When I first tuned in to the meeting, I thought it was some kind of Trump rally with the “Proud to be an American” theme song at the beginning and the audience members standing up with their cameras. Then I realized it was the conference in Saudi Arabia.
I jokingly said to my friend, wouldn’t it be great if they closed with YMCA but we figured it would never happen since they probably didn’t even allow the song to be played in this venue. Not to mention that there are other, shall we say “issues” in Muslim communities when it comes to gays, LGBTQ, etc. who could end up getting thrown off a roof, let alone singing YMCA at a major international conference.
Then, low and behold, leave it to our amazing President Trump- they closed out their conference with YMCA! If this wasn’t the masterpiece of trolling or whatever you call it, I don’t know what was.
A hundred years from now, when people look back to these times and see all the things that our President Trump accomplished including his many brilliant stunts, like the garbage truck, working at McDonald’s, standing up for Peanut the Squirrel, nobody is going to believe it. They will say that we made it up, that’s it’s a legend, never happened.
