The history of Harvard is that it was founded by Americans for Americans to educate Americans so we would compete with and eventually surpass the elite universities overseas. Now, this is something that is used to empower foreign governments to give our intellectual know-how to foreign leaders to clandestinely educate Xiinping’s daughter, not tell anyone about it until a decade later, and let her take whatever she’s learning back to the CCP. All of this stuff feels fundamentally against the original vision for Harvard and certainly against what anything we would want to spend nine billion dollars on. Where is the disconnect here between the Democrats and anyone who is defending this behavior and where we’re at here in Trump’s America?
Benz: Well, the issue is Harvard as it is is a corporation and it exists effectively within the community of the US Chamber of Commerce. As the business community moved to profit from China because of the export markets, because of the supply chains, because of the manufacturing and labor, Harvard began to bet on China. Harvard began to bet on a world order that did not put the United States first. And so I think you see this reflected in much of the Democrat party. You had the Biden first family directly profiting off of deals with China. Hunter Biden famously made $10 million through CFC China Energy. Hunter Biden was brokering the sales of LNG ports in Louisiana to China. You have huge portions of of the diplomatic class who have these partnerships with China. You have huge portions of the California power base. Nancy Pelosi and Gavin Newsom as China effectively offers California a lifeline and is doing development deals. And so you have this skating towards where the puck is going. And the the problem is that puts the United States in a death spiral because they’re not actually advancing US interests as they do it. And part of that is I think the US State Department as well as the Central Intelligence Agency and aspects of our defense department have moved into this as well as the contractors have seen the markets in China and have seen the markets in other hostile foreign nation states. I think this is a lot of what was behind the Iran deal, this this move to open up the oil and gas and Trump put a ban on that during his administration. But then two months into the Biden administration, China bought uh in March 2021, China signed a $400 billion deal with Iran to buy their oil and gas.

Did you ever think it may be possible that those things that Nixon did were needed for the “good” . That the Demoncrats and Rinos took good and used it for power, money? God gives us free will and we choose. As part of that, corporations aren’t a machine, rather generally collections of humans making choices, whether in leadership roles or support roles. The driver is money. Each human decides for themselves how much money will rule their morality, or not.
Rules and laws attempt to curb and control amorality. That’s probably over-simplistic but imagine your neighbor has a million bucks sitting on a table in their garage and the door is open. Do you figure out a way to steal it for yourself? Why or why not? No penalties for theft, no one is around to even see you. What do you do? To me, it’s examples like that which define morality.
Our culture has in my opinion been in moral decay for longer than I’ve been alive. I saw it in the 60’s while still relatively young.
I got a taste of the 2025 version last night watching live in downtown LA as youth went wild, a couple thousand of them, while cops stood by, filling Washington Blvd and eventually stopping two commuter trains which run down the street and pounding on their windows and spray painting them, as well as surrounding buildings. It went on for a couple hours after the cops apparently broke up an ad hoc punk rock street party.
That’s, unfortunately, reality.
I agree, gulfaddict. I was never a Nixon fan, but I was born in Cleveland and grew up there during the ’50s-’70s, and the polluting of the air, water, and soil by big industry was out of control. Our factories had a blank check to spew poison 24/7 into our skies, rivers, great lakes, and dirt. They kept a lot of people working, including many of our dads, and the cities reaped a lot of financial benefits from all that big business. But I remember pea green skies over the city, choking on the air, our river catching fire, dead fish washing up on Lake Erie’s beaches, etc.
None of the local, state, or federal governments wanted to curb any of that, because it represented jobs, “progress,” and cash flow. The unions were really powerful then, too. So the EPA was supposed to be a “neutral” non-partisan, non-elected agency that was meant to analyze and curtail the harm that government didn’t want to regulate. (Sort of like how Big Pharma controls government today.)
I hate what the EPA has turned into, as a power and money grab, with fake climate science to control everyone under false pretenses. I believe man-made climate change is a hoax, but the deadly effects of pollution are real, and those things we can control. (Interesting that in Cleveland, the big business for years was industry and factories, which were allowed to turn us into a toxic waste dump for over a century. And now, our big business is the huge hospital complexes of Cleveland Clinic and University Hospital — which are treating a lot of the cancers, respiratory, and heart conditions often caused by breathing in and living with all that toxic waste. Create a need and offer to fill it…)
We are called by God from Genesis to be good stewards of his land and creation, and we dropped the ball for too long. And despite what the EPA became, I am glad for a lot of the good that came out of it in places like Cleveland. I moved back in 2010 after being away for decades. And although I hate what bad trade policies did to make us a rust belt, I am grateful that the skies are clear and blue, the water is clean and swimmable with edible fish again, and the soil has been decontaminated with many city gardens and farms — some supplying local restaurant tables. Just my two cents as someone who’s had a front row seat…
There were also areas in New Jersey where chemical companies would just dump their industrial waste into the nearby river. They located there for that purpose. So that kind of stuff did need to be addressed.
Thanks for confirming, BV. I remember seeing an area like that, back in the late ’70s and ’80s, when I visited friends in East Orange, and we would take the train into the city. It reminded me of the Valley of Ashes in The Great Gatsby.

