Based on your thoughtful observations, I finally got around to watching Fury. Excellent movie, Rah. I’m a student of military history so I was familiar with all the Sherman variants you mentioned. One particularly fearsome variant was the British “Firefly” a specially modified Sherman fitted with a British 17 pounder high velocity gun. German tank commanders went after those first.
Yes the Firefly was. But the Brits needed them all because it was they which were facing the bulk of Panzer divisions until the breakout. That 17 pounder was actually a bit more powerful than the German 88. Besides at the time of it’s Development McNair was still alive and dictating US Armor doctrine.
Read all about McNair’s not-invented-here syndrome. A good anecdote for administrative hubris in organizational culture.

As a retired edicator I’m continually amazed about what even supposedly well educated people are willing to believe is “true”. This “climate change” ‘chit is basically nothing more than magical thinking . . . just virtue signalling symbolism.
Similar scene awhile ago at a parts house. The counter man tried to tell me that “these modern engines can tell the difference between 10-40 wt oil and 20-50wt motor oil”. He said this with an authority that he simply didn’t have. It was obvious to me that he’d never been on the inside of an engine and was instead just repeating something he had read and was expected to pass on to customers.
Should have known better than to ask — traditional “parts men” the guys who actually know something about cars—no longer exist.
I guess I was absent on the day they taught that the engines have sensors to “tell the difference in oil weight”. I guess he must have really been a salesman which in my experience of automotive area is quite possibly the lowest form of life on earth, only slightly above whale excrement.
Oil temperature, yes, both motor & transmission, usually included in a tow package with heavy duty cooling system too.
Only sensor that was ever included to differentiate any fluid was on E85 capable cars so the <PCM> ie computer could tell how much alcohol was in the fuel as alcohol does not have the um… <BTU’s> that gas does so it has to inject more fuel in based on the sensor reading percentage.
20-50 oil would only be necessary if you were running in someplace hot like the desert or death valley.
5-30 or less in say Alaska. Always the big one “what the manufacturer recommends” in their included book or perhaps web addy or could be a 3d tag to use with your phone camera now.🙄

Biography: Nicknamed ‘Old Hickory’, Jackson served as the 7th President of the United States (1829-1837). The son of Irish immigrants, he was orphaned at the age of 14. Jackson began his career as a lawyer in Tennessee, becoming a land speculator and was one of the 3 founders of the city of Memphis in 1819.
After joining the Tennessee Militia, Jackson rose to become the General in charge. He fought in the War of 1812, defeating the Red Sticks at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in 1814 and the British in The Battle of New Orleans in 1815.
Jackson ran for president in the 1824 election, but the House of Representatives voted in John Quincy Adams as president in the second instance of a contingent election after no candidate won a majority of electoral college votes. Jackson railed against this as a “corrupt bargain” and he and his supporters formed the Democratic Party in response. Jackson was eventually succeeded Adams in 1828 and became the 7th President.
His two terms in office were marked by several important events. Believing that the National Bank was a corrupt institution, he authorized its dismantling, and in 1835 he became the only president to pay off the National Debt. He confronted South Carolina during the Nullification Crisis, eventually ending the dispute by amending controversial tariffs and threatening to use military force. In 1830 he signed the highly controversial Indian Removal Act, which forcibly moved Native Indians to Indian territories, and he also vehemently opposed abolitionism.

“The descent of the Holy Spirit at the day of Pentecost. (1-4) The apostles speak in divers languages. (5-13) Peter’s address to the Jews. (14-36) Three thousand souls converted. (42-47)1-4 We cannot forget how often, while their Master was with them there were strifes among the disciples which should be the greatest; but now all these strifes were at an end. They had prayed more together of late. Would we have the Spirit poured out upon us from on high, let us be all of one accord. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

never in my lifetime have I known so many people to have renal issues, kidney stones, high PSA and “prostate cancer”, cardiac issues, neuro/balance issues, hematology issues, strokes, turbo cancers, and even GI issues.
I even started a list back in 2021, and I’m glad I did. Because, statistically, from an all-cause mortality perspective, this list clearly has more adverse events/serious adverse events than the last 10 years or so.

And, I will add, even more sad is … many of these illnesses and diseases will not respond to standard of care (SoC) treatment.
that is to say, SoC is the “go-to”, tried and true method to combat said disease/illness; the ‘usual’ treatment one would get, due to its proven success rate.
however, nowadays, because those ‘vaccinated’ with the bad lot #s (the ones who lost at russian roulette) have soooo many inflammatory storms and hematology issues, their bodies are incapable of responding to SoC. MDs are scratching their heads (duh, because they cant admit it’s the ‘vaccine’).
it’s why people are sick longer and more often; it’s why renal issues won’t resolve, and stones won’t go away (or they come back); it’s why those in remission get cancer again; it’s why lab values are fluctuating (hemoglobin and red/white cells); it’s why those now forced at a young age to take blood thinners still continue to clot.

Seems hard to find “unadjusted” mortality numbers
I’m not the one using the numbers, or doing the comparing.
it’s just the research and articles I have read, studied, and printed over the last four years.
there are so many physicians (oncologists, pathologists, cardiologists, etc.), funeral home directors, researchers, statisticians that have come out with their observations and conclusions.
morbidity and mortality weekly used to be good, but i’m not 100% sure of it these days.

Today is the 58th anniversary of Israel’s deplorable false-flag attack on the USS Liberty. This unprovoked attack killed 34 American crewmembers as Israel attempted to sink the Liberty to avoid having any witnesses. The Liberty’s “crime” was listening into Israel’s communications on its illegal warfighting.
Remember the Liberty.
The Liberty is always used as a way to stir up conservative hatred against the tiny Jewish state of Israel. Why was the Liberty even stationed in such dangerous waters? After years of what I have seen western govts capable of doing, I will never assume that no shenanigans were taking place.
I’m going to go out on a limb and wonder if info was being passed onto hostile partners. The US has also made tragic errors in wars. Whatever the case, you should be thankful for one small country that won’t bend a knees to the hordes that will rape, pillage, kill and destroy.
