Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Good morning, Pa ❣️❣️🌷

Good morning Patience. What a beautiful and peaceful scene. Thank you. Have a blessed day.
Hello there, Brat😜
-Have a lovely day
Mornin’ Patience
What a magnificent scene. You guys are really crankin’!
Can wait to see all the offerings, but, first the kitty, doggie, burro chow fest awaits!
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, the new has come into being.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28
“He Sees You”
good morning garrison … that linda ronstadt video was w/ you in mind …. the dress she had on was the “ famous” betsey johnson dress that she carried around in her purse that she said she would wash out in the sink and wore many many times for shows until it got too short and then it went to a thrift store ! ♥️
Annie, I love this post . . . Linda Ronstadt is one of my very favorite performers—I absolutely love watching her videos. That said, I think the rock N roll era was not kind to women performers, most of whom ended up alone.
I think that’s a sad commentary about the guys and the times of that era. It was a time of self indulgence and embarrassing ignorance of how to care for others and build relationships. As Don Henley said, “Love ’em and Lear ’em”.
So, now Linda lives alone. As do most of the well known female performers of the era. It’s sad, really. For a time, I was at the fringes of both the counter-culture and broadcasting culture so I got to see the whole thing unfolding. Didn’t do drugs. Met the love of my life and stayed with her for the next 55 years . . . We had trust and loyalty and never strayed in all that time. 🙂
There’s a good history of those times. “Hotel California” is easily found on Amazon and elsewhere for almost no money . . . Highly recommended.
Good morning Betsy. What a cute picture to greet my morning.
Update on the waif “Cleo”. Yesterday I woke up to a skinny Cleo and 7 kittens of various hues and patterns! She then moved them and I can’t find them. I believe she put them under the coop. She will greet me this morning when I feed the horse. She knows she will also get fed then. I’ll give you an update later. Have a blessed and wonderful day.
Morning, Pat 😘☕ Oh yes please!! New life!! I wonder how many she had? Bless her, she knew where she and her new family would be safe and cared for 💕😊 Such sweet news this morning…much needed.
Betsy, she had seven kittens yesterday. Where she had them, I was able to count them but she has moved them under the chicken coop. She greeted me this morning and ate then I saw her go back under the coop. I have provided her with several better, more comfortable and cleaner alternatives to where she currently has them. I am praying she decides to put them in one of them. I am hopeful, as always. Will keep you updated.
Seven??? So I’m guessing not her first litter (based solely on females, farm cats we’ve had, with their first of four littles then increasing with their next to about that…eight tops). At least you know…
I am so relieved she knows and trusts you, Pat. More out of necessity perhaps? But wonderful.
We had a feral female who had to make the decision where. Not completely trusting until she was expecting, then throwing caution to the wind when she wanted a safe place and gingerly entering our house. I watched her, where she went, where she seemed most comfortable before she’d scarpered outside. Decided it was under our bed, which surprised me. I set up the nursery, blankets and sheets, so that every time she came in and returned to her chosen place she would feel more comfortable.
One night she came in and settled…didn’t want to go back outside as she usually did. So I knew she was close.
And so it happened that night when I awoke and heard the first weak mew with more following. Subsequently, she’d leave them and ask to go outside. And I’d have to keep checking the door periodically to check for the time when she’d come back in.
Nanny is what I was 😸…but I didn’t mind.
I’m so glad Cleo and her new babes have found a safe place with you 😌
Well said, Bet. Agree entirely. 🙂
That is great Betsy! lol
🙂
Mornin’ Bets
Love this. Those little troubadours must need a cuppa!

