Describing issues with nationwide injunctions Solicitor Sauer says:
They encourage rampant forum shopping. They require judges to make rushed, high-stakes, low-information decisions. They circumvent Rule 23 by offering all the benefits but none of the burdens of class [action] certification. They operate asymmetrically, forcing the government to win everywhere while the plaintiffs can win anywhere. They invert the ordinary hierarchy of appellate review. They create the ongoing risk of conflicting judgments. … They create what Justice [Lewis] Powell described as repeated and essentially head-on confrontations between the life-tenured and representative branches of government. And they disrupt the Constitution’s careful balancing of the separation of powers.
He also states that of approximately 40 nationwide injunctions, 35 have come five judicial areas.
One could reasonably argue that the judges entering these orders are essentially attempting to undo the results of the last election by keeping in place Biden administration policies — policies that more than 77 million voters roundly rejected last November. These judges apparently believe they have more authority than the president to make decisions on everything from domestic and foreign policy to matters affecting national security and the military.
Let’s hope the Supreme Court, with it’s expected late June rulings, comes to it’s senses.

Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 65(c), judges can issue injunctions “ONLY IF” the suing party posts a bond to cover potential damages if they’re wrong. But guess what? This rule is hardly used!
When I was in the White House, in Trump’s first term, I suggested this, but DOJ didn’t make it happen. Imagine if we had applied this to the travel ban – activists would think twice before blocking policies with potentially billions at stake.
For national injunctions, we’re talking bonds in the hundreds of millions or even billions. It will become prohibitive unless the activists have a slam dunk case.

Trump’s Administration has finally taken notice of Rule 65(c) when it comes to Federal Courts:
(c) Security. The court may issue a preliminary injunction or a temporary restraining order only if the movant gives security in an amount that the court considers proper to pay the costs and damages sustained by any party found to have been wrongfully enjoined or restrained. The United States, its officers, and its agencies are not required to give security.
This is not discretionary and the court cannot assess a “de-minimus” security amount either; it must be defensible predicated on the costs and damages that the other party may or will suffer with the evidence of same in the order itself if the injunction or TRO issues until disposition of the case and the posting of said security has to be completed before the TRO or injunction is valid.

Thus where is Pam Bondi with immediate emergency filings against all of the existing injunctions already issued demanding that security be posted up and computed in said public filing and, if there is any delay or refusal by the judges involved to do so taking an immediate emergency appeal as far as necessary including to the Supreme Court which, given the actual language in the Rules of Civil Procedure is a slam-dunk and immediate win? No, demanding this only on a forward basis for future filings is not enough — force the movants in all the existing injunctions to either post up security or dissolve the injunctions and TROs.

That they aren’t doing that obvious thing led me to wonder if it’s because the GOP half of the UniParty doesn’t want to hamper its own ability to use national injunctions from district courts AND because they actually LOVE the obstruction of Trump. So, I did some research:

The MAGA Right no longer admires Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. Over the last few weeks, the Trump appointee sided with the liberal justices in crucial cases concerning the administration. In March, Barret, along with moderate chief justice John Roberts, ruled against the Trump administration’s attempt to defund USAID, the notoriously left-wing government agency. Last week, she sided with the liberal justices again over President Trump invoking the Alien Enemies Act to deport migrants. IMO what’s enabling them is the corrupt legal system where, if cops do anything, and there was an army of them there, lawsuits; if the train keeps rolling, there were two of them stopped and defaced that night, someone gets a scratch and lawsuits.
I watched the whole dynamic for a couple hours, including defacing surrounding buildings, while the cops looked on. What I did notice was the mongrels didn’t appear to spray paint cars, nor break building windows, that I saw anyway. That tells me there’s a deal in place with the lawyers and cops. They are allowed to do so much. It’s coordinated.