Make it illegal for foreign countries to “donate” to US Universities! It is not a donation, it is flat out bribery to ensure that their country’s kids get into those institutions. This of course displaces American citizens!
If you want a job with the State Department, you have to be of the wealthy snot class or know people in the wealthy snot class to even be considered, and the Ivy League schools are gatekeepers of the wealthy snot class.
This is why the middle class pays way too much for college degrees for their kids.
It’s not just the wealthy snot class they will be shut out of, but the entire white collar, managerial class as well. You don’t need Ivy League for that, but you do need a four year degree, and if your four year degree isn’t from the right school, you still won’t get hired by certain corporations, but even with the right degree from the right school, you can end up a gig worker in your 60s, due to our government pulling the rug out from under you and allowing the increase in H1Bs who already had an advantage over Americans.

The Denbighshire County Council which was our county on North Wales took our beautiful small town and decided it could use hundreds more people. High street is now full of Turkish food outlets. The infrastructire wont support new housing estates. Parking, one adequate, is non existent. Welsh government is attempting to reduce speed limits through areas like ours to…. 5 mph.

Los Angeles’ deputy mayor for public safety has pleaded guilty to calling in a fake, anti-Israel bomb threat to himself in October.
Brian Williams, who was charged by federal prosecutors Thursday, faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
Mayor Karen Bass announced in December that Williams had been put on administrative leave, meaning he likely has been collecting his $245,143 combined salary and benefits without any official duties. As deputy mayor for public safety, Williams would have overseen the city’s fire and police response during the devastating January wildfires.
The Department of Justice reports that during an online government meeting, Williams used his personal cellphone’s Google Voice app to call his city cellphone, then left the meeting and placed a call to the Los Angeles Public Department, saying he received a call from an unknown man with a threat to bomb Los Angeles City Hall.
“Williams received no such call and had made the bomb threat himself,” wrote the DOJ. “At no time did Williams intend to carry out the threat.”
Williams then texted Bass and other high-ranking officials to share the news.
“Bomb threat: I received phone call on my city cell at 10:48 am this morning. The male caller stated that ‘he was tired of the city support of Israel, and he has decided to place a bomb in City Hall. It might be in the rotunda.’ I immediately contacted the chief of staff of LAPD, they are going to send a number of officers over to do a search of the building and to determine if anyone else received a threat,” texted Williams.
LAPD then searched city hall for explosives or suspicious packages, finding none.
Williams then texted the mayor and high-ranking officials again, saying, “At this time, there is no need for us to evacuate the building, I’m meeting with the threat management officers within the next 10 minutes. In light of the Jewish holidays, we are taking this thread, a little more seriously.”

Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 65(c), judges can issue injunctions “ONLY IF” the suing party posts a bond to cover potential damages if they’re wrong. But guess what? This rule is hardly used!
When I was in the White House, in Trump’s first term, I suggested this, but DOJ didn’t make it happen. Imagine if we had applied this to the travel ban – activists would think twice before blocking policies with potentially billions at stake.
For national injunctions, we’re talking bonds in the hundreds of millions or even billions. It will become prohibitive unless the activists have a slam dunk case.

We later learned from Congress or at least testimony was was published in a congressional letter on this that HSI agents reportedly replaced almost half of the Secret Service agents at the Butler rally. We’re told because Secret Service had a diminished force because they were split between the NATO summit and a Jill Biden [AND a Harris trip at the same time in PA that, for some reason, everyone seems to miss! – W] trip… HSI would have been in position to allow the shot to go through to the extent that they replaced Secret Service agents that day. So this whole thing could have been inhouse with four or five people simply allowing it to happen.
On the Ryan Ralph case, it’s even crazier. Ryan Ralph was a part of a a 501c3 U uh Ukraine nonprofit network, the exact nonprofit network that is is such a big part of the USID presence in Ukraine. Uh it was uh called the volunteer center of Ukraine that he gave his card to Customs and Border Patrol uh in 2023 that he was the director of. They’ve they’ve denied that, but it was on his business card that he handed to Customs and Border Patrol. Customs and Border Patrol then referred an investigation on Ryan Ralph in 2023 to DHS HSI. And according to Customs and Border Patrol, DHS HSI quote refused to investigate, not declined, refused to investigate Ryan Ralph. Now Ryan Ralph at the time was recruiting thousands thousand at least 5,000 by his own numbers of terrorist and extremist militia fighters from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria and Iran. Now though all four of those are highly CIA inflicted geopolitical conflict zones with intense US military and intelligence pressure and infiltration of various militant networks there. and he was trolling uh WhatsApp and Telegram to get the front and back of over 5,000 passports of jihadi fighters in order to back channel with the US embassy in Kiev the ability to provide an increased military support for the US Pentagon in Ukraine so that these fighters who we who the CIA was backing when they were called the mujaheden in the 1970s and 80s now they’re al-Qaeda and ISIS so that they just just as they fought the Russians during the Cold War, they would come back and fight the Russians in Ukraine, just as they were bombing the Russians. It is of the utmost importance to get the economy growing in order for his policy prescriptions to work. The back and forth that would occur would drag on for months. Meanwhile opportunities are missed, plus the divisiveness does not inspire corporations to move back or investments in the US.
I believe PT understands the debt, deficit, and spending problem, but also understands that in order to tackle those issues he must get the economy booming and timing is everything. Without a rapidly growing economy we will not be able to pay the debt…period. Roy is being the turd in the punch bowl.

I think a lot of this came about due to ‘regulatory capture’, suddenly the government agencies that we thought were there to protect the citizenry were actually working for the benefit of big corporations.
The Biden family was heavily involved with credit cards when that really took off as a racket.
I remember one credit card I got where the date the payment was due kept changing significantly. It made it harder to remember to pay it. Just a small thing, but I got rid of it anyway.
I later found out that this was done deliberately, to con consumers out of late fees.
Banks were trying to make money out of fees as well, and the media would scold us about how we were supposed to carefully read all the fine print and go over everything with a fine-tooth comb.
Before anyone comes at me about personal responsibility, yes, I am personally very responsible, but I remember a time when you didn’t have to worry that any an every transaction might be cheating you.
America went from a high-trust society to having to actively defend yourself from fraud and theft with every single monetary transaction cars, homes, medical, dental, business, goods, and services