Morning, dear Corny 💕 Oh yes!!! Perfection!!😸☕
Bottoms up!!!
Just returned to the tree . . . Thanks, love.
Love your post too, Garrison. Sad, isn’t it that so many in that generation (it’s mine also) thought there was such a thing as “free love?” You found Real Love ❤️
Thank you, dear lady 🙂 I was lucky, I think. Austin back then was deep counter-culture. I was able, however, to find the love of my life in the midst of that cultural malestrom that devoured so many. I was also blessed with making fast friends who, even after all these years, I still regularly see (in fact I just got back from a great small-town-Texas BBQ lunch—lasting 2 hours!!!—with four of them . . . ).
Not just luck in my humble opinion, Garrison. It’s clear to me that 2 exceptional people made it happen! ❤️
-this selection is just what’s needed; thank you, my man Garrison
-💞💖💞
Love you, dear Patience . . . 🙂
😎
-😊
Well . . . shucks dear Patience . . . What can I say? Thanks for your kind words, love.
I love it!
What lovely late night conversations I’m reading…. 😘
Time to let the moggies out, I think on this CATURDAY morn 💕☕
There are groups…
And then are GROUPS!!!!
I think they live here 😼
Hahahahahaha! Winner.
Bets,
I think that kitty might actually be “flappable Jack!”
How it started
How it’s going 😼
Excellent!
Morning, dear brother 😘☕😉👍🏻
You have not disappointed this morning with the “Caturday” images. Love everyone of them! Thank you for all the smiles you’ve brought me this morning. I needed them as I spent a very restless night. I think I was worried about the kittens.
You sound like me, sis… If I’m anything to go by, yes, that’s exactly what was on your mind. Your soft heart speaks for you 💕
Mornin’ Pat
Yep, Betsy always brings the goods – as do so many Terrific Treepers here.
I sure hope Mama Kitty let’s you see the kittens today! ❤️ 🐈

Cat food must be cheap there..
I’d hope so!! 😁
Bets,
Could also be a kitty shower in the right conditions!
It could!!! 😂
I thought a group of cats was called a “clowder”…?
Nice digs…
Bets,
I claim the one with the toe beans!
Oh how sweet, Corny!! 😍
Look, Ma!! I haz clean toe beans!! 😊