There are sections of LA (South Central, East LA…) that are and have been shit holes for decades. The Police are hated and there appearance there is just a token gesture. The cops are just doing time on a way to a better location. The Watts riots as well as the Rodney King riots were aimed (location wise) at their own neighborhoods. The irony of burning down their own community and thinking that it would be rebuilt for them so that they can do it again???
I find it necessary to run the Gauntlet (drive through LA) and I realize full well that there is likely to be traffic jams. No one I have ever met in my fifty plus years of driving in SoCal ever takes side streets unless they are directed to do so by traffic experts (CHP) in helicopters. An gun under the drivers seat should be an option for new car purchases. Its an urban jungle out there and the animals on the loose are not playful.

One could see blue tarps as far as the eye could see..covering stolen property, drug grows, dog kennels etc. 😂
The pilot and navigator live in Simi Valley as do many of their colleagues and few plan on remaining after retirement.

We certainly didn’t have ghetto vulgarity when I was growing up in the ’60s. We were all middle class, behaved ourselves, did well in school, loved our neighborhoods and our country. Thank GOD for such blessings.
Part of me, living through it, was 👍 , and the other part of me was ‘sarcasm level, expert‘.
Locally, street violence was pretty robust; I doubt few of us made it through without ending up face down in the dirt for just being in the wrong place. OTOH, people didn’t kill each other as frequently.
Also, cops tended to keep their revolvers holstered and were expert with their nightsticks, often with perps wishing they’d used their guns on them. Brutal.
When I see the mongrels like in that video, I remember the boundaries. I used to work near the train freight yard back in those days, 60’s-70’s, and very, very rarely saw a boxcar with graffiti.
That’s what I think of every time I see the mongrels tagging stuff. Then again, these days it seems everyone below a certain age is tagged themselves. President Trump has talked about the hatred involved, how it makes it difficult for him to negotiate a deal.
We have done the same thing with Ukraine that Mr. Stone describes with Russia. We talk about Zelensky as if he’s the one side, all by himself, and we hate Zelensky or we hate Putin, and millions of Ukrainians are dismissed as if they don’t even exist.
President Trump recognizes that he is seeing hate, strong hate, but I don’t think he understands that kind of hate, on a personal level, because he himself does not hate in that way.

I find myself being Grateful for the result of the trifecta I experience at the very beginning of my life – betrayal by parents, medical, and church.
Not however for the betrayals per se; nor the depth of trauma.
Slow learner in the grand scheme, apparently … so Theater-of-Absurdity- level trauma was Divinely applied this time.
The microcosm is the macrocosm.
We’re “good at it” because it’s a conditioned trait of complex trauma overwhelming our individual & collective psyche; we’ve been traumatized on many levels for over a full century deliberately… making it impossible for many to *see & think* clearly.
It can be overcome, but it has to be recognized for what it is first – and actual remediation (constantly derided as “tin-foil-hat-quackery”) applied subsequently to be accomplished. Obstacles and absences – purposeful mind control efforts – are baked-in features of the system that dominates.
Learning – conditioning – through trauma… trauma-based-mind-control… has been so ingrained;
the past 4 years of ‘Theater-of-Absurdity” -intensified traumatization was, arguably, the only or most efficient way to challenge the effected or ‘break the spell’, as it were. Many, previously hypnotized, have awakened… though not without the thick residue of trauma.
Turning a blind eye – to that which is not ‘immediately threatening personal survival- ‘ is evident almost everywhere one looks to some degree.
Literacy is no longer the antidote to gaslighting.

There was a time when President Trump, not President at the time, had his own intelligence guys and he knew exactly what was going on everywhere in the world.
I would suggest he put them back in action to verify information from the outside and on the ground. It very well could be the only way he gets the truth about reality on the ground. It is easier to tell the truth when not faced with internal interference and backstabbing. President Trump should definitely make sure of the legality of such a move.
That is not to say he should not listen to his many government advisors, of course he should weigh their input, it is their job, but an additional unbiased input might lead to better decision making and stronger results.