I had a card like that… kept getting late fees because not only did they change the due date, they kept changing the place to send the payment! I used online banking and had the payments scheduled. THEN to rub salt in the wound, I tried to pay off the card, but I kept getting billed interest. So, when I called to ask how the heck I was supposed to pay off the card if every month they assessed interest on the amount… the girl answered, “yes, that is a common complaint” Luckily, she was nice and made it all go away.
That card company got fined for doing it… but no consumer got any compensation.
I think it was Capital One.
Just a clarification… they kept assessing a fee which then had interest applied… could never pay it off LOL!
I had the same thing happen to me. I wrote a letter to the finance department that was addressed to their computer explaining the problem and promising to hook the computer up on a date with another computer if the computer would take care of it for me.
My theory was someone would find the letter hilarious and show it around the office leading to people wanting to be a part of the solution as the story was repeated.
It worked, one way or the other.

I don’t like the way they use UPFs. I understand the need for the shorthand, but it strikes me as unscientific to lump together a wide variety of foods with a wide variety of ingredients and a large number of processing methods into a single category that suggests they are all dangerous, prematurely.
I think the report gets ahead of itself in some ways, the last page (72) is the part that should be emphasized. I hope that there are plans underway to implement these studies, we need real science and not observations.

If I may make a quick point about Springsteen. My wife was a fan from way, way back when he wasn’t such a douchebag. I know some might find that hard to believe.
We went last summer in August, in Pittsburgh to see him one last time for the wifey. Look, the guy has put out some good music. I am not going to deny that. Maybe he ain’t someone’s cup of tea. He never spoke any politics at all. Which, I thought he might. It doesn’t stop any of the other liberal idiot artists from doing so.
My point you ask? I just find it interesting now he is bashing the President overseas. This part of the overseas tour began in May. He was done the US leg in January. Now, I know the election was in November and President Trump was not in the White House for a lot of this tour. He was in Canada for a number of dates in November and you didn’t here any of this. I do not think he has any US dates anymore on the calendar for this tour. I really don’t think he would of done this on US soil/North America because I do believe there would have been a backlash here if he continued to do it.
Why do I care or write this? I just don’t think he has the balls to take on the President here. His tickets were way over priced anyway and he had complaints from long time fans. The Dixie Chicks tried that with Bush overseas and were pillared and damn near ran out of country music for their antics. Springsteen is certainly more iconic, but the Dixie Chicks were as hot an artist as anyone and thought they could get away with it.

The CR that PDJT signed early in his term, while perhaps frustrating to us, did apparently contain one plus. Discretion. It gave him wider discretion on how to allocate funding within and across departments.
One example, since I’m a 2A advocate, is allocating funding to the office that restores 2A rights to citizens from whom they’ve been stripped. We recently saw a short list of them, with Mel Gibson being a famous name among it. Prior, Congress had denied/omitted funding for that office, for over 30 years. Discretion allowed it to resume its work.
There are other examples across government in the different departments. Unfortunately, the format of this forum doesn’t allow for single thread on specific topics like legislation details and department-specific actions and results. Hence, a lot of important realities are lost in the milieu.
Or the plan was to run the country based on the anticipation of institutional defiance and legislative delay. Perhaps the end goal was to flip the script and only achieve official sanction of the MAGA trajectory after the Mid-Terms. Team Trump seems to be stress-testing all the DS nodes to provoke a defensive response that actually benefits their strategic goals.
Harvard is the latest targeted institution (a centre of gravity for the DS) who have now been forced to respond to a carefully escalated campaign, ending in the attempt to remove their ability to self-certificate foreign students. Their response was to naturally get a judge to issue an injunction, but in the course of their public defence they revealed the extent to which they rely on foreign students as cash cows, especially the Chinese contingent, with concomitant issues raised about fears of espionage. The end result is that they have a temporary injunction but have also lifted the scales from even more people’s eyes about why higher education in the US is fearful of MAGA, preferring instead the self-serving MEEGA (or is that meagre), Make Everybody Else Great Again.
The campaign is not a political one, or more accurately it’s not a politically focused one, it’s about the demolition of an entrenched structure that has usurped the traditional political establishment. Expecting therefore political solutions, using traditional conduits, to achieve anything, is therefore risky as it plays into the opponent’s scheme of defence. Team Trump therefore seems to have eschewed the political, instead employing military tactics: identifying and systematically targeting the enemy’s centres of gravity, whilst maximising their own, by way of an info-centric campaign, with devolved targeting that maximises the re-confirmed power of the Executive to constantly disrupt and supersede their opponents pre and proscribed plans.
In essence, Team Trump is running the DS’s playbook against them, executive power, paying lip-service to the other branches, only instead of infiltration tactics they are using raiding ones. No wonder the DS is having to get its agents to use coded language about assassinating 47, as their enemy is definitely exercising its right to vote!
The national debt is all of a sudden a big focus of the MSM, as it should be, but barely a mention when Biden and his masters were running it up. Same as ‘due process’, none when tens of millions crossed the border, now any deportation needs to go to the SC, one at a time. Nothing new but the difference’ is infuriating, tired of just saying that’s the way it is.