Morning, dear Bet! Comet sleeps like that every night. 😻❤️
Morning, dearest bro 😽💕☕ That’s trust right there. Sending pets Comet’s way….
Love this relaxin’ kitty, Bets.
My very best relaxer is Zane Grey:
Let me find a different pose
Oh wait – maybe tomorrow! 😻
Hahaha…he’s begging for belly rubs looks like.. What a handsome fellow!! 😽
🎶 I got a pocket full of miracles! 🎶
Dear Bet (and other kitty friends) . . . Little ‘Tink has an apparent ear mite problem. I tried treating the problem with meds but she so hates the mite medication than I’m reduced to removing the tufts/lesions in her fur with a flea-comb (and an occasional finger nail) .
I made a huge mistake by putting drops in her ear. That so traumatized her that she won’t allow me near her with anything that smells like meds. Any suggestions about what I should do? I’m keeping them pretty much cleared but they keep returning so the mites aren’t gone.- Essential oils are a natural insecticide. I wonder if a mixture will work on mites?
Good evening Garrison. When I had my grooming shop and even now, I make a very weak solution of tea tree oil, lavender oil (this helps them relax) in addition to antiseptic properties and distilled water. Use a glass container, not plastic. Just make sure the lavender oil is “Lavandula Augustifolia” as the other lavender oils do not relax them, they tend to hype them up. It works on mites and doggy ear infections. The cowboys would come by the ranch and get some for their cow dogs and water dogs for ear infections. They got tired of the vet treatments costing so much and not working. It takes a bit longer but it works. You just need patience and perseverance. I never charged them, just got them to help me when I had to wean my calves and needed extra hands.
Does she like her ears scratched? If so just wet a cotton ball with the solution and gently massage her ears inside if she will let you. Squeeze the cotton ball to get a trickle of the solution in her ears. The critters will shake their head so do just put small amounts in because it will sting their eyes.
All other treepers, this solution works on any critter with ear problems. I’ve used it on my horses, dogs, and cats. It even works on us humans!
Thanks so much for this, Brat. Printing it out now. I’ll try it and report back. Again, thanks love. 🙂
Oh I was hoping you would see it tonight and respond. You are so very welcome Garrison. The lavender oil masks the tea tree oil smell, so it is not medicinal smelling. Also ticks hate tea tree oil so you can use it on ticks as well and they will die if dropped in some. Yes, Please let me know how it works out for you.
I’m still trying to persuade my momma cat to come out from under the coop with her kittens. I’m quite concerned about the kittens. Today I went out and hung up a canvas tarp so if it rains it will help protect them. I so hope she comes out and chooses a better place (I’ve set out three) for her to choose from.
I’ll just keep praying for some God intervention. Have a blessed evening.
Oh, Pat.
Saying a little prayer for those kittens and you.
Thank you Soaz. Greatly appreciate it. Have a restful evening.
Patti, for a “very weak” solution can you tell us your suggested amounts or ratios of each ingredient to a specific volume of water?
Thanks…
Good suggestion GB. I’m not very good at decoding “very weak” I’m afraid. Full eye dropper’s worth in an once of water? One eye dropper drop per once????? Or, as my mom used to say, “Oh, a little bit” . . . 🙂
Hi Garrison, I use 5 drops of lavender oil and 3 drops of tea tree oil in 6 ounces of water. Sorry, I should have given you better instructions.
Thanks!!
My wife’s maternal grandmother (& grandfather) ran a restaurant for decades in Baltimore City. She passed in 1973, but a few decades back my wife’s cousin found her original recipes that Grandma had brought over from Spain (c. 1920) that were written in her handwriting. They all had the ingredients but very few had amounts…..
The family cooks all tried to determine the right amounts and everyone eventually settled on slightly different measures…. 😁
I watched my Grandmother and mother cook and they never measured anything. I hoped I’d get to that point and I have now been able to cook with out measuring. I still measure for baking though as that needs to be precise for it to turn out well.
I still have to feed my horse his late night alfalfa and then I shall call it a day and get some sleep. Talk to you all tomorrow either before I go to church or after. Good night to all Treepers, and may you have a very blessed and restful evening.
Thank you, Brat. You’re conversing with someone who’d have trouble boiling water . . . 🙂