Vocational training schools have been fined, or even shut down, for overpromising their students, by training them for work where the jobs are in short supply.
People rush into a field where they hope to make decent money, but due to oversaturation, they find themselves scrambling, especially if they paid for their training.
Bringing jobs back, and then raising the number of foreign workers, is counter-productive.
Colleges do far worse. Your bachelor’s degree in “gender studies” is worth diddly squat, but cost you $200,000.
A bachelor’s degree, in anything, is a requirement in almost any type of managerial/administrative, white-collar employment, so it isn’t “worthless”, it’s overpriced.
It becomes worthless when our own government allows foreigners in to flood the market.
Giving money to vocational schools will not solve any problems for Americans.

To underscore the insanity of college tuition these days, an electrical engineering B.S. when I was in college was 150 bucks a semester and about the same in books. I also had to pay for the punch cards I used to program the mainframe in Fortran for the computer part of the curriculum.
To put it in perspective, I paid for it with a ten dollar an hour summer job at a cottonseed plant building vent boxes for the cottonseed stacks, among other things. Work in the summer, go to school the rest of the year with plenty of cash to spend besides. The peanut farmer was President.
Oh lordy I remember those stupid punch cards and trying to create programs for that monster machine. I was terrible at it lol.
I think college was a great way to figure out what one was good at and it was affordable.
I hated punch cards but liked the then-new ‘networking’ where we could run programs from remote terminals in BASIC. I ended up parked in front of a terminal more often than not.
I still have the first home computer I ever bought, a TI 99-4. It used a cassette tape recorder/player for storage and the TV for a monitor. My memory was completely wrong on what it cost me, apparently over a grand at the time. That underscores the value of a trade job. I was able to afford that, and college, and also running a race car, during Carter era inflation.
Imagine the individual who majors in “gender studies”. Maybe they learned something useful with their bachelor’s degree general distribution requirements. “Trade schools” maybe more useful and rewarding for individual/society…bill
Our three children have three choices when it comes to undergraduate degrees – sciences (we have two daughters that are pre-med), technology, and finance.
Trade schools – you’ll make a decent wage, but your income is basically capped. You won’t get rich as a master plumber.

I live in a growing suburban community. Been here over a dozen years.
Watched 2 brothers open up a plumbing business after apprenticing with a larger company in the city.
They added on HVAC, then more general “mechanical systems.” Also added a tree trimming business. They have a fleet of trucks, a cadre of employees, a solid reputation, and are undoubtedly what most people would consider “rich.”
Skill, ambition, and a work ethic count. A degree is no substitute.

But you can pay your bills and take care of a family. Those who have the talent to get rich, and the desire to do so -will. I saw something he other day that trades people were being offered jobs out school for $70K/yr. ‘Not chump change.

What does that get a potential employer, a lawsuit?
IMO, as an industry lifer, now retired from the machine shop I ran for a few decades, and having trade skills, first paying for college engineering school from a summer job as a union carpenter, I can’t imagine any young man or woman with aptitude and going to a trade school not immediately having a union apprentice or non-union job waiting for them.
The problems as I see it is something the military addressed with my father’s generation, separating out inductees, or applicants, by aptitude. Some people have natural skills for some things and not for others. If having the aptitude, education can augment it. If not, IMO it’s a waste of time, both for the teacher and the student.
I think about that as I bang away on a laptop here, remembering learning qwerty typing on a manual Underwood before electric typewriters were around in schools. A lot of my friends, many now dead, were hunt and peck for their entire lives. They were good at other things, though, and hired people like me to do trade things. Something for everyone.
There are still jobs in plumbing, things like that. One of my neighbor’s boys is doing that now. He wisely didn’t bother with college just for the sake of a degree.
There are a lot of other things people go to vocational schools for, though.
Another neighbor’s kidattended a year or two of that ITT Tech school that used to advertise on TV all the time. The one Betsy DeVos shut down.
I guess they oversold it as a way to get a good-paying job, but my neighbor’s kid went from school to a job that enabled him to move out (with roommates) and then eventually relocate for an even better job in another state.
You’d see people training for jobs where the pay was good, but the jobs were in short supply, though, there are variations in the market for certain skills.
One local school got into trouble, I think this was back in the 70s, people were paying for training in sheet rock finishing or some such thing, when the demand for that work was low.
Another field that comes to mind is massage therapy. The pay was good, it didn’t take that long to get certified, so people rushed into that, the end result was a glut of massage therapists.
I remember the aptitude tests you speak of. Big corporations used to use them for their training programs.
Yes, it’s no sense training for something you aren’t any good at and maybe don’t even like.
I hate to think of all the kids who were tricked into going to school for STEM courses that they didn’t even like, only to lose out to somebody from India with a bogus degree.
I was marked for Production. I produced well for 50 years. I was good at it.
Ok, an idea about South African President Ramaphosa. We need to come up with something like Lets Go Brandon the media came up with instead of what was actually said.
So, we need something in place of Kill the Boer/Kill the white farmer. And we can make a joke of what Ramaphosa might say they were saying.

