Respect again on the world stage? Our country doesn’t exist to serve the opinions of foreigners. It exists for our protection and prosperity and peace within our own borders. You actually think the American people were losing sleep over whether or some Middle Eastern kingdom, who helped commit the biggest terrorist attack on U.S. soil, shows our POTUS respect? The only thing we care about is getting back to non-intervention in foreign wars and self-sufficiency. We have no vital economic or security interests halfway around the world in the Middle East.

We don’t need trade with Saudi Arabia or any Middle Eastern country for that matter. We also have our own oil. The majority of the world relies on OPEC oil. The United States does not. We have our own WTI with our own exchange. If American expats don’t like how they are treated in foreign countries then don’t live in those foreign countries.

Not that you need a helper, but along with your points, every friend in the Middle East is a step closer to peace in the region and beyond, including having them all come together to defeat terrorism, whether it be Hamas, the Houthis or just housing refugees while rebuilding the tunneled bombed out Gaza Strip to be a fresh new glowing jewel, where peace, diversity and prosperity will reign, easily coming full circle and radiating godliness and hope throughout the region.

As for Qatar and American tax dollars–it’s the exact opposite. Qatar uses its own money to FUND AMERICAN MILITARY BASES.

Trump is to bring peace to Americans and to protect our country, not foreign countries. That entails closing all U.S. bases in the Middle East (and around the world) and bringing all of military home. AND no more foreign aid or military equipment to any foreign country. Foreign countries will have wars until the end of time. They can fight and pay for them all by themselves.

It’s not really a matter of agreement. It just happens to be a fact that the United States in North America needs nothing from the Middle East halfway around the world. Just like we don’t need anything from Canada or Mexico.

So when you say trade opportunities that connotes that we need something from these foreign countries which we do not. As far as jobs created in the U.S. to sell to them, making weapons of war that bring destruction and death to other countries is not something the American people want or need. That is not a vital interest to the United States. We don’t need foreign countries to crate jobs for us inside our own country.

And peace in a foreign region halfway around the world is also not our job nor a national security interest here at home.

Yes, we’ve all noted it. Fortunately we’ve seen it before and can ignore it as Trump has when they have been reduced to just trying to slow him down. That’s it, their strategy, it’s all they’ve got left in their tool chest, like the troll here, trying to interrupt thoughtful discourse with non stop oppositional nonsense.

Why not? Because the United States belongs to the American people not the corporations for their never-ending greedy benefit. Great they want to make money but Musk, Fink, and Altman can do that anytime and fly there. U.S. public servants are to work for American citizen interests here at home and abroad, not directly for corporations and their bottom line.

Whatever you think about it, we have to lead or at least keep up with AI or we won’t survive in the new technologies coming at us full force.

The trick is to figure out ways to use it so it serves people instead of enslaving.

I’m not a business advocate or good at it and don’t have a clue about high finance. But I learned a good lesson growing and up, and also right after I graduated from college and wanted to get a “real” job.

There were very few jobs available when I started looking. Over time I gained a lot of respect for the life my parents had provided and that it had depended on there being a labor market and their ability to find a place in the market. I had friends just as frustrated as I was and saw many of them take jobs that had something to do with what they had learned as part-timers in school. Those weren’t the jobs they dreamed of, but they were jobs.

What does this have to do with what President Trump is doing today? He’s creating opportunities for people by supporting the businesses that will be built in the coming years. The opportunities will come in the form of new jobs and changes to existing jobs and in some cases people might have to regroup/retrain through formal school or apprentice programs. But the bottom line is President Trump is creating jobs and that is what a country needs to survive and grow.

If we don’t have businesses creating jobs, we will slowly suffocate as a country, which is the road we were on before the 2024 election. You might say, well, work in education or some other field that “isn’t a business.” But it is businesses that create the foundation for all jobs.

When I was around eleven my father came home and announced he would have to go to California for a job because the copper company he worked for was going on what he thought would be a long strike. He did go and my life was a hundred percent different, not anywhere near as easy and secure as it had always been. Luckily the strike didn’t last long and when the next strike came he was in “management,” so he wasn’t going to lose income. But from that one small incident it was clear to me that a family must be able to support itself in some way. I gained a lot of respect for kids I knew who came from families who struggled (maybe the parents had trouble fitting in the labor market or for whatever reason the family had problems that hurt their ability to hold a job). Families are the heart of our civilization.

It’s also true that businesses often do things counter to people’s best interests. Think industrial pollution or our current problem with foreign work visas, for example. We must solve these problems. But we can’t just throw businesses in general under the bus and say forget about these evil and greedy people. Yes, many are evil and greedy, but we the people can’t do without a viable economic foundation, so we must work to solve the problems.

The economy — our economy — drives everything. There is no getting around it. This is part of the reason we have so many deaths from drugs. In recent years our bad governments have created situations where many people basically lost their lives or couldn’t get started in a life because of extreme challenges. Not everyone is flexible or can turn on a dime when a local economy crashes.

Granted people must work hard to become qualified and find the right fit of a job, basically to “do what it takes,” but at the end of the day the economy drives everything. Without a reasonable economy, people have very little chance.

You might say well a person can start a business. Yes, but that in itself is a skill, and it comes back to the same issue, which is that businesses are the foundation of our lives.

Sure, we are currently facing all kinds of horrors with how to deal with new technologies like AI without being made into slaves or prisoners of “the state.” But at the end of the day, our economy is the foundational of our lives.

So today President Trump is doing what he always tries to do: save “we the people” and our future generations.

President Trump is working for we the people. He’s been doing that 24/7 for years and has upped his ability big time in the last four and a half months.