👍 👍 👍
Thanks!
Great info Pat. ❤️
Garrison
I hope you are still here – if not I’ll try again tomorrow.
I indeed Do have a solution for ear mites – have used it on very severe cases with good results.
Diatomaceous earth comes in 2 forms – you absolutely Must use food grade. It is available at pet supply stores, feed stores, and some nurseries. (The other diatomaceous earth or DE, has chemicals in it that make it poisonous to ingest). The food grade is actually good for animals – people give it to their horses as a parasite cleanse.
Anyway, it has the consistency of powder. You put some on your little finger tip and rub it inside the ear. Kills those buggers really quickly, doesn’t have any odor, doesn’t sting, is safe, and is even cheap. It is also very effective on fleas.
The stuff is made of ancient tiny fossilized diatoms that are found on the bottom of the ocean – though it feels like soft powder, the edges of the diatoms are sharp enough to make microscopic cuts in the exoskeleton of the mites and they essentially desicate or dry out. I’ve had great success with it. Good luck!
Yes, I use this on fire ant mounds along with ground cinnamon (evidently they hate the cinnamon). Some of the ants will die and the rest desert the mound. Though I can never get rid of them completely!
Because my chickens free range all day, this on the mounds wont hurt the chickens. The diatomaceous earth is good for the mites on the chickens.
Just have to be careful and not breathe any of it in!
The diatomaceous earth doesn’t get down in the cat’s ear and stay there and cause any issues?
Howdy, Garrison!
Howdy, Gramps!
Israel Update:
-The IDF reported that “in the past day it attacked heavily in various areas of Gaza and some forces entered strategic areas as a first step of Operation Gideon’s Chariots and the expansion of the campaign in Gaza in order to release the hostages and defeat Hamas.”
The Israeli War Cabinet will meet on Sunday, the Israeli team will leave Qatar on Saturday.
Basically there is a slow motion into the Operation in order to give them a chance to do a hostage deal before the operation begins for real. But this was an official announcement.
-The Israeli Air Force sent some 15 jet fighters to Yemen and damaged badly two of their main ports. Advanced warnings were given as to avoid civilian casualties. This follows regular ballistic missiles that they fire at Israel. The idea is to get them into a state of a naval siege the way they are doing to us in the south.
The defense Minister said that “we will defend ourselves and their leader (he named him) will be taken out just like Nasrallah in Lebanon, Hanyeh in Iran and the Sinwars in Gaza. “
Note: Notice that he said “the Sinwars” in plural. This is the first time that Israel is suggesting that Muhammad Sinwar is dead. But we sill need a confirmation.
-A terror attack n Jerusalem. A Palestinian stabbed a police officer in the back. His condition is moderate. The terrorist was eliminated.
-NBC reported that the Trump Administration is working on a plan to move a million Gazans to Libya. Note: There is a strong Arab alliance against it. We will see.
-Trump mentioned “starvation in Gaza”. I believe that this was due to his meeting with the Qataris. They are the leaders of Hamas propaganda. I didn’t post it but I recently had videos of restaurants and market booths full of food. If you watch the bombardment videos you see people in good shape running. There are also staged videos about “starving children”, I am sure that it’s staged. The IDF said that there is no starvation but there could soon be, so they are preparing safe zones at the south to distribute aide. Trump is involved in the aide program. As you can see he has attention on it.
-The timing of the Gaza campaign is not parallel to Trump’s state of mind as he just came back from the Arab States and Qatar who are trying to make him pressure Israel to stop the war (save Hamas) and are flattering him to be “a man of peace”. A better timing would have been when Trump told them to “return all the hostages or face the gates of Hell”.
We have now started to open the gates of Hell. There is some intense footage, I will post a bit.
As I said, to have peace the Hamas-Nazis must be defeated and the people must understand that what they did in Israel was a very bad idea. The latest pole still shows support for Hamas and there is no help about the hostages. It’s a small and dense area, many know and could help. Released hostages report that the population is as hostile as the Hamas.
-I will post some prayers after the update as our soldiers are getting back into Gaza and they will need it. I invite all who pray to do so for the victory and safety of the soldiers or whatever you think it should be. .
God bless you my friends.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee

They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you, declares the Lord, to deliver you.”

Thanks annie for the beautiful cats! This Arabian Leopard was gifted to the American people during President Trump’s trip.
What a beauty he is!! Wonder where he will be taken, would love to see him. Thanks for posting his picture.

Good morning cn. Been there and done that, unfortunately on too many occasions. Thanks for the laugh and painful reminder. Have a wonderful day.
Oh my goodness, that is too funny!
Can confirm from decades of observation. 🤣
As a full grown man……this is true of men.
As a man married for 35 years……..this IS true of women.
Also as a man married for 35 years, this is *EXACTLY* what happens when a man and a woman “team up” to get two items from the store so they can go do whatever they gotta do!!!
The man spends an INSANE amount of aggravation and time trying to find the woman!
You get my wife in a store……pick a store, ANY store…….you couldn’t find her with a bloodhound faster than a greyhound!
Been there, done this, and it’s why I just drop her off at some stores and wait in the car til she sends a text to come pick her up.
This was a great interview. I was a big Warren Zevon fan from my early teens.
Thought so too. 🙂

I’ve seen colder Memorial day weekends. The last Indy 500 I attended was in 1992 and it was the coldest in the long history of that race. This years race may challenge that record.