Although elections continue, they are constrained to the range of acceptable candidates and solutions, which are limited to those that corporate-controlled MSM supports and pre-selects through processes that are only partially transparent. The Overton window, which describes the range of allowed public discourse, is actively controlled. The result is that the final candidates in significant elections do not threaten corporatist control of government, and legislative actions are massaged to produce bills favorable to the economic interests that control the State.

If they dedicate themselves to upholding something external using the power of the institution, then the institution itself becomes suspect because its purpose is no longer truth. It is orthodoxy. Moreover, politics is the management of power. So, anyone who wields power must have external mechanisms through which they can be held accountable. We appear to be arriving in the unfortunate position where scientists have misaligned their goals with what is actually true and are now demanded by their own consciences to fudge the facts or leave out important data to maintain their moral rectitude. This requires them to manipulate people’s perception of reality as mediated through the scientific establishment, demanding a dramatic increase in the power of the institution. The scientists in command of the institution are thereby now incentivized towards power seeking behaviors rather than truth seeking behaviors.
And what kind of people do you think that’s going to attract? As we saw during the pandemic, but in many other realms too, they will attempt to gain enormous totalitarian levels of power over society and use it to oppress people with no remorse whatsoever, using their scientific expertise as a justification for the imposition of a moral tyranny. We should not need to seconduess the experts when it comes to gaining access to relevant information. We shouldn’t have to wonder if they are deliberately withholding key knowledge to ensure that we can make a decision one way and not another or if they made their career lying their way through the institutions and don’t actually possess true information to begin with. And if that has been done to us, then the people who did it should be severely punished at the very least losing their livelihoods as an example to the rest. And if we don’t punish them, we condemn ourselves to live in a society where gaining the rank of expert is a free ticket to wield power without accountability and will put us in a perpetual war against corrupted institutions which seek dominion rather than science. We do not wish to live in a society in which we accept as a matter of course that evil or venal people can trade on the good name of science as a path to unaccountable power and prosperity. Not only does that do nothing good for society, it is the beginning of the end for those very institutions themselves.
I became markedly skeptical of any ‘experts’ after Watergate and during Carter. I didn’t realize it at the time but looking back I was ‘that guy’ who didn’t get along with group think and suckling on intellectual icons.
Of course, that philosophy had consequences, social, political and economic. Going along to get along and paying that tithe to the ‘science’ is a far easier river to navigate.

When you get a when you get a search warrant to conduct a raid, you have to go to a judge, right, with a reason. Oh, we have this probable cause. The reasons why to to raid. When you close a case, which is very rare for the FBI to execute a search warrant and not bring charges. It hardly ever happens. You are required by law to give a copy of the probable cause. That is the reason why you conducted the raid. Guess what they did? They redacted every single word of the probable cause used to raid my newsroom. Every word. Maybe your producer can pull it up on Google or something. I every word. There’s a black bar pat through. It’s ridiculous. It’s literally black bars. We’re not talking about terrorists. We’re not talking about Jeff Epstein. We’re not talking about child molesters and drug traffickers. We’re talking about James O’Keefe, the journalist. So, if our FBI, our attorney general’s office, can’t be transparent about why they raided a journalist’s newsroom, why do we have any faith in the FBI to be transparent about these other these other issues?

