Former 1st Lt. Mark Bashaw, who was discharged from the Army after his 2022 conviction, received the pardon from Trump on May 28, a senior White House official confirmed to USA TODAY.
Bashaw was found guilty by a military judge for violating lawful orders for refusing to work remotely, reporting to office without submitting a COVID-19 test, and not wearing a face mask indoors ‒ measures that were required of military members who chose not to get vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus.

Reading, I wondered how many other military took the bioweapon out of fear of becoming an example like Mr. Bashaw was.

The U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling in one case today. Seven County Infrastructure Coalition vs Eagle County, Colorado.
Kavanaugh wrote the majority opinion. It was unanimous except that Gorsuch had no part in this case and Sotomayor wrote a separate concurring opinion that was joined by Kagan and Jackson.
It is about building an addition to a railroad line, for about 88 miles, to go between an oil field and a place where the oil can be refined. Another county and several environmental groups sued, claiming that when the federal regulating agency approved the addition of the rail line that the agency didn’t consider all the upstream and downstream (completely unrelated to the actual project of putting in new rail line) environmental consequences.
The ruling said, no, the agency did just fine and the case was sent back to the lower court. “NEPA does not allow courts ‘under the guise of judicial review’ of agency compliance with NEPA, to delay or block agency projects based on the environmental effects of other projects separate from the project at hand.”