And a Saturday wakey wakey:
I never sailed on the SS United States but I did have the honor to occupy a hammock berth on one of Uncle Sam’s troop ships on a scenic cruise across the wide Pacific in the ‘60s. Compliments of Uncle Sam’s 8th Army.
Our horns sounded about the same as the SS United States.
But our accommodations were of a different caliber.
“The Caisson Song” – American Field Artillery March
Awesome video and was that Patton towards the end?
My dad a few trips on the Big U…later on, he took my mother and I on a personal tour of the ship and the engine room somewhere around ’64 give or take….I got to see a bright sunny play room, too. And they would not let me play with the toys. And there were tons!
Dad often spoke of the liberty ships, back in the day…
Yup, that was General Patton.
My voyage was in August, 1964 …. we sailed underneath the Golden Gate Bridge and said goodby to the good ol’ USA for 3 years.
We were 1/2 way across the Pacific when President Johnson signed the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution ……… the world changed that day…….. the scuttlebutt from the crew was the only news we received.
Last evening in Somerset, KY
Video:
We had a helluva storm roll through E. TN at 3am too. Thunder woke me up. It shook the house at times.

Good morning Aggiegirl. Awww that was so cute. The dog eventually got used to and accepted the kitten. Thanks and have a blessed and wonderful day.
Today:

Tomorrow:

Send us more rain!
Us too…
We’ve got 4 days remaining for this spat of increased severe weather. This is where we’re at compared to the last 15 years in the straight count:

And this where we’re at in the adjusted count:

