I think free America has a pretty similar opinion of Californians and I state that having lived there over sixty years. When looking to relocate, I found locals very suspicious of the ‘ugly Californian’.
The Mexico problem you outline was with us even when I was young and that was a long, long time ago. In my opinion it’s only gotten worse and so has California and its spread isn’t contained by a potential border since humans there, like I did, can go from state to state without restriction.

Suddenly, a crew from the power company was on our land, walking up to a particular meter. The meter itself had reported and described an outage. They quickly saw where a tree limb had fallen on a line, then traced the problem to their cable-splice which had apparently been pulled loose. They immediately identified which of the two splices was inoperative, and within minutes had replaced it. “Power back on.”
And we never called to report anything to the power company! The meter had already done it. Even before we realized that anything was wrong.

That is pretty cool. However… I wonder if those same meters will be plugged in to your social monitoring and automatically report “posted support for MAGA” and automatically deactivate that meter…

At some point we need to understand that while we are willing to accept white people from South Africa, we should NOT be willing to accept white people from the UK with the same enthusiasm. On my local Nextdoor app there are all sorts of posts about protests for the upcoming Flag Day celebrations. Is there anything we elderly homebodies can do to support the 250th Celebration of our Flag?
Maybe fly a flag? I see small flags for sale in my area, mainly at dollar and discount stores. I think Wegmans has them too.
Or a hand-made sign — congrats to Army for 250th anniversary —or similar .
I’m beginning to think Flag Day on Saturday is going to be very interesting. I suppose if you want to fly the American flag in California you’ll have to charter a plane to carry it through the skies to prevent vandalism.
Alternatively, you could watch on tv the military parade planned for D.C.on Saturday to celebrate the 250th.

Paying for a riot is relatively cheap and there are 10’s of Millions of Dollars stock piled in the NGO’s funding the violence. This is the money protected by the Federal Law Suits vs USAID … and Law suits vs the current Administration reclaiming money sent to the States.

The place to kill USAID funding and most, if not all, other NGO funding is in the annual appropriations bill(s).
I don’t think that there is any NGO funding contained in the MANDATORY funding categories that the reconciliation bill is addressing.
I could be wrong. But if so, maybe someone can SPECIFY where NGO funding happens within mandatory funding and not in one or more of the annual appropriations bills that is part of the DISCRETIONARY funding that is taken up annually.
