They actually think they are doing good too.
That is exactly what I have seen and I am equally frustrated! The entire “industry” has become a VERY lucrative business and all of the “non-profit” Foundations are totally corrupt!
Once the 16th Amendment was passed, the race to avoid paying income tax was on and people have been manipulating the system ever since, all in the name of “charity”! Sadly, many churches have also fallen into this trap and pastors are now “entertainers” and “business managers” far more often than they are Shepherds or teachers! Nepotism is a rampant problem and most people in the church simply do not want to see it! (Just like with members of Congress, everyone recognizes the overall problem but somehow thinks “their” guy is okay!)
Among ALL of the horrible things that “Shrub” Bush did, I think his creation of “The Office of faith Based Initiatives” ranked very high up on the list of worst policy decisions EVER! Mixing government money with “charitable organization” created the spider web of corruption that has led to many of the problems that we are trying to fix today!