The reason there is an adjusted count is because increasing dopplar radar capability, a more spread out population, and an increase in the number of certified observers have increased over time. Thus more tornadoes are being detected and this goes especially for the less violent EF-1s and 2s.
I had the honor to have a beer with this man at the NCO club at Ft. Dam Houston as an SF instructor at the old SOMED course in 1990.
@infantrydort
Roy Benavidez wasn’t just a man—he was a goddamn FORCE OF NATURE, a warrior carved from iron and defiance, spitting in the face of death itself! This isn’t a story; it’s a SAGA etched in blood, bullets, and unbreakable will. Master Sergeant Roy P. Benavidez didn’t just fight—he REDEFINED what it means to be a hero. Buckle up, because this is gonna hit like a napalm strike!
Born in ‘35 to a Mexican-American dad and Yaqui mom, Roy was orphaned at SEVEN. No mom, no dad, just poverty so brutal it’d crush most souls. He shined shoes, picked fruit, and clawed his way through a world that didn’t give a damn. Dropped out of school to feed his family. At 17, he said, “Screw this,” and joined the Texas National Guard, then the Army. This wasn’t just a kid; this was a lion in the making.
Vietnam, ‘65. Green Beret. Badass among badasses. Then a landmine blows his legs to hell. Docs say, “You’re done. You’ll never walk.” Roy? He laughs. Every night, he crawls from his hospital bed, trains in secret, muscles screaming, soul roaring. A YEAR later, he WALKS OUT and GOES BACK TO WAR. “They gave up on me. I didn’t give up on myself.” That’s not grit—that’s GOD-TIER RESOLVE.
May 2, 1968. Cambodia. A 12-man Special Forces team is pinned down by ONE THOUSAND North Vietnamese. They’re done for. Roy’s not even on the mission, but he hears the radio and says, “Not today.” Grabs a rifle, a knife, medical gear, and jumps on a chopper. What happens next is so insane, it sounds like a fever dream—but it’s DOCUMENTED.
He leaps from the helicopter into a HAILSTORM of bullets. Runs 75 yards through hell to reach his brothers. Gets SHOT in the face, head, legs. STABBED with a bayonet. Does he stop? HELL NO. He pulls wounded men to safety, shields them with his own body, calls in airstrikes, and KILLS enemy soldiers while dragging classified docs out. Shrapnel rips him apart. His jaw’s broken. 37 WOUNDS, people—THIRTY-SEVEN. A North Vietnamese soldier stabs him; Roy kills him with a KNIFE. He drags the last man to the chopper and COLLAPSES. They think he’s dead. They zip him in a body bag. Then Roy SPITS IN THE DOCTOR’S FACE to say, “I AIN’T DONE YET!”
He spends a year recovering—AGAIN. Gets the Distinguished Service Cross, but Reagan himself upgrades it to the MEDAL OF HONOR when the truth comes out. Roy didn’t just save lives; he saved EVERYONE and the mission’s secrets, defying orders, defying physics, defying DEATH.
After? He’s no silent vet. He speaks, inspires, lifts up troops, becomes a mentor, a legend. Schools, streets, ships—his name’s immortal. He dies in ‘98, but his fire burns in every warrior’s heart. “A real hero is someone who gets up even when they can’t.” Roy didn’t just get up—he SOARED. This man was sacrifice. Loyalty. Pain endured for something bigger. Roy Benavidez wasn’t just badass—he was MYTHIC. Bow to the king.
Roy spit in the docs face because he couldn’t talk but had to show him he was still alive.
Good morning rah. Hope you are now well rested from your trip.
Wow, thank you for this story. What an inspiration! Have a most blessed and wonderful day.
Thank you. It takes 2 days for me to fully recover. Still got a little haze.
It’s a beautiful day here though. Steve mowed my yard day before yesterday so I don’t have to worry about that.
My tasks today are get milk and bread and some other perishables. Stock up my bird and critter feed. And pick up sticks in the yard blown down by last nights winds.
Get as much rest as you can. I know the feeling well when one takes a long driving trip.
Taking care of my critters today and hoping our weather does not get too violent, but I am in North Texas, near the red River, so will probably see some noisy storms, but hopefully no tornadoes.
Have a blessed day.
Our nation can never express enough gratitude for the sacrifices of Roy Benavidz. Thank you, rah for bringing us his story. ❤️ 🇺🇸
PS My brother called it Fort Dam(n) Houston when he was there in 1970. 😊
* too late for the edit function to work and want to spell Roy’s name correctly- Benavidez
It was a typo on my part. I did my AIT there and then the longest portion of the SF medic training there. But my last time there was as an instructor at the longest portion of SF medic training and Sherry and I really enjoyed that tour.
We had one of those nice little stucco homes on Chaffee on the ridge line overlooking a good amount of the post and could see all the way out to I-35 and beyond. Best government quarters we ever had. A nice yard of Saint Augustine grass, an oak tree with a trunk about 6′ in diameter in the back yard that probably was a sapling when the Alamo went down. A Magnolia tree in the front yard and some rose bushes along the side of the house. Humming birds golore at our feeder. Sherry had to large pots I picked up in Mexico bordering the walk to our front porch with beautiful hibiscus in them. And we really took care of the place. We got enlisted yard of the month 3 times and yard of the year once.
rah
Sounds idyllic! Not at all surprised about the enlisted yard of the month! 😁
Magnolia you sweet thing.
Lovely, Intense. Thank you.
Wow! Would you happen to have a photo of your place there. I’d love to see it.
What year were the homes built, rob? (roughly) 40s? 50s?
It was built during the depression as part of FDRs make work projects. Tile roof. All hardwood floors except for the bathrooms and the kitchen. Two full bathrooms, one of them off our bedroom. All tile floors. The dining area and living room were combined. There was not room for anything but a two seat breakfast nook in the kitchen.
Small one car garage underneath with a utility/furnace room off of it. Just enough room in the garage to get a fridge, a car, my grill, and push mower in there.
There was was whole neighborhood of them on three different streets. All NCO family quarters.
I was a Sr. E-7with a family when I signed in at Ft. Sam so rated decent quarters.
I will post pics when I can after getting some service that provides for it.
Thank you for this story. What a fantastic person he must have been. Many thanks to you for your service to our country!! God Bless You.
Wow! What stories he could tell.
What an incredible man. Hero.
The mention of shining shoes brings back a 60’s memory of Penn Station.
I will never forget this man’s amazing story.

