Dealmaker and Peacemaker. President Trump participates in a signing ceremony with the emir of Qatar. Their mutual friendship was on full display as they signed several agreements.
The first agreement was an “agreement of buying aircraft from Boeing,” which was signed by Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg for the United States. There were no additional details disclosed; however, President Trump later touted it as Qatar’s largest order in Boeing jet history and congratulated Kelly.
Next, each country’s defense secretary signed a number of agreements between Qatar and the United States, one of which was a deal for Qatar to purchase new MQ-9B drones. The U.S. gave initial approval for that purchase in March (let’s hope those drones don’t end up in Ukraine flying into Moscow). Lastly, the president and emir signed a joint declaration of cooperation between Qatar and the U.S. WATCH:
After the signing ceremony, President Trump remarked that it had been an “interesting couple of hours” in which they discussed the Russia-Ukraine war and Iran, expressing gratitude for Qatar’s “great help.” President Trump is hopeful the meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin in Turkey will result in a ceasefire. President Trump has dispatched Secretary of State Marco Rubio, along with emissaries Steven Witkoff and Keith Kellogg to play good cop-bad cop.

Bringing home the bacon to the MIC component of the DeepState before they allow him to end the war in Ukraine.
Perceptive, very astute observation as is his offer to Mexico to use US forces against the cartels.🖖🏻
no grumpy…this is 80’s or 90’s…….
Grandpa, I’m not so sure that Russia will be offered a deal that addresses their security concerns, thus providing a remedy to the underlying reasons for the war. NATO urgently wants to freeze the conflict, so it can be reignited at an more opportune time, and after a nice Ukrainian rearming. Will be very surprised if Russia takes the bait.
Why Does Qatar need MQ-9 Reaper Drones?
Well — there could be an uprising of Berber Separatists, and you’d want to surveil and shoot up their Separatist camel caravans when they’re still outside the city in the desert, right?
Geez, is it just me? Am I taking crazy pills here?
Sorry nim but I can’t answer that while looking at your avatar 😁
I am Nimrodman and I approve this message … uh, image … uh, whatever …
Met him once outside the In & Out Burger on the Las Vegas Strip. He was in his multi colored hair phase then. He had teen age Manson type groupies getting burgers for him.
He’s literally had that Avatar for YEARS.
So we can control the drones, reap intel, etc? I agree they should only be allowed NERF weapons.
isn’t that a potential kamala harris Supreme ‘Court” appointee?
Getting too friendly with anyone in the Middle East, other than Israel, makes me nervous. Genesis 12: 3
you will be very nervous for very looooooong time…..
It is likely that Israel is amenable to the US to do things in the ME that Israel cannot do.
Maybe because Hamas requested them?
you’re probably closer to the truth than you suspect
I reckon
Communists in the media trying to claim that the $400 million dollar airplane is inappropriate, and that the Trump golf-course in Qatar is a corrupt deal, in which President TRUMP uses the presidency to enrich his family.

The distortion and twisting never stops!
Yeah….he’s only over there to make lucrative deals for his rich tech buddies. YAWN………. /s
Is Hunter co-ordinating the monetary distribution?
the golf course will have the world’s biggest sand trap.

True. I’m embarrassed to say, but reddit is brimming & flowing over with ONLY this “messaging.”
I have a had hard time believing there are sooo maanny dim reflectors of the MSM, but living in IL for a couple decades has opened my eyes to reality. Many people have zero instincts for survival or common sense. They just gobble up the messages vomited out by the talking heads like little baby birds 🐥
Perhaps with some true transparency, they will finally see the evil wrought by the corrupt puppet masters.
Trump is building a coalition for the upcoming action against Iran. Deals have to be made to weaken Iran’s influence before the action takes place. Thus the meeting with the new President of Syria. If Trump can keep the surrounding nations from attacking Israel (normal kneejerk reaction) when the game starts, he has won half the battle already.
Crazy that more people don’t see this staring them right in the face. Same with China. Trump’s moves have positioned more countries against China.
Putin isn’t going to the meeting, which is why Trump isn’t going. It appeared a couple of hours ago that Zelenskyy was still going.
If the drones are (like some weapon systems we “gave” Ukraine) dependent on ultra-advanced US space-based technology to perform with superiority on the battlefield…
and if the area in which the US has maintained a huge advantage over any other country is in space-based surveillance…
the weapon systems that are dependent on that technology become both a reminder that the US owns the high ground, and an incentive to remain on the good side of the US, to have that security against incursion or invasion in your hip pocket. It’s a protection agreement that’s more flexible than a treaty, that can be turned off on a moment’s notice, if the recipient begins to work against US interests.
This would reflect the policy change from having US military stationed in so many countries around the world as our means of maintaining appropriate subservience, to a “Fortress America” model that generates loyalties from a safe distance using more carrots than sticks.
That’s my hypothesis, anyway.
Why is Trump selling Qatar Reapers?
The Houthis have downed 24 Reaper drones.
Qatar is near the Houthis.
Do the math…
So the question posed is WHY does QATAR “need” Reaper drones … ?? Isn’t that somewhat akin to asking: “WHY did the chicken cross the road”.
Does anyone REALLY think Qatar is going to operate them … ??? Here’s a hint: they simply do not have the technological or logistical base coupled with the operational skills to integrate them into a useful military purpose, IMO. Hence, the Qatari’s won’t be “operating” them, per se. Sure, jointly, perhaps … but these days that’s usually just a cover put in place for a variety of reasons — reasons both “foreign and domestic”.
Or perhaps this instead: Why does Qatar “need” the Al Udeid Air Base — a.k.a. the largest (*USAF*) airbase in the Middle East ?? Then check out Qatar and Al Udeid’s geographical position on a map … and that ‘WHY answer’ is pretty much the same in both cases.
Or, alternatively, and from the way-back machine: why did the Republic of Vietnam “need” Tan Son Nhut Air Base (USAF), Long Bihn Post (US Army), Da Nang Air Base and Port (USN/USMC), Cam Ranh Bay Port facility (everybody) ?? Since we never seem to learn our lessons in these types of scenarios, the answer is probably the same; I’m just speculating in a different era.
“Speculating” ?? Sure I am, but BTDT and Q.E.D.
I don’t know where POTUS gets all his stamina for a man of his age but, he is rightly looking pretty tired. I hope it’s just all the travel.
So instead of continuing to tell me that I’ve already made a comment that I have not, just block me if you don’t want me to comment anymore.