Same without farmers *who know & do actual farming*… as has been demonstrated elsewhere by eliminating white farmers.

Yes Sir, President Putin is indeed playing with fire. And so are the EU, NATO, and the US. As much as it pains me as an American Patriot to admit this, but our own US government built, lit, and flamed many of these fires ourselves over the past 3 decades.
I appreciate all of your efforts to forestall “lots of really bad things [that] would have already happened to Russia”.
I also appreciate President Putin’s measured and temperate responses so far to all the ‘Western’ and Ukrainian provocations, sanctions, broken treaties, interference, and lies.
I’m sure that you of all people know what it is like to be attacked by so many different factions with agendas to destroy you personally as well as our country that you love and cherish so much. When I chose purposely to forego profit potential and divest myself from the financial industry during the last crash, I opined at the time that the next one would make the one we were currently in look like a pleasant sunny spring Sunday afternoon.
IMO the only thing between my prognostication and reality has been PDJT.
I’m still completely out of the financial industry with everything invested in hard assets I can defend to the death. Live simple. Money is a cruel master.
I’m traveling in Asia right now, and it’s fascinating to see how much elite panic there is over the Harvard situation. Of course, 99.999% of people couldn’t care less but Asian elites care, because that’s where they send their kids. And that tells us two important things.
First, Harvard is a powerful piece of leverage over elites and by extension, over their governments. It’s exactly the kind of “chip” Trump has talked about so many times, i.e. something the U.S. holds but never uses.
Second, this should ultimately come down to China. If other countries want to send their kids to Harvard, fine. But the U.S. should impose a full ban on Chinese student visas.
That kills several birds with one stone:
1. China is the central problem.
2. Chinese nationals pose a unique national security threat because, unlike other countries, China legally obligates every citizen to assist in intelligence work (see Article 7 of their National Intelligence Law).
3. Framing this as a national security issue, as opposed to a Harvard issue, makes it far harder for radical leftist courts to block than a blanket ban on all foreign students.

Ban Chinese students from all colleges accepting Federal or State money. American students can’t get into the programs they want, such as Biomedical Engineering, because 90% of the students are Chinese.
At my state school, students had been complaining for years that they weren’t able to graduate on time, due to courses they needed being full.

And what kind of people do you think that’s going to attract? As we saw during the pandemic, but in many other realms too, they will attempt to gain enormous totalitarian levels of power over society and use it to oppress people with no remorse whatsoever, using their scientific expertise as a justification for the imposition of a moral tyranny. We should not need to seconduess the experts when it comes to gaining access to relevant information. We shouldn’t have to wonder if they are deliberately withholding key knowledge to ensure that we can make a decision one way and not another or if they made their career lying their way through the institutions and don’t actually possess true information to begin with. And if that has been done to us, then the people who did it should be severely punished at the very least losing their livelihoods as an example to the rest. And if we don’t punish them, we condemn ourselves to live in a society where gaining the rank of expert is a free ticket to wield power without accountability and will put us in a perpetual war against corrupted institutions which seek dominion rather than science.