Johann Michael Bach
(1648-1694)
German composer (In Dulci Jubilo), dies at 46
Biography: Johann Michael Bach was a German composer of the Baroque period. He was the son of Heinrich Bach, the great uncle of Johann Sebastian Bach, the brother of Johann Christoph Bach, and the first cousin, once removed, and father-in-law of Johann Sebastian Bach, as he was the father of J.S. Bach’s first wife, Maria Barbara Bach.
In 1673, Johann Michael became the organist and town clerk of Gehren, where he lived until his death. His most well-known work is the small chorale prelude for organ, “In Dulci Jubilo,” which was initially attributed to J.S. Bach (BWV 751). Other important works by Johann Michael Bach include the cantatas “Ach, bleib bei uns, Herr Jesu Christ,” “Liebster Jesu, hör mein Flehen,” and “Ach, wie sehnlich wart’ ich der Zeit.”
In addition to composing music, Johann Michael Bach also made musical instruments, including harpsichords. His works were initially overshadowed by the fame of Johann Sebastian Bach, but his compositions have gained recognition in recent years.

Good morning Magic. Thank you for this video. It was just what I needed with my coffee to wake up! Loved the accordion duet!
Lawrence Welk was born in North Dakota. His family were German Catholics who had lived in Russia in farming villages. English was his second language.
Rest in Peace
The Germans from Russia have a number of historical and genealogical libraries, museums, archives, and websites that they have dedicated to sharing and preserving their story.
My one set of grandparents LOVED Lawrence Welk. Watched it every early Saturday night.
Mine too.
And-a-one, and a two…….
Dude was a genius.
Interesting.

US statesman and 1st US Chief Justice, dies at 83
On my ranch the John Deere tractor we had was my very favorite tractor. Every tractor after that felt inferior to drive. Found the Deere to be the easiest tractor to drive and use. Have a wonderful day.
We had a 50’s vintage ford tractor that we used mostly in the winter to push into the shop those vehicles that were towed in but everyone preferred the little hydro-static transmission Deere lawn mower to push vehicles in. It was much easier to operate & started and ran when you needed it, the Ford required way to much repair attention to get it to run every winter & didn’t run very well … even after spending loads of money on it with one of or drivablilty technicians constantly working on it. (he was the good one too)
And you have a wonderful evening Pat.

Verse of the Day for Saturday, May 17, 2025
✟
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
Galatians 6:7 (KJV)
COMMENTARY FOR GALATIANS 6
(6-11) “Many excuse themselves from the work of religion, though they may make a show, and profess it. They may impose upon others, yet they deceive themselves if they think to impose upon God, who knows their hearts as well as actions; and as he cannot be deceived, so he will not be mocked. Our present time is seed time; in the other world we shall reap as we sow now. As there are two sorts of sowing, one to the flesh, and the other to the Spirit, so will the reckoning be hereafter. Those who live a carnal, sensual life, must expect no other fruit from such a course than misery and ruin. But those who, under the guidance and influences of the Holy Spirit, live a life of faith in Christ, and abound in Christian graces, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. We are all very apt to tire in duty, particularly in doing good. This we should carefully watch and guard against. Only to perseverance in well-doing is the reward promised. Here is an exhortation to all to do good in their places. We should take care to do good in our life-time, and make this the business of our lives. Especially when fresh occasions offer, and as far as our power reaches.”
Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ABUSED, MISSING, AND TRAFFICKED CHILDREN
BE MY VOICE
JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

HYMN
For the fruits of His creation,
Thanks be to God.
For His gifts to every nation,
Thanks be to God.
For the plowing, sowing, reaping,
silent growth while we are sleeping,
future needs in earth’s safekeeping,
Thanks be to God.
In the just reward of labor,
God’s will is done.
In the help we give our neighbor,
God’s will is done.
In our worldwide task of caring
For the hungry and despairing,
In the harvests we are sharing,
God’s will is done.
For the harvests of his Spirit,
Thanks be to God.
For the good we all inherit,
Thanks be to God.
For the wonders that astound us,
For the truths that still confound us,
Most of all that love has found us,
Thanks be to God.
“For the Fruits of His Creation”