Usually margins expand when someone posts links with all the unnecessary items in the thread address, if one deletes all the images after the ? and then deletes the ? that seems to stop the margins from growing.
I posted an interview, earlier today, done yesterday with Sen. Johnson by 2 of the All-in-Podcast hosts, listen to the whole thing, Johnson makes sense – he just has an impossible way of getting to the point (like I do as I get wordy trying to say 1 thing might take 5 sentences to get there) – he makes his point, it is a good point, he has met with Treas. Sec. Bessent, the Senator has also presented is charts and concerns to Pres. Trump – the problem, according to Johnson, is getting members of the House to understand what he’s saying and what his concerns are.
Of course, he also doesn’t have the solution, and I am hoping that him having presented his concerns to both Pres. Trump and Sec. Treas. Bessent directly, they will come up with the solution once the Senate gets done with its bill and that goes into the joint House-Senate committee to come up with the final version of the Big Beautiful Bill.
Johnson’s concerns are legitimate, arriving at a solution and right timing is the trick to answering his, and other Senator’s concerns. Let’s see what happens is where we’re at, and maybe we will get clues in how to get our members of Congress, that supposedly want us to re-elect them, to hear and work out a solution?
the bill apparently does fund just about everything in the previous ‘continuing resolution’ – including agencies that shouldn’t exist anymore if there ws an actual budget process. It doesn’t even cut the DOGE-found fraud. It does create enormous debt.
You are OK with that?
Perhaps PDJT believes that tariffs will bring in trillions? Perhaps PDJT knows that the dollar needs to be inflated away to significant devluation to ‘reduce the debt’ as has always been done? Maybe PDJT needs to pay off everyone (including liberal NGOs) to try to avoid losing the congress in 2026? But the fraudsters won’t vote for PDJT or GOPe anyway. Why not require connection between treasury payments and the legal source authorization, so fraud can be traced? Require that university overhead not exceed 15% in fed funding & grants (why pay for all the newly-gigantic woke university non-teaching ‘administration’ that has sprung up to change our culture over the past 20 years)? et cetera…..
But it does greatly increase the debt, if anyone will buy it, even at high interest rates, because we are borrowing to pay the interest. China, japan, europe and …. won’t be buyers.
What do you think are the consequences to PDJT is the borrowing is reduced, rather than increased?
This bill is not a budget bill. It is a reconciliation which only requires 51 votes. They always said that the cuts will come with the 2026 budget but they can also do rescission bills to claw back money already funded and kill off whatever was funded.

It’s just not possible. Now couple this with the fact that modern “news” is simply a business that draws its revenue by creating narrative that create tension..so the viewer is “lured” into the “show” and will stay glued to see what happens next …and this is what the ad and marketing biz is expecting to happen..and that is how it is produced. it has nothing whatsoever to do with reporting facts and connecting dots and revealing hard truths. how do you know that you are reading investigative journalism.
a. it is dated. it has a date.
b. the title is not misleading
c. facts and opinions are obviously separated and made clear when moving from facts to opinions about them
d. errors and mistakes are corrected. If the entire premise of the piece is wrong, it is retracted completely. no funny business involved with attempts to keep the narrative alive if the facts no longer support it.
e. the author has a proven record of being accurate, with correct the work when mistakes and errors are made and will depend on subject matter specialists and direct witnesses to guide the gist of the story.
f. the author is not beholden to some ngo, special interest party or whom gets paid from USAID in any way or through any other cutout from the USG …clear, fresh eyes, looking in, from the “outside”.
g. the author is passionate about being accurate, correct and selects the topics because they are some of the most important issues facing the nation and world. does not stray into the inane, trivial bullshit of the day.