HELP IN DISTRESS
Jesus said: “I will be with you always!”
And thus – He is worthy of – all praise;
When we are weak – it is He who is strong
He will not abandon us – all day long!
We go day to day stressed and strained;
All helter-skelter – our efforts restrained;
By one failure and foible after another;
The buffoonery boggles – sorely smother!
We start and stop till eventually;
We’re just spinning our wheels unusually;
What did we forget to consider or try?
This is not working – but we don’t know why!
Did we pray and ask and did we receive?
His gifts, fruits, and wisdom – did we conceive?
Or did we just think we could do without?
Ask not a question or wonder or doubt?
After all, we are smart – we can do it ourselves;
We can order and sort and arrange on the shelves;
Why would we need any assistance at all?
We’re ready, willing, able – to answer the call!
When we try to do anything on our own;
We reap only partially what we have sown;
Without Jesus Christ – our success is nil;
When we attempt to succeed – by our own will!
Through prayerful reflection – dedicate your day;
Relinquish your effort – send your strife His way;
Prayerfully – carefully – just listen to Him;
Without His assistance – your chances are slim!
So next time you venture out into the world;
Take care to pray, first – lest you be unfurled;
Through the self and its plagues of centeredness;
You get dire deception and pigheadedness!
Remember what Jesus has promised He’d do;
To always be with you – send His Spirit, too;
When you are distraught and distracted someday;
Your Help in Distress – is the Truth, Life, and Way!

It was certainly a fabulous trip.

At least 75% of people who read this will try to lick their elbow!

did you try?

12 Facts That Prove That Our Society Is Causing Boys To Fall Way Behind Girls From A Very Early Age
Little boys just don’t like to sit still and pay attention for long stretches of time. They are designed to be hunters and explorers and adventurers. But our schools are not designed for hunters and explorers and adventurers. As a result, boys tend to have disciplinary problems more often than girls, and girls tend to get higher grades than boys.

Good morning Freedom Ring. Thank you for posting this. The statistics are alarming and a warning we must fix this. In my humble opinion, I believe it is purposely done in our schools. They do not want alpha males as they could and would create a much better world and mess up the globullists (as our dear Dutchman) refers to them, plans to rule in a world they create.
Have a wonderful day.
Well. Another day at the farm. There is always one that will find the open gate.

And then everyone else wants to join!!!
And…. So thankful for two kids that can help us run them home. !

This is so true. We dairy farmed for many years, I miss the fresh milk and home made ice cream, but not all the work involved with farming. Have had to round up the cows quite a few times. They rip and tear like young heifers when they get out and really don’t want to go back into their pasture. We had Holstein cows and farmed 107 acres.
Thanks for sharing, DD.
beautiful property!
look how cute they all are, wantin’ to join 🙂
(easy for me to say, right)
Why are people saying that the “Great Big Beautiful Bill” contains a TEMPORARY $4000 deduction for Seniors, instead of the elimination of taxation on our Social Security benefits?
He made a promise and needs to KEEP it.
Hmmmmm…..

There are 677 local district judges. Under current procedure, the president needs unanimous consent from all 677 to implement a major decision. If just 1 communist out of 677 unelected judges disagrees, the action is frozen. Nationwide. That is not democracy. That is tyranny.
I wonder if the ‘current procedure’ can be changed…
after all, the dems/uniparty change things all the time.

Is there a “temporary” alternative to go to?
Almighty God, we give you thanks for surrounding us, as daylight fades, with the brightness of the vesper light; and we implore you of your great mercy that, as you enfold us with the radiance of this light, so you would shine into our hearts the brightness of your Holy Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Grant us, Lord, the lamp of charity which never fails, that it may burn in us and shed its light on those around us, and that by its brightness we may have a vision of that holy City, where dwells the true and never-failing Light, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
O Lord God Almighty, as you have taught us to call the evening, the morning, and the noonday one day; and have made the sun to know its going down: Dispel the darkness of our hearts, that by your brightness we may know you to be the true God and eternal light, living and reigning for ever and ever. Amen.
Seek him who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns deep darkness into the morning, and darkens the day into night; who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the surface of the earth: The Lord is his name. Amen.
